I just looked up the Steven Staynor story. I remember crying my eyes out in 1989 when I watched it. Saddest story. Must have had a profound effect on your entire community. So many lives destroyed by one sick monster. I am a reformed liberal. Once upon a time I was vehemently against the death penalty. Now not so much. Do believe the brother deserves a bit of latitude though as had the system worked he’d have been a very different man. Doubt that there are any serial killers without a profoundly horrific history. Fuck! Capital punishment is beyond what my itty bitty brain can fathom.
I am curious as to what your feelings are about punishment for child sex offenders. had purnell been put away for life at least four maybe 5 people would be alive today. I think hurt those who cannot defend themselves once and then you never see the light of day again. Laws are so messed up. Ass backwards. people get caught having adult consenting sex in some places and have to register as sex offenders. man sodomizes a child pleads down to avoid victim pain and he has the same scarlet letter as a woman who gave head in a car to her boyfriend. Why do Johns and prostitutes not have to register as sex offenders. In one case i read about a drunk guy was relieving himself next to a school on a summer night and was arrested for indecent/lewd behavior near a school. It was evening and summer.
Anyhow that movie haunted me. stuck with me more than 20 years later and i saw a dramatized portrayal. you lived there. What do you think the appropriate punishment should be for anyone who harms a child (or elder person as it seems that is on the rise) or anyone who facilitates such heinous acts?

Make fun of her all the time for her love of bacon. Eats it on everything sometimes she lies to herself and even calls it pancetta. Salads, burgers, eggs, sandwiches, pasta.
