Writer sued and won but it exposed the whole industry. In the end the bookkeeping didn’t change just the contracts.

    I thought the SOS was supposed to be nonpartisan? Also, I can’t help but think of Laura Bush’s good advocacy work for the plight of Afghan women for the past several years.

      Funny, after the Tucson Massacre (Gabby wasn’t the only victim), I thought of Hinckley. He was immediately labeled a nutjob, but the Giffords’ assassin was labeled…….as a Sarah Palin influenced murderer ?

I tend to have a problem with the idea of not letting your faith “interfere” with your public policy. If you’re a Catholic, and you don’t believe in the tenets of the church, then it’s just dogma.

      I thought there was a difference between what Reagan and Kennedy said. Kennedy was talking about keeping government money out of the church (no school vouchers, for examples) and not having your executive actions informed by faith. Reagan talked about how the church should not be dictated to by the government. I’m sure neither envisioned a day when the federal government would get involved in their insurance policies.
