that is all I can think of right now
The first time I watched it I recognized Marilyn, Natalie Wood, Rock Hudson and Jack Lemmon. I didn’t get any of the movies right.
I watched a ton of old movies growing up but apparently these were too racy for television.
richard burton, elizabeth taylor, sandy dennis, marilyn monroe, clarke gable, rock hudson, frank sinatra, dean martin, natalie wood, sophia loren, william holden
Marilyn Monroe, Eli Wallach, Clark Cable, Thelma Ritter, Jayne Mansfield, Kim Novak, William Holden, Sophia Loren,
Anita Eckberg (sp.?)
Ann Margaret, Natalie Wood, Liz Taylor, George Segal, Gina Lollabrigida, Mamie van Doren (?) Jack Lemmon, Jill St. John….
Not sure I named them all.
Makes me want to re-watch some of them–Picnic for instance. Remember how popular Wm. Inge, the playwright, once was? Besides “Picnic”, he also wrote “Come Back, Little Sheba.” He’s probably no longer as well known as Tennessee Wiliams.
Speaking of movies, here’s a great clip from TMC made in 1996:
100 years of the movies condensed into about 3 minutes.
I recognize most of those names but I don’t remember them being young.
They were already old when I was a kid.
Wow, that hurt.
Another cool movie montage. 75 years of MGM:
Didja know that scene with Dustin Hoffman and the cab was real? Some cabbie tried to cut through while they were filming.
So THAT’S what my cousins are referring to when they put “Red Solo Cup” as their status before they go out on Friday nights. Ha!
I’m really surprised that no one has mentioned Bob today.
Bob? There are so many bobs. One Bob had an article about one economist possibly talking about another one behind his back. Maybe Wagner as he’s in the news today. Give us another hint.
Coldblooded new bouncer
What’s up with reopening the Natalie Woods case? I don’t get it.
“Authorities spurred a media storm by revisiting actress Natalie Wood’s death, but their purpose is unclear.”

It’s like a media blitz with no substance. Are they fishing for new evidence?
look at the great movies you missed
1950s movie musicals
I think I got all/most of the names but I didn’t remember the Mamie van Doren or Jayne Mansfield movies.
Ann Margaret is still hotter than a firecracker in the looks department. If you want to age gracefully, they say dancing is the way to go. Me, I have about as much rhythm as a rotten pumpkin.
btw, pretty clever the way it had both Wagner wives of Jill St John and Natalie Wood. Is that why you chose this clip today?
If I’m not mistaken, Wagner was also married to someone else, maybe named Marian. Also, weren’t he and Natalie married twice? They married, divorced, she married some guy named Gregson, and remarried RJ. For some reason, everytime they showed her with Gregson, she always had on a fur coat.
