I love her because she makes them crazy. Every time backtack and his bunch spew their bs, she speaks uses common sense and people pay attention and the bunch look like the liars and fools they are.
You know, I had heard this personal story about Mitt Romney mentioned, but had never looked at the details. It’s pretty impressive, actually. He shut down Bain Capital and flew the entire staff to NYC to comb the streets, and hired his own private investigator, when the druggie kid of his partner went missing.
For those keeping score at home: that’s Dog saved:
Romney 1, Obama 0.
Or, if you’d rather: that’s verified acts of unselfishness
Romney 3*; Obama 0.
I’m counting the story, with video, of Romney & his son removing a huge tree stump from the front yard of a man who had been a victim of a San Diego fire as reported by CBS (no less). Video here:
I was talking about this today. Romney will probably pick some boring guy (Rob Portman is high on the list) but R-Money will have enough of a war chest to blow away Obama’s meager funds.
The unintended side effect of all the “Game Change” stuff out there is that it shone the light on just how tremendously bad Steve Schmidt was as a campaign manager. First of all, McCain got the B Team because no one thought he would be the nominee. When he won, his goal was to run the kind of campaign that campaign reform would be proud of, otherwise known as a losing campaign.
According to Meaghan McCain, her father wanted Joe Lieberman because it would represent a fusion campaign of a maverick Republicans and a former Democrat. I imagine Schmidt offered McCain a choice that would not lose him half of the Republican Party, a female Republican governor.
Here’s where McCain was the problem. The ideological difference between him and Sarah Palin is pretty small compared to that of McCain and Joe Lieberman. The difference is that McCain likes and respects Lieberman. If Joe went of the script, McCain would have defended him. On the other hand, I think Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace used Sarah Palin’s disconnect from Washington politics as a scapegoat for their incompetence. If John McCain were running with her now, I think he would understand what a force she was. She saved his Senate seat in 2010.
I get sick and tired of people blaming McCain’s loss on Sarah. The ONLY time he pulled ahead of Obama was after he picked her. And R’s started losing again after a) McCain suspended his campaign during the financial crisis, and b) He allowed his idiot advisors to basically muzzle her.
When they were allowing Sarah to do her thing and take her shots at Obama, they were LEADING in the polls. They fucking chickened out, lost, then blamed it on her.
By the way, Steve Schmidt was the idiot adviser who told McCain to suspend his campaign so he could get the GOP to vote for TARP. That probably lost the GOP another dozen seats in Congress in 2008.

They found her. Saved her life:

In 2007, Romney & his sons also saved a dog’s life (and a bunch of people’s too).

Meh. I fell asleep watching “Gone in 60 Seconds” and woke up during the 700 Club.
It’s like regaining consciousness in church. I hate when that happens.
how are you feeling??? Is the medicine helping or is it too soon to tell???
Both. I’m sleeping better but mostly during the day.
At Fort Stewart GA tomorrow, Pres Obama will sign Executive Order to protect military/vets/families from fraudulent learning programs.
why would you need an executive order for something like this?? I can not see anyone in congress voting against it.
election year?????
File under: They just don’t even care anymore.
The new head of the Democratic Party in Georgia is a criminal, with a lengthy rap sheet including battery among other things.

So that’s were all this talk about “GA turning blue” has come from — what better way to steal an election than to put a criminal in charge of it?
it works.
