Joseph Cannon raises a good point:

Naming names: Dare we bring up the age-old question of nomenclature? I don’t like “Occupy Wall Street.” It’s unwieldy. Worse, it doesn’t offer up a sharp and zingy identifier for the occupiers. I mean, are the protesters supposed to say “I’m an Occupy Wall Streeter”? Or “I’m a Wall Street Occupier”? Or “I’m an Occupier of Wall Street”? Or…what?

Also, that phrase has kind of an unwelcome militaristic feel — as in, Occupied Iraq, Occupied France, that sort of thing. It gives off kind of a Bushy vibe.

Maybe we can segue into another name?

We have Teabaggers and Fleebaggers, Carpetbaggers and Firebaggers, so why not “Wallbaggers?”

Works for me.

I like the term ” scumbaggers ” . Seems only fair measure for measure for the even more odious “teabaggers” but wallbangers is good yes đŸ™‚

Here’s the head of Common Cause, the Soros funded group, reaching out to the Tea Party in HuffPoo. Never thought I’d see the day. I don’t buy anything being sold on HuffPoo as a matter of principle. Arianna staged Obamarama in the last general and dissed Hillary every chance they got. Too much water under that bridge.

    What about “Occupados?”

I actually think Occupy is a catchy name. It’s certainly caught on fast, everyone’s using it. People flirting online, talking about how they wish someone would come occupy their bedroom, the occupier and the occupied, this strange sexual subtext. Not sure what Occupy has to do with Wall Street and banking though. Think if we find the people who came up with “occupy” we’ll find a strong link to the original organizers. Van Jones and MoveOn coneheads I’m sure are closely involved. Has all the markings. Also for those who may not know the area, Zucotti Park is one block from Ground Zero. Wall Street is bit further away in the other direction, and most of the major bank HQs are in midtown, not downtown. Anyway, would be interesting to know who came up with that name. Maybe Joe knows, has he written about it..

Another possible clue or lead. By far the most visible and organized group on Day 1 of Occupy Zucotti => LaRouchie space cadets. Now how were they so well prepared.

Considering that they are generally squatting on private land, occupy is a pretty accurate term.
