NO, NO, NO, A thousand times NO!

What the fuck if is wrong with this these people? Does fame make you stupid?

Chris Rock: The President of the United States is our boss, our Dad

During a press conference with the mayor’s against gun control, actor Chris Rock said he was there to support President Obama’s plan for gun control.

“The President of the United States is – you know – our boss, but he’s also you know, the President and the First Lady are like the mom and the dad of the country and when your dad says something you listen – if you don’t it kind of bites you in the ass later on,” Rock said.

As a comedian, Rock was famous for trashing President George W. Bush in his comedy sketches including this one where he mocks the president for being the worst fu**ing president of all time.

President Obama is not our boss. He is our employee. There was a period of my life when first Jimmy Carter and then Ronald Reagan were my bosses. That’s because I joined the army and they were my commanders-in-chief. But all that ended a long time ago.

Nor is the president my father, dad, step-dad or father figure. He’s fucking younger than me! He’s not the “Father of Our Country” either. That title belongs to George Washington.

Obama is not our king. We do not bow or kneel before him. As civilians we do not salute him. But the rules of polite behavior (aka “manners”) decree that we should be formally polite to him, just as we would be to anyone else. That means addressing him by his title (“Mr. President”) and rising to our feet politely when he enters, leaves or addresses us personally – just as we would treat a judge. But unlike a judge, it is not a crime to be intentionally rude to the president.

The president can urge us to action but normally he cannot compel us to obey. He is “first among equals” because every man and woman in the country is considered a sovereign citizen.

The sad and scary part is that Chris Rock knows all that.

Sadly, Chris is not alone in this insanity. Obots all feel this way, and way too many of the general Dem population feel this way. And this is with a disastrous presidency so far, any way you cut it. This is a cult. And it’s fucking scary.

When I think about it, Barack Obama does remind me of my dad as I was growing up:

He comes up with confusing arbitrary rules that I’m not suppose to question.
He expects me to do my chores with no backtalk.
He likes to criticize how I drive, eat, and spend my money.
He’s not a big believer in Democracy.

One difference, though: I don’t recall paying my dad an allowance.

Death is a drag, but what gets to me is that we now have to buy…plastic bags for garbage, waste baskets, lunch sacks, etc, etc. We re-used plastic bags for everything in this house and I never bought bags for anything. Now that they’re banned I’m forced to go to the grocery store and buy bags. This does nothing to help the environment. To make matters worse, we have a tax on paper bags now, so you are forced to use re-useable bags. Guess what people do with their reusable bags? Throw them out every couple of weeks. You can see them all over our parks and beaches.

  5. Actually Chris Rock does NOT know that…….anymore. His self-administered racial Kool-aid has been too intoxicating. Whatever he “knew” just over four years ago slipped his feeble mind and will likely never return. His criticisms of GWB were never very deep, either, so IMO the jury is still out as to whether he was that smart, or had merely mimicked others.

  6. yttik says:

Well crap, I didn’t know it was illegal to be intentionally rude to a judge. Can you still do it behind their back?

    • angienc (D) says:

It’s only illegal if you do it in they are presiding in a courtroom — it’s called “contempt of court” (if the judge wishes to fine you) and you can get a fine and/or jail time (both of which are at the whim of the judge). Otherwise you can talk as much shit as you want about them, but if you do & it gets back to them, you better hope you don’t end up in their courtroom because there are other ways they can *get* you short of a contempt of court charge.

oops Mr. Rock …. NSFW (language) but includes transcript. Actually pretty funny when he says it, but it still makes him a hypocrite. Guess he’s evolved ?

  9. yttik says:

If Obama is our Dad, I wonder if we can sue him for back child support?

    • HELENK says:

well he is a deadbeat. ask all the vendors that had to fight to get paid from his campaign

      • DeniseVB says:

He had creditors breathing down his back before his first book sold. He and MO kept taking out lines of credit on their condo.

Just like he runs the country, huh? But that wasn’t important to vet in 2008, calling Sarah Palin dumb was.

Google Michelle Obama’s Magic Beans…..should pop up :)

Holy Moly …. GZ is a registered Dem and voted for Obama.

  12. swanspirit says:

Chris Rock is not educated, and most of his career is based on race relations . He may know that the president is not “our dad ” but I doubt if he cares what he says . He is a racist .

You could stand in one of Chris Rock’s deepest thoughts and not get your ankles wet.

In other news, M, you are the man – but your proofreading’s a bit sad just now. I think your opener should read – What is wrong with these people ….
