    From Politico:

RESTRICTED AIRSPACE: A fighter plane escorted a civilian aircraft from restricted airspace over Camp David on Friday afternoon, with President Obama and his family staying at the retreat for the weekend.

An F-15E fighter under the direction of North American Aerospace Defense Command intercepted a Piper small craft at about 4:45 p.m. ET., according to a NORAD release. The president was not at Camp David at the time, according to the Associated Press.

The civilian aircraft, which was out of radio communication, was intercepted and escorted to Martinsburg Airport, W.V.

The president and his daughter Sasha were forced Friday to switch from the Marine One helicopter to a motorcade to avoid bad weather for their journey to Camp David.

    Congrats on so many hits…
So many words…so many more to say.

I hope to see all this civil disobedience continue.
Laudy we are civilized…if nothing else.

Been a cast off bitter knitter polka dancing clinger since forever.

OT, but THIS is what I predicted, and why I didn’t join on to the pro-WikiLeaks bandwagon.

This is the real world, not a fucking game. There are real people out there, who are going to be substantially harmed and perhaps killed because a bunch of immature asshats decided to play a big game with State secrets about which they knew nothing. They are nasty little overgrown children, passing Mary’s embarrassing diary around the school for no reason other than that they can.

A former WikiLeaks insider talks about his leaving the organization, and what he witnessed:

The final straw for me came on Friday. By drawing attention to, and then publishing in full, the unredacted cache of documents, WikiLeaks has done the cause of internet freedom – and of whistleblowers – more harm than US government crackdowns ever could.

Before the first publication of carefully redacted cables, human rights activists, NGOs, and organisations working with victims of horrific crimes contacted WikiLeaks begging us to take steps not to publish any names. To be able to assure them details would be protected was an immeasurable relief.

These cables contain details of activists, opposition politicians, bloggers in autocratic regimes and their real identities, victims of crime and political coercion, and others driven by conscience to speak to the US government. They should never have had to fear being exposed by a self-proclaimed human rights organisation.

Read the whole article. When people start turning up dead and in the prisons of dictatorial regimes, these fuckers ought to be tried for fucking MURDER, or at the very least reckless endangerment.
