I’m Back!

gxc7hjO6z0OP0NIXDLTdwg2

I was minding my own business about mid-day yesterday when a black helicopter from DHS swooped down and fried my internet connection. Moments ago it was finally restored.

I have been climbing the walls the last 18 hours like a junkie feenin’ for a fix.

This is an open thread while I catch up on everything.

I’m surprised this movie did so well:

Ahhhh, I see many noms for Team Obama :D Funny how all that Hollywood schmoozing paid off. I think Lincoln will sweep for Speilberg, he raised the most money from Academy Voters and they all want jobs in his future films.

I think the ratings are going to tank for the broadcast as they should have thrown in a blockbuster like Dark Night or Avengers, you know, movies people actually went to ;)

Welcome back. We lost power for about an hour last night. Right when the TV weatherman was explaining to us that all was well and the wind was unlikely to trigger any power outages. He barely got the words out when pffftt.

I want to be a weatherman. You get paid big bucks to be wrong about everything.

Most of the commentary on the trillion dollar coin idea has focused on its legality. That’s the wrong question. The right question is: “Is this a wise thing to do?” And the answer is a resounding, “NO!”

CNN, I think it was Ashley Banfield, in her trial balloon coverage for Obama, asked the ‘reporter’ what would happen if they lost the coin.

Without missing a beat he responded that they could mint another.

LOL ! On a related note, I saw where DHS is hiring private bus companies to line the parade route for extra security. I had to laugh at that because in NYC they hire cement trucks to line the streets around the UN when they’re in session or whatever building Obama’s in fundraising.

    I do love Iowa Hawk

Good news: thanks to Obama, highly-regarded company hiring; Bad news: no openings for poetry grads http://www.indeed.com/cmp/Smith-&-Wesson

Very few in the western world, except maybe for France, paying attention to this but with the fall of Konna, Bamako is next…..once Mali goes…all of West Africa goes and the Islamists have their “window” to North and South America. This was Qaddafi’s plan when he helped support the civil war in Liberia. But…..didn’t our illustrious president tell us these guys were done???? They’ve just switched direction….

you really did not expect hollywood to nominate a film that does not show backtrack as a god did you?? It does not matter that the film made more money than any other, it did praise backtrack
