Mark Halperin insults dicks

“I thought he was a dick yesterday”

One of my oldest and best friends is a dick and on his behalf I find that comment insulting. Halperin should personally apologize to every dick in the country.

Hot Air:

Halperin should be apologizing for a lack of imagination. He’s right in that the President acted like a pouting, sullen adolescent during the press conference, whining about having to answer for the constitutionality of sending men and women into combat without asking Congress for authorization. Obama bizarrely blamed the fiscal crisis on a small coterie of corporate-jet owners, a heretofore unknown juggernaut of economic destruction. Instead of acting presidential, Obama gave us a hissy fit for over sixty minutes. And the best Halperin can do is “dick”?

Mark Halperin suspended over Obama remark on Morning Joe

MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin was suspended on Thursday by the cable network after he called President Obama “a dick” on a popular morning show and then quickly apologized.

From the comments at Hot Air (h/t WMCB):

He should have called Obama a slut. The going rate for that is only a week…

    ROTFLMAO!! Someone on NPR commented

“A Dick is a functioning part of the human anatomy and brings both pleasure and produces something of substance. Obama is incapable of either of those things, therefore, the remark was wrong.”

  2. WMCB says:

Even Obot Gloria Berger is seeing a little light break through the Obama-love, and takes a bat to Obama’s “leadership”. Read the whole article, it’s good:

Call me old-fashioned, but when the president and congressional leaders get into a tussle over who should be “leading” the country in matters of real national consequence, I feel like sending them to their rooms.
“Call me naive,” President Obama said at his news conference today. “But my expectation is that leaders are going to lead.”

    Mine, too.

So imagine my surprise when the president came to his own press conference — which he called — without anything much new to say on possible ways get to a deal to raise the national debt ceiling.

Mark Halperin suspended over Obama remark on Morning Joe

MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin was suspended on Thursday by the cable network after he called President Obama “a dick” on a popular morning show and then quickly apologized.

He is still working for Time magazine

    • WMCB says:

“We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.”

Yeah, they strive for such a high level. Snickering teabagger jokes are fine, but god forbid anyone use a schoolyard word commonly known to mean “jerk” directed at the president.

      • sandress says:

Well, given that rape jokes are fine on MSNBC, maybe it was the denigration of penises that they objected to. Personally, I’m making an attempt to stop insulting people by likening them to body parts that I quite enjoy. So, today, I shall call Obama a weeping, infected, gangrenous pustule.

Hey, MS-NBC, how about “we expect a high level of leadership”….

Halperin thought the President had been a dick. Halperin said he thought the President had been a dick. And I watched that press conference yesterday, and the President was well and truly a dick. That’s no gaffe, and I’m sorry Halperin felt the need to apologize for speaking the truth.

But that’s been SOP in Washington for decades now.

    • DeniseVB says:

Proof is in this Dick-vid, and yes he was an arrogant prick too 😀
Being called out on hypocrisy too……

      • sandress says:

He’s been DOING BIN LADEN?!? What the HELL is going on in Washington?

Seriously, though, the great orator strikes again.

        • WMCB says:

There would have been much snickering over that gaffe if a female candidate had said she’d been doing Bin Laden.

Besides, what the hell did he do besides say “Um…okay” when they came to him with the plan set to go? How much time did that take? Does he think he’s a Navy Seal?

Comment on HotAir about the indefinite suspension:

  6. votermom says:

I was going to say something like Halperin ought to know, since he & his mag have been you know what-ing it for the past 4 years … but the mental image is too yucky.

  7. 1539days says:

I’m trying to figure out if he even meant it or he was screwing around with the seven second delay and no one saved him. I love MSNBC’s response to everything is an indefinite suspension. Maybe they shouldn’t have so many dicks on the network who need to be banned.

I’m no Romney fan but these ads are powerful:

  9. WMCB says:

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Obama stood there with a straight face and lectured Congress on too much vacation and not working enough.

  10. WMCB says:

I am also very happy this morning that Barky The Wonderdick put his boundless douchebaggery on full display last night for all the world to see.

See what I did there? Fair and balanced, peeps.

    powerful ad 🙂

  12. Anthony Weiner says:

Here’s a picture of my Obama

  13. WMCB says:

I am spreading the jokes for all I am worth. Because I’m silly and childish and think it’s a big deal? Nope. Because Obama is a narcissist, and the one thing narcissists cannot abide is mockery. They have a problem with even serious criticism, but mockery, especially mockery over insignificant things, makes them batshit. And I’d really like to make this guy batshit.

Spread the word! Laugh it up! 😀

Obama is not only a dick, he’s a lying dick.

Obamanomics, leaving on a jet planeReuters

McKinsey consultants have found that if the U.S. public sector could just halve the productivity gap with the private sector, its productivity would be as much as 15 percent higher and would generate annual savings of up to $300 billion a year.

Yet as the Bipartisan Policy Center noted in a new report, the federal government will take in some $170 billion in August while debt payments only equal $29 billion. Actually, that’s enough revenue to cover debt payments, entitlement (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid) payments, unemployment benefits and payments to active-duty military with billions left over. It might be messy and chaotic, but that is not the same as default.

This has got to be my favorite day in the last 100. You know it’s bad when your friends are calling you a dick. Add to that Bachmann’s success so far and Amy Siskind’s op-ed in the HuffPo (provoking fragile feminists once again!), my day could not get better without a presidential election.
