Turn out the lights, the party’s over

Obama has lost MoDoDo:

One and Done?

[…]

Obama is still suffering from the Speech Illusion, the idea that he can come down from the mountain, read from a Teleprompter, cast a magic spell with his words and climb back up the mountain, while we scurry around and do what he proclaimed.

The days of spinning illusions in a Greek temple in a football stadium are done. The One is dancing on the edge of one term.

The White House team is flailing — reacting, regrouping, retrenching. It’s repugnant.

After pushing and shoving and caving to get on TV, the president’s advisers immediately began warning that the long-yearned-for jobs speech wasn’t going to be that awe-inspiring.

“The issue isn’t the size or the newness of the ideas,” one said. “It’s less the substance than how he says it, whether he seizes the moment.”

The arc of justice is stuck at the top of a mountain. Maybe Obama was not even the person he was waiting for.

Stick a fork in him.

That’s Large Marge, my prom date.

She’s lost some weight since high school.

  2. imustprotest says:

MoDo still doesn’t get it when she says stuff like this:

The leader who was once a luminescent, inspirational force is now just a guy in a really bad spot.

He always was just a guy. A guy with no resume, no drive, no real ideas or interest in policy that media jerks like MoDo coddled and carried over the finish line kicking the real competent one to the curb.

No. 2 on David Letterman’s Top Ten List of the president’s plans for Labor Day: “Pretty much whatever the Republicans tell him he can do.”

    • Dario says:

It was MoDo who decided Obama was “a luminescent, inspirational force”. He was no such thing. If she listened to the campaign speeches again, she would find the speeches vacuous.

    • bluestate says:

for real. he has always been exactly as he is now, but of course, the maureen dowds of the world are not big enough to admit they were wrong.

    • Buttered says:

      TOUCHE Imustprotest!

MoDo is a perpetual remedial student under heavy medication.

She thinks she’s brilliant for discovering (fill in your favorite Liestream Media Lie here)……… but she’s just a loud-mouthed tool!

  3. yttik says:

“Maybe Obama was not even the person he was waiting for.”

Obviously MoDo wasn’t listening. Obama made it abundantly clear that you were the ones he was waiting for. I can only assume he meant a bunch of morons who would vote for somebody simply because he was a blank slate for you to project your hopes and dreams upon.

  4. Mimi says:

Since MoDo is a paid spokesperson for the moneyed elites, I will take this as a sign that President Barack Obama is about to be shit-canned.

    • ralphb says:

Oh yeah. New fearless leader coming right up I’m sure.

    • DandyTiger says:

Even though Obama the sniveler is doing the bidding of his bosses, no one wants a pathetic loser. And besides, why have a Republican lite do your bidding when you can have a real Republican doing your biding.

They’ll probably hold on to Obama a while longer in case the Republican primaries don’t go their way. But if they do and they get someone they control (esp. Perry), then they’re good to go and will bail on Obama. Bye bye. I suspect just these early signs that Perry will likely be the nominee is enough for more moves to abandon Obama.

    • Mimi says:

She also called him “languid”. Isn’t that like racist?

      • Buttered says:

Oh that is such a racist word!!!!!!!!

        Languid!

Everyone knows languid is a racist stereo-type of Muslims!

SNARK SNARK (for the humor impaired)

    • Compared to MoDo head, Noonan’s piece this week was actually quite generous. Establishment Republicans are going soft on BO. What a surprise.

  5. fif says:

There was also a clip of Olbermann asking furiously of Obama, “What the hell you are doing?” re: the EPA. I’m still waiting for Tweety to cave. Even we didn’t know he was going to be this abominable. The law of entropy on steroids.
