Disrespectful racist steals Obama’s cool name for bill

You can’t make this shit up:

Conservative Nabs Naming Rights to ‘American Jobs Act’ After Obama Delay

President Obama repeatedly asked members of Congress to pass the American Jobs Act last week. But when no Democrat filed Obama’s bill after he presented it to Congress, a conservative congressman swiped the name for his own legislation.

The American Jobs Act introduced in the House of Representatives looks quite different from the version President Obama outlined in his speech to Congress. Instead of hiking taxes on working Americans to pay for another stimulus, Rep. Louie Gohmert’s (R-TX) legislation offers a tax cut.

Okay, enough shitzengiggles – why hasn’t the bill been introduced to Congress yet?

The White House tried to schedule Obama’s latest Greatest Speech Ever™ for the first day Congress was back in session because this bill was so urgent.

Then they waited until last week to come up with a written bill. Now it’s still languishing because the Democrats haven’t done anything with it.

So what are they waiting for?

I am guessing no Dem wants the bill’s cooties on themselves by introducing it.

  2. yttik says:

LOL, good grief, that is pitiful, just pitiful.

  3. DandyTiger says:

So what are they waiting for?

    Their unicorns?

  4. Mary says:

Now THIS cracks me up. No Democrat will claim/introduce Obama’s bill.

This is like a Greek tragedy, watching. Except it’s so funny one can’t help but double over in laughter!

    • WMCB says:

Evidently the Democrats have become so “take responsibility averse” that they now want the Repubs to both propose the bill and then oppose it, so they get blamed for BOTH!

Brilliant strategery! We’ll come out smelling like roses! Roses, I tell ya!

      • ralphb says:

That’s not it. They don’t like his damn bill and don’t want anything to do with him. The Dems in the Senate have already declared it dead.

      • myiq2xu says:

        Speaking of responsibility averse:

        • Mary says:

It’s my understanding that yes, the loan program for Solyndra began under the Bush Administration, but the Bush administration turned it down.

So don’t let the Obots bamboozle ya by saying it was Bush’s idea. 🙂

        • ralphb says:

The Bush Admin didn’t turn it down. They sent it for completion the day before Obama was sworn in but it was sent back as incomplete.

This had been going since about 2005.

        • ralphb says:

By the way that doesn’t make what Obama admin did any better. As I think I’ve said before there is just an ongoing Bush/Cheney/Obama/Biden criminal enterprise.

        • ralphb says:

          true story 🙂

        • WMCB says:

Ralph, my understanding is that the reason why it was incomplete is that the Bush admin did have some concerns and wanted more info before the final deal, info that was not forthcoming.

We can say all day long that the Bush admin “probably” would have approved the loan eventually, but it’s pointless. They didn’t, and they are not in office anymore. The fact is, the money didn’t change hands til Obama’s administration made the hard sell and applied pressure.

          It’s his baby.

        • Why aren’t we hearing anything about Energy Sec Steven Chu or Green Czar Van Jones from the time.

        • ralphb says:

I don’t want to stick any pins in your balloon but the campaign money changed hands before any other money went through. One of the largest shareholders in Solyndra is a foundation owned by the Walton family. Last time I looked they weren’t big democratic donors.

The Obama admin owns the dispensation of funds but the Bush admin are hardly saints on this matter. One is as corrupt as the other. Obama has Solyndra, Bush owns Halliburton’s no-bid contracts.

        • Mary says:

          True story, WMCB.

Apparently—from WH emails, Energy Dept & Budget Office emails, the Obama White House rushed the approval, so Biden could have a great photo-op at the company’s ground-breaking ceremony at their new CA plant.

WH PUSHED for approval, even though Budget Office advised ‘this project is not ready for prime time.”

        • WMCB says:

I know all about Haliburton, and yelled my head off about that, too. And many others. I know both parties do it. I’m well aware.

My point was that this particular dirty deal had little to do with the Bush administration. And not only did they push it through while ignoring the obvious problems, they absolutely broke the law. The LAW, passed by Congress, expressly forbade subborning the taxpayer to any other investor. It was very specific.

Their legal counsel came up with a cockamamie excuse that what that very clear law “really meant” was that you could not do it in the original loan, but were perfectly free to later modify the loan to allow it. Which is utter bullshit. There is criminality here, which is why they are trying to obfuscate who made that call.

        • ralphb says:

Here let me help with added clarification in the way of some capital letters and exclamations.

I have NOT said that what the OBAMA admin did was LEGAL or NOT, I am not a lawyer and that’s NOT MY JOB!!!! I’m just pointing out that the entire BUSH/CHENEY/OBAMA/BIDEN Administrations ARE an ONGOING CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!! As such I’m NOT going to SHILL for either fucking side!!!! As far as I am concerned, they should both go to Hell.

But it works out like this. Bush wasn’t impeached and they aren’t going to do shit to Obama either. Lots of sound and fury signifying pure bullshit. In fact, Obama is in the dumper now. If these GOP investigators aren’t careful, they’ll pull him out of it. The last thing anyone should want is for Democrats to start thinking he’s being picked on unfairly and they are apt to do that since the only people with an approval rating below Obama’s are the douches in Congress.

        • Mary says:

ABC reporting now, Ralph, that not only is the IG/FBI combo investigating, but the Treasury Dept is, too.

It’s not gonna be about Bush, or GOP investigators. It’s gonna be about the Obama administration’s culpability and criminality.

One wonders where the hell Holder and the DOJ are, actually.

          Due respect.

        • Mary says:

Oh…..ABC also reporting that the WH “contact” for moving this loan against the wishes of OMB was VALERIE JARRETT herself.

          Ruh roh.

        • votermom says:

Valerie Jarett – wow. Doesn’t get much closer to the Obamas than that.

        • Anyway, the GOP doesn’t want Obama impeached or dumped now. They want him wounded to run against in 2012.

  5. DandyTiger says:

The bill was designed from the beginning to fail. It’s a political MacGuffin. They’re in fact basing their entire campaign around the Republican’s blocking this bill so they can say they did everything they could to fix the economy but were stopped. It’s not their fault.

Everyone in the party knows this. The MSM know this. The fact that they took forever to put something to paper is indicative as is how no one even got around to introducing the bill.

I’d say if this Republican bill hadn’t been introduced, it could have been another month or two before a bill was actually introduced. Simply because it’s not real, was never meant to be real, so they haven’t really put a big effort into going through all the motions to pretend it was real.

  6. ralphb says:

Well I found something on topic for a change. It looks like this bill does half of what Sarah suggested in Iowa. Now if they would only get rid of subsidies and reform contracting, it’s a deal.

    American Jobs Act

Congressmen Gommert’s bill is a simple two page bill calling for the elimination of the corporate tax, which is one of the policies that Sarah Palin discussed in her Tea Party speech in Iowa earlier this month

    • ralphb says:

If they love Obama, they should pass this bill 🙂

    • I think filing that is pure genius. The House should push it on through. Let Obama and the Senate deal with it. What are they going to do with all the rainbow T shirts that say “If you love Obama, pass the Am Jobs Act”?

Between that and #attackwatch, this is a week of what H44 would call Super Boobery.
