Ann Romney’s Birthday Party to Be Hosted by a Dude Arrested for Barbecuing a Dog

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, who once strapped his dog to the roof of the family station wagon before embarking on a road trip, has again chosen to thumb his nose at the all-important dog vote by throwing a fundraising birthday party for his wife Ann at the house of Frederick Malek III. While to most people, Malek is just another rich guy who respects Romney’s Reaganesque hair, to dogs, Malek is a living terror — when he was a youth, he was arrested for animal cruelty after police discovered that he and some friends had killed and barbecued a dog. What the everloving hell is wrong with Mitt Romney?

Fred Malek III has had a long, illustrious career in politics— he’s worked for President Nixon and the first, less-shitty of the Presidents Bush. In 2008, he served as the National Finance Co-Chair of John McCain’s Presidential campaign. He’s had a formidable business career as well, serving important roles with Mariott and the Carlyle Group and Northwest Airlines. But before any of this, he was just a young, drunk, blood-covered West Point graduate standing around a spit containing a slowly rotating, skinned dog.

You can always tell when Obama is in trouble. That’s when he unleashes his lapdogs. Attacking a woman is just icing on the cake.

There is no real news here. Malek has been involved in GOP politics for forty years. They’re just trying to change the subject.

      I do not care if some one is “liberal” or ” conservative” or “moderate” as long as they got there by using their own criticlal thinking and life experience. Part of education is learning critical thinking.

      Oh, please. I think Romney needs to man up and say that he’ll release 10 years IF and when Obama releases his own records re: college, his client list from his attorney days, the reason his license was forfeited, etc.

      Or if that’s too radioactive, then he should point out that Obama is awfully curious about every penny money Mitt Romney has ever earned, and remarkably incurious about where our tax dollars are going, to places like the GSA and Solyndra and a wasted stimulus.

        Actually the Romney camp already answered that request when it was initially made (right around the Obama hot mic “I’ll be more flexible after the election” to Putin’s minion) that he’ll release all his tax records when Obama releases all his transcripts of private meetings with head of state so the American people can know what Obama is promising that he doesn’t want us to know about.

      I personally despise him, because his sycophantic drooling over Obama’s pants crease made me sick in 2008.

      But I still like to read him because he’s smart, and often has something intelligent and pertinent to say. The world would be a saner place if we could all realize that enjoying reading someone ≠ absolute endorsement of them in every way.

    Back when I was a yellowdog I used to take pleasure in exposing and laughing at GOP scandals. Not so much when a Democrat was caught with his hand in the nookie jar.

    Nowadays I really don’t care. In any large enough group of people there will be scandals.
