Obama channels a black preacher

How come Obama only talks like this to black audiences?

“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” he said, his voice rising as applause and cheers mounted. “Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”

      holy shit!

      MAH gran-fatha?

Contrary to Obama’s claims, his mother was not yet a women when she was impregnated by Barack Obama senior. She was just a girl of 17 if you know what I mean. Stanley Ann was already pregnant by the time she turned 18 on November 29, 1960.

Obama’s father was not brought to the USA by the largesse of the Kennedy family. When Obama Sr. left for America in 1959, he left behind his baby son, Roy, and his young wife, Kezia, who was pregnant with their daughter, Auma.

By the time of the 1965 Selma marches, Obama senior had already been kicked out of Harvard, in part for his womanizing ways, was back in Kenya and married to his third wife, Ruth Baker, who was pregnant with Obama’s half brother Mark.

The reality of his parent’s relationship isn’t quite as compelling and romantic as he painted it. Talk about revisionist history! And the press and blogger boys tore Hillary a new one about her account of landing in Bosnia!

Back in the late 1960s at the tender age of 17 I chose to leave the suburban private school I attended and complete high school at an inner city public school where the majority of the students were minorities. I remember the pressure I felt to spread my legs to “prove” I wasn’t a racist bigot. Not being very street wise at the time, it was a struggle, figuratively and literally, to not be taken advantage of and still be friendly.

I can well imagine what it may have been like for 17 year old Stanley Ann to be the target of an older, experienced, lying, sexual predator like Barack Obama Sr., particularly in a college environment.

Didn’t the media jump on Hillary for days for using what they thought was a fake accent?

    Obama thinks he’s Jeebus

How can people not see through this self-serving charlatan? Seriously–he’s nauseating. Does he talk to his friends like that on Martha’s Vineyard? I’m guessing not.

  3. TA says:

Obama’s supporters also think he’s Jesus. He’s going to be in the Seattle area, to visit the rich folk. He’ll first do a stop in Medina (where Bill Gates lives) and then will speechify the rich folk via ridiculously priced tickets to the Paramount theater. No visit with the little people

I remember when DailyKOS were up in arms when Bush made almost the exact same stops. But when Obama does it? Chirp, chirp, chirp.

I am getting so sick of the ridiculous team sports our politics have become in this country.

      Obama’s base: The have’s and the have-mores.

Everything changes, and nothing changes, eh?

I’m so with you on that last comment of yours TA. Both the left and the right have co-opted and hollowed our beautiful democratic system, the system that replaced monarchies and Rome as the source of all western power and tyranny. Oh, they had help from the well-heeled and well-connected, but their refusal to pay attention is the biggest danger and what has contributed the most. It’s not funny, and it’s not a a sport; it’s politics, and they better start treating it right, or we will continue to lose what little power it deferred to The People.

I listen to some of y’all?

I never knew they used that expression in Indonesia, Hawaii, or Chicago. I was taught that it is very patronizing and insulting to imitate someone’s way of speaking.

unemployment needs to start in DC asap

Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marchin’ shoes, daddy let your mind roll on…catchy. Did Favreau write it?

  6. DeniseVB says:

SNL’s cold opening last night was the GOP debate, iOTW has the NBC tape I can’t figure out how to embed. So speaking of impersonators…….

  7. swanspirit says:

Because he thinks they are stupid , just like the white folks are

  8. Dario says:

Obama has been worse than W for the blacks. Obama has taken the blacks into a ditch and they need their marching shoes to get away from Obama as fast as they can.

  9. Lola-at-Large says:

Here is a wall post from one of my black friends on Facebook (and quite the Obama supporter):

“When you speak to me you say, “dat”; when you speak to them you say, “that”… I guess you think I can’t speak proper English !!!!!!!”

I am so tempted to go post that “mah ganfatha” video and ask if she’s going to ask Obama the same thing. Of course I won’t, but it is tempting.

  10. Monster from the Id says:

I wish he’d start channeling FDR. Truman or JFK or LBJ would do just fine as well.

  11. Ewww. OK, there’s that. I was thinking mainly that he’d be remembered largely for the easing of relations with the USSR and Red China if not for Watergate.

  12. gmanedit says:

Marching shoes, eh? Maybe they are with Obama’s—the ones he swore he would put on to march with labor.
