The most open and transparent administration ever

It’s kinda like torture – they changed the definition so they could say we don’t use torture.

We just perform enhanced interrogations using waterboarding.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Left Blogistan to jump on this. They’re busy sampling the flavor of the week, Sharkleberry Fin.

“I think there are discussions, even about transparency and developing rules about transparency that we need to be able to have quietly and behind closed doors.” – Daniel Gordon, White House staff

According to AofS this ain’t no chick flick:

It’s about the inanity of being a bridesmaid… to many that’s chick flick by definition. I have seen several clips of this movie and remain underwhelmed… kinda cute, yeah, but humor seems forced/contrived and sit-com-ish.

Women acting sorta like frat boys in drag? No wonder AofS liked it* 😉

Yeah, the Awl is not so sure.

At Salon, Rebecca Traister went so far as to term attendance a “social responsibility,” while Mary Elizabeth Williams called the film “your first black president of female driven comedies.” (Eek.) In other words, the sisterhood is calling, and your solidarity is required by way of your wallet.

I saw it this weekend and liked it overall. Some spots had frat boy stuff but at other times I almost peed myself I was laughing so hard. I liked it.

When I clicked the K00l-aide site, my security system quarantined the site and found a Trojan menace. So, beware when opening that link.

As to openness, I’m still waiting to see our dear leader accept his openness and transparency award which was given is a secret private ceremony.

    BWahhhh! This is too Orwellian.

The Donald is not running for POTUS.

He cancelled a Tea Party appearance in SC today, so I am guessing he was considering running then backed out.

    Run Sarah Run.

    The administration is tranparent.

Except it’s only to those of us who see right through them.

Left Blogistan is too busy jumping on this story from Chrirs Hedges:

Obama and West’s last personal contact took place a year ago at a gathering of the Urban League when, he says, Obama “cussed me out.” Obama, after his address, which promoted his administration’s championing of charter schools, approached West, who was seated in the front row.

“He makes a bee line to me right after the talk, in front of everybody,” West says. “He just lets me have it. He says, ‘You ought to be ashamed of yourself, saying I’m not a progressive. Is that the best you can do? Who do you think you are?’ I smiled.

    Sign of the times:
“Professor West chose sides and began to undermine candidate Obama is small and large ways. Candidate Obama ceased calling West back because he was in the middle of a fierce campaign and West’s loyalties were, at best, divided.”

    Progressive Blog:
“Cornell West has been out bashing
    President Obama, much of it
    for pettiness . . .”

Morning headline at pro-Obama “Progressive” Raw Story:

Scholar: Cornel West’s Comments Smack of Birtherism
