Looking forward to this Bill Clinton cover of Newsweek. At least someone is thinking about job creation.

      CGI America http://www.cgiamerica.org/

This June, building on his global leadership through the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), President Clinton is responding to challenges in the United States by convening business, government, and civic leaders to focus on economic recovery and job growth. With the unemployment rate near 9 percent, there is an urgent need to re-energize the U.S. economy, create jobs, and better equip workers for new opportunities.

At CGI America, participants will focus on strengthening American industries, unlocking capital for innovation and entrepreneurship, advancing energy efficiency and smart infrastructure, and training the next generation for the workforce. The goal of the meeting is to generate Commitments to Action – new, specific, and measurable plans to address challenges in the U.S., particularly through job creation and investment.

In other words … Bill Clinton is doing something while Obama is busy pressing the Present button when he’s not teeing up at the local golf course.

Ya think the Kosholes are beginning to realize that Obama is not all that?

The feature article in the NYTimes Magazine this week is about smoking weed at Disneyland. This is a serious newspaper.

      That article was seriously hilarious!

I confess I love Disney World and I love the challenge of planning a trip to it — I always feel rather like a logistics officer planning a military raid.
But the article made me feel rather sad for that family if he was really not making that stuff up. The moms should have just ditched the dads altogether and had fun with the kids at DW.

NBC Cuts ‘Under God’ From Pledge of Allegiance being recited by children alongside images of soldiers raising the flag, at the start of the US Open. I’m not religious, but I also don’t believe NBC can go ahead and change the Pledge of Allegiance on their own.

Here’s that new article from Bill Clinton on jobs. Most of it sounds good to me. Not sure on the corporate tax cuts. Maybe if corporations and banks demonstrate some willingness to invest in our people and jobs which they aren’t doing right now. Otherwise the money will go to shareholders or overseas and deficits will grow.
