Clinton: ‘Below zero’ chance at challenging Obama

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says there is a “below zero” chance that she will challenge President Barack Obama for the presidency in 2012.

In an interview with CNN’s Alison Kosik on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, the former senator from New York said she is happy with her current job.

“One of the great things about being Secretary of State is I am out of politics,” Clinton said. “I have a big job to do and I am honored to do it everyday.”

When Kosik asked if she would ever get back into politics, Clinton said she had the same feelings.

“I don’t think so. I think I am going to stay focused on doing what I can to make sure that we continue to lead the world,” Clinton said.

“I think I’ll serve as secretary of state as my last public position,” Clinton said at a 2010 event in Bahrain. “Then (I’ll) probably go back to advocacy work, particularly on behalf of women and children, and particularly around the world.”

She told CNN’s Wolf Blizter earlier this year that if the president is re-elected she does not want to serve a second term.

Clinton and Obama fought well into overtime in a historic battle for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Since then there have been rumors that Clinton might want to primary challenge Obama in 2012, but she has consistently knocked down such talk.

Overtime? Are you fucking kidding me?

Hillary suspended her campaign and endorsed Obama on June 7, 2008, just four days after the final primaries. Those were the primaries that put her ahead of Obama in votes.

June 7th was one week after the rigged DNC/RBC decision that gave Obama some of the delegates she earned in Michigan.

Overtime? What a fucking asshole. The Democratic party died in May, 2008. Here’s to burying whatever it is that goes by that name. Fuck them.

    Working class party!!

Ha, John Boehner says Obama’s plan has merit and should be considered. I think he’s reading this blog. Pass it and Obama has nothing. Done. Put a fork in him. What’s he going to say when the economy still is in the tanker.

Senator and Secretary of State. Not bad for public enemy number 1 (of both parties). Why on earth would she want to primary Obama? She did and she won. Been there, done that.

Why should she fix their mess for them? She did not fuck up, they did. So they should fix it or get the hell out. That is my advise for Obama, Pelosi, Reid, DNC. dumbass Democrats who keep voting for this Obama/Republican mess in atrocious legislation. Fix it or leave, retire, go into exile, become hermits, jump off cliffs, or assume new identities. I think a large part of the reason that so many are not publicly ready to ditch Obama in the media and professional Democratic circles is they know there is going to be vengeance, revenge, payback, shunning, and humiliation which is better than annihilation which is what is coming.

      • I’d like to see Donna Brazile out of politics.

I saw Hillary’s interview with Wolf that day—Hill had a small smile on her face after Wolf asked her if she’d run (in a pleading voice)—– I loved that smile. It was as if she was thinking, “Why should I, Wolf? You and all your panel members trashed me thoroughly–not gonna rescue you now.”

And that wonderful look in her eyes, while smiling all the way, saying “You broke it. You bought it. I’m outta here.”

And I think Wolf knew exactly that.
