At Occupy Ottawa they don’t want spectators recording their discussion of sexual assaults and calling the police.
The video is kinda long but the first 3-4 minutes tell the story.

I thought the Occupy movement was “open source”? /snark
the megaphone really gets everybody’s attention. Why the damn stick? batteries?
I remember the first week or so when the occupation stories would have anecdotes about men and women hooking up in tents, as a way to make it look like some 60s throwback. The reality is that there are a lot of opportunists. Some guys were getting young women drunk or trying to trade shelter for sex.
Sexual assaults, however, are the kind of thing that can’t be politically spun. It just looks bad for them. If you only care about your marketing and not the people, you try to sweep things under the rug. The police aren’t allowed to police it, but they get blamed every time a crime occurs or they try to enforce the law and take away potentially dangerous generators and gas cans sitting out in the open.

Ironically, the owsers who are doing this are acting like the Victorians.
I relayed a story my daughter told me a couple of weeks ago when she was home from college on another blog, but it was – of course – not well received. She has been near the “occupy” site a couple of times, and has a generally negative impression of what she saw and heard. One occasion, she agreed to go into town with a friend who needed to get art supplies at a certain store. They decided to take a shortcut through the occupied area so they wouldn’t miss the subway. There was a tent with a large sign that read TAVERN and a guy who was trying real hard to get them to come in and have a drink…just to clarify, this wasn’t Zucotti Park…but, I’m sure it’s a pretty good representation of what is going on at many of these sites.
Meanwhile, Michael Moore won’t practice what he preaches.
He suggests that all of the 1% donate just $1M of their multiple millions to the cause.
Then, someone asked him to donate $1M of his own $50M, and he sputters and scuttles (lumbers?) off like a coward while the reporter gets shoved in the stomach.
What a chickenshit.
He’ll make a movie about it all, and tuck away his multiple millions AGAIN.
Ugh
I think the problem for him and for folks like Warren Buffet is that they don’t actually agree with how the government spends money. But that isn’t the reform they are working for. That’s the big tell in their “activism.”
Breitbart calls for Bloomberg to shut down Zucotti Park ….
