Cain on Face the Nation

The Hill:

Herman Cain charged Sunday that groups sympathetic to President Obama were ginning up the Occupy Wall Street protests to take attention away from the administration’s policies.

Cain, the GOP presidential candidate and former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive, also continued to call the growing protests “anti-American” and said demonstrators were merely jealous of those more successful.

“We know that the unions and certain union-related organizations have been behind these protests that are going on on Wall Street and other parts around the country,” Cain said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“It’s coordinated to create a distraction so people won’t focus on the failed policies of this administration,” he added.

If it wasn’t planned that way it’s sure having that effect.

OT: I couldn’t get in here for a while (hanging) so it occurred to me to create a Backup open thread at votermom.blogspot.com votermom.wordpress.com

In the future if this blog has an outage, we could check over there for updates. Just an FYI.
Or tweet something with a #Crawdad hashtag.

Cain keeps telling it like it is.

The demonstrations must be directed at Washington. I just don’t see the point of OWS. The financial companies are not going to approach Washington and tell them to change the laws that protect their game. It ain’t gonna happen and OWS is just a waste of time and a diversion. I don’t agree that’s envy, but ignorance about how to use people power and against whom, therefore methinks those people are being used to create a diversion.

Of course this is diversion. “Wall street” isn’t even a real thing. It’s a concept, it’s an idea. Some people think it means the wealthy, others think it means corporations, some think it refers to Republicans. Nobody really knows WTH they’re protesting. Wall street is just the scapegoat, something to focus your anger on, so you won’t focus on DC.

Look at how exact the timing is. Solyndra is leaking more every day. Fast and Furious is heating up. This is all the kind of thing OWS would theoretically care about. If Fox really was the right wing noise machine they would ignore the protests and get right to the Obama scandals of greed and influence.
