  8. catarina says:

    It’s Congresses fault got that?

  9. catarina says:

The only thing they haven’t had the balls to blame is *the video*

  10. catarina says:

put a fucking SOCK IN IT!

  11. myiq2xu says:

    Finally! Hillary speaks.

    First, a speech.

  12. catarina says:

This is a farce and a joke.

She made it clear in the morning hearing that a coverup was not the issue. That it just didn’t matter.

Now she’s going on about all the times security did work!
That will make Stevens’ mother feel better, I’m sure.

  13. myiq2xu says:

I think the black lady to Hillary’s right-rear is doing a crossword or something. Maybe she’s texting her friends.

  14. foxyladi14 says:

I think she is being very competent Unlike her boss. :)

  15. HELENK says:

  17. catarina says:

Someone tell her the microphone works and she doesn’t need to yell?

  18. myiq2xu says:

These guys get 5 minutes each and Hillary is making sure her answers are at least 4 1/2 minutes long.

  19. swanspirit says:

“The funds provided by congress were inadequate” . the party line ….give us more money or this will happen again
    I am sorry , I am getting sick .

  20. myiq2xu says:

Hillary has become a master at laying down a word fog.

  21. HELENK says:

Has anyone heard any real answers on Benghazi. I have heard more bullshit on money and every other thing that has happened in the ME but very little on the actual attack and the failures before , during and after it.

  22. myiq2xu says:

The only hope for accountability and answers on Benghazi died on election day.

  23. catarina says:

    Asskisser Dem up.
And this one is batshit insane too.
“The stones and the earth wept.”

  24. taw46 says:

This crap is worse than Round One.

  25. driguana says:

I tried…this is ridiculous to watch….the invasion of the body snappers has begun…after this second hearing, the hounds of retribution will be unleashed with full force…get ready….I’d suggest that if you really want to see what the next 4 years has in store for us, tune in to MSNBC, CNN or NBC tonight and watch their reaction to all of this…that will be the official laying on of the party line…nice and thick tonight…sad and disgusting. I’m sorry but Hillary may have her shit together and all that but this is really disgusting and hard to take. I watched all of Watergate and the 9/11/Iraq invasion but this is the pits….to think that an American ambassador was killed, after just “supposedly” meeting with an emissary from Turkey, and weapons and perpetrators from Benghazi supposedly showing up in Algeria and not one word from any of the survivors…..and this is what we get!!!! wowser….

  26. taw46 says:

Twitter is not even interested this go around.

  27. myiq2xu says:

    This is a real snoozefest.

  28. gram cracker says:

    From Benghazi timeline

9:42 p.m. — Armed men begin their assault on the U.S. Consulate.
9:59 p.m. — A surveillance drone is directed to fly over the U.S. compound, but it is unarmed.

    (3 & 1/2 hours later)

1:30 a.m. — A six-man security team from the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli arrives in Benghazi. (including Glen Doherty)

(7+ hours after attack on consulate)

5:15 a.m. — Attackers launch assault on a second U.S. facility (CIA annex) in Benghazi. Two former U.S. Navy SEALs acting as security contractors are killed. They are identified as Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

Seven plus hours and and our response was to send in a small security team. Pathetic response from those in the Situation Room.

If Ambassador Stevens was meeting with the Turkish diplomat as part of the CIA’s program to ship arms from Libya to Turkey for fighters in Syria then why wouldn’t the CIA and DOD have covert security in the immediate area prepared to defend the so called “consulate” and CIA annex. Were arms stored in the annex or was it used to interrogate prisoners? WTF was going on in Benghazi?

  29. HELENK says:

I just listened to Hillary Clinton say no requests for additional security never came to her attention. WHY NOT???
I have had to gather information from different depts for the morning meetings with the general manager of railroads. GOD HELP the one who did not have proper info to tell the GM what was going on.

  30. myiq2xu says:

LOL – Fox chryon says Hillary “grilled” on Benghazi.

  31. catarina says:

Hill sez there was no real time surveillance.

  32. taw46 says:

    Finally, the video!

  33. HELENK says:

I am going to the store. my stomach will not take too much more of this BS. the dems are embarrassing in their fawning and the repubs are not getting any real answers

  34. catarina says:

“shame on the House!” for not funding state.

  35. foxyladi14 says:

Hill is holding her own. ;)

  36. DeniseVB says:

I have no dog in the game, oh wait…..

My bad. Still can’t watch the Hill……

  37. gram cracker says:

One survivor was identified as early as 4 Oct 2012 by NBC news

“The father of an American bodyguard injured in the deadly attack on the U.S. mission in Libyan city of Benghazi said Wednesday the State Department should own up to what he said were its mistakes and release more information about what occurred.

David Ubben, a 31-year-old State Department employee, suffered broken bones and other injuries in the Sept. 11 attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. David Ubben is having a series of surgeries and his father expects him to be hospitalized for several months.

Rex Ubben, 60, said he was a 24-year Air Force veteran who retired in 1995 as master sergeant. He was based at various U.S. embassies.

He said David Ubben described the violence on Sept. 11 as “obviously an attack and not a riot,” and sketched out what appeared to be a sophisticated mortar attack during the second wave of the assault. That took place at another compound where U.S. and Libyan personnel retreated, and resulted in the death of Doherty and Woods.

“What I wanted to know was whether the second part of the attack was pre-planned. The first (mortar) dropped 50 yards short and the next two were right on target,” he said, adding his son “was not conscious for any more.”

“This indicates to me that someone was either very, very good, highly trained and skilled, or that the mortar was already set up and pointed at the safe house and only minor adjustments were needed,” he said.”

Hope you were able to sing at the funeral today. Must have been difficult especially since you so recently lost your mom. Still missing my mom even after almost 10 years.

  40. gram cracker says:

OK so you all have tuned out on the hearing or donut licking going on in the House.

If anyone is still out there can you tell me how to make fresh beer stale? Beer is never around here long enough to get stale naturally so I need some tips on how to make it go stale for use in marinating meat to make chili.

  41. cj says:

Just turned it on, sounds like I didn’t miss much.

  42. myiq2xu says:

These knob slobbings are getting ridiculous.

    • cj says:

Yeah, I can’t watch anymore. Apparently Obama was right, and it was nothing but a bump in the road. We can’t even get a straight answer about why no one was fired. 4 dead out of incompetence or worse & Hill goes into a huff when asked about administrative leave.

      • myiq2xu says:

Paula Deen has an episode on BBQ cooking coming on GAC

      • gram cracker says:

Just what do you have to do to get fired?

A key takeaway learning for US Ambassadors should be that if they have a concern about the security of their personnel and facilities they need to contact the SOS personally and directly. You just can’t count on the Lambs back in the bureaucracy in DC to look out for you and your personnel’s safety.

      • Karma says:

To be fair, she did answer. It is against the law to fire them and reassignment was their only option. She answered that at the Senate hearings and touched on it again at the House hearings. The employees actions didn’t rise to the level required to let them go. And that Hillary recommended legislation to the committee in order to resolve that issue within the federal govt.

        • cj says:

Thanks, didn’t watch long enough to hear that, but it does make me feel somewhat better about her answer.

        • myiq2xu says:

So four people paid with their lives, but nobody will pay with their jobs.

        • Karma says:

I didn’t see the whole thing either but that was one part I did catch in both hearings. It was nice to finally know the real answer since the media was painting the issue as if State was protecting them rather than choosing to dismiss them. Which was a concern of mine as well.

Anyway, in the House hearings she seemed more irritated with the question and concerned about violating the employees’ privacy rights by answering in more detail. So without seeing the Senate answer, Hillary’s House hearings response seemed even more incomplete.

        • Karma says:

          Myiq,

It was something about how the ARB classified their negligence that didn’t rise to the level required to fire them. The Senate hearing is where she used the specific terms, can’t remember them now, sorry.

But it is something we’ve all known for decades. As long as you show up, it’s almost impossible to get fired from a govt job.

And somehow I doubt the committee/Congree will make it easier to fire govt employees even after this attack.

    • gram cracker says:

Who knew the Dem superdelegates had such admiration for HRC. She could have used their accolades and support back in 2008 when it would have counted.

The State Dept. was used. Too bad nobody can ask the CIA what the annex was being used for. ( Conveniently for Patraeus). I think arms for the rebels and nobody can say it.

  45. driguana says:

Tell the Truth…the original one….later the truth was stolen by Ray Charles who now supports Obama…guess this kinda sums it up for me today…to Tell the Truth…it’s a sad day for veracity in America but as I said earlier….clinton and veracity are antonyms!

  46. gram cracker says:

I’d like to ask Hillary why for so many hours the only public communication regarding the demonstration in Cairo from the US government was from the lone tweeter State Department US Embassy employee in Cairo blaming the demonstrations on the infamous video.

Neither the POTUS or the SOS communicated with the public for hours as the events unfolded. Since when does the US government use tweets from a lowly staffer speak for the government?

When Romney remarked on the situation about 5 hours later he was pilloried for speaking publicly when a US citizen had died in Benghazi. I was at a rally in Fairfax, VA a week later where when Romney called for a minute of silence for those who died in Benghazi, someone planted in the audience shouted out, “why do you want to politicize Benghazi?”

Panetta opens combat roles to women

Senior defense officials say Pentagon chief Leon Panetta is removing the military’s ban on women serving in combat, opening hundreds of thousands of front-line positions and potentially elite commando jobs after more than a decade at war.

The groundbreaking move recommended by the Joint Chiefs of Staff overturns a 1994 rule prohibiting women from being assigned to smaller ground combat units. Panetta’s decision gives the military services until January 2016 to seek special exceptions if they believe any positions must remain closed to women.

A senior military official says the services will develop plans for allowing women to seek the combat positions. Some jobs may open as soon as this year. Assessments for others, such as special operations forces, including Navy SEALS and the Army’s Delta Force, may take longer.

    live Ray Charles version….

    this just in…..live video from today’s hearings…

  50. OT: This is actually huge, and long overdue. http://www.bigstory.ap.org/article/panetta-opens-combat-roles-women

Now open up Selective Services and institute a zero tolerance policy on rape, and the military will finally be the modern machine it needs to be.

  51. gram cracker says:

At last the weaving and dodging is over.

    Now listening to The Five.
