Help Obama find Emmanuel Goldstein!

Here’s the Twitter feed.

Hot Air:

This is, at least, not nearly as offensive as running a Snitch Central out of the White House. It’s just as silly, though, and every bit as petty. The categories for passing along an “attack” include significant events like a TV interview or broadcast ad, but also include such trivial categories as “forwarded e-mail” and “rumor.”

[…]

This President and his team still haven’t learned the problems that come with punching below one’s weight. Besides, their big problems don’t come from rumors; they come from the record of abject failure that Barack Obama carries into this campaign. They’d do better to spend the money to hire better economists to consult the President than the coterie of academics that keep pushing the same Obamanomics that have flopped for the better part of three years. In the meantime, this serves as a good reminder as to just how thin-skinned and paranoid this President has been.

That was fast. I think the site was launched less than 24 hours ago. That Attack Watch voiceover is still stuck in my head….lol.

LMAO!!! That video is hilarious! Did these these wicked smaht young advisors not learn their lesson with flag.gov?

Part of the problem is that neither they nor Obama can seem to wrap their heads around the fact that he is the president. Campaign strategies that are good, (or at least not harmful) for a fresh young challenger have an entirely different vibe when conducted by a sitting President of the United States.

He knows how to campaign as the new voice railing against the establishment. He has no idea how to run as a sitting president. (Hint: your actually record of accomplishment counts a LOT more than words, and snarkily throwing your weight around is seen as bullying and abuse of the office, not a cool “fuck you to da man” by an unknown.)

They are misreading everything so badly. They are like fish out of water. They are trying to run a sitting president as poor underdog from nowhere. It’s just laughable. You can’t run on how much you would do if you only had the power, when you occupy the most powerful office in the world and have sent the country down the crapper and golfed and partied a lot.

All laughter aside, it would have been unthinkable for any previous President after the McCarthy era to even think of doing this.
It might help the POTUS & his team to review the Bill of Rights.

Imagine if Bush had done this!

        • WMCB says:

There are a couple of comments about that on the twitter feed, from (presumed) liberals. Even Chris Hayes, the editor of The Nation admitted it:

If I’m honest w/ myself, I probably would have gone apesh*t (fairly or unfairly) if George W Bush had launched something like #attackwatch

        • WMCB says:

The problem is that, while candidates have launched “smear fighting” websites before, you have to be very careful about whether to do it, and the tone in which you do it, if you are a sitting president.

These idiots don’t understand that while there are advantages to campaigning as POTUS, there are things to avoid as well. It’s not the same thing as being a private citizen running. The dynamics and optics and response of the people is NOT the same.

LOL, I love America! Seriously, because only in America can you launch a website like that and be guaranteed a few hundred thousand people are going to mock the crap out of you.

Given the sentiment in this country right now, AttackWatch is probably going to crash from all the “attacks” people are going to “report.” I give it a week.

    Holy Dumbshit Batman!

President Barack Obama will present his “jobs plan” on Wednesday at a company which is shipping jobs overseas.

Obama is scheduled to present his “jobs plan” in Apex, N.C., on Wednesday at the headquarters of WestStar Precision.

WestStar is a high-end, specialty manufacturer that just opened a new facility in San Jose, Costa Rica — creating many new jobs there, but not in the United States.

The narcissist is losing it. He said this in a speech today:

“We need to build an economy that lasts,” he said. “If you love me, you gotta help me pass this bill.”

What is he, a freaking 14 year old girl? “You would if you loved me.” WTF???

  6. Just reading the tweet stream made my day. What a bunch of dumbasses- for a supposedly techno-savvy campaign. No thinking ahead- at all.
I reported the theft of 18 million votes and a nomination.
