Obama’s Job Approval Drops Below Carter’s

President Obama’s slow ride down Gallup’s daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history.

Since March, Obama’s job approval rating has hovered above Carter’s, considered among the 20th century’s worst presidents, but today Obama’s punctured Carter’s dismal job approval line. On their comparison chart, Gallup put Obama’s job approval rating at 43 percent compared to Carter’s 51 percent.

Guess what? Obama’s approval rating bottomed out just about the time Zuccotti Park got “occupied” and it’s stayed level or risen since then.

Just a coinkydink, I’m sure.

Imagine if OWS had spent two months camped out in front of the White House reminding people that Obama was the number one recipient of Wall Street money?

Instead of distracting attention away from him they should have focused it on him. Maybe they could have convinced him to drop out of running for reelection.

    But they aren’t into politics, they’re into . . . uh . . . something else.

Best distraction money can buy. What suckers. Well, those that weren’t in on the gag at any rate.

      From JWS’ place:

Only things that are over can be said to have failed. The literal occupations of the American Fall 2011 may be over. There may be no outdoor occupations in the winter. There will be direct actions. There will be general assemblies. I think there will even be literal occupations. So don’t say they failed until the last breath is out of them.

And everybody thought The Stork was brain damaged.

Voters get impressed easily when presidents schmooze with other heads of states. Obama went abroad and that’s why his numbers improved slightly. Foreign policy is the area where Hillary helps Obama. He reaps all her work and never ever gives her credit. Those numbers will fall when the voters remember that Obama is an empty suit. Back in the WH, Obama will get back to the golf course or give his campaign speeches while the country slides into another recession. His approval should fall into the mid 30s.

I don’t think Newt is going away, and Newt would beat Obama, and Hillary would beat Newt. But who knows. Repubs have something like 15 more debates scheduled thru March. In the UK, campaigning for PM takes just two months.

OWS and its remnants is a campaign to distract and gin up anger, resentment, and give Obama a philosophical platform to run again. The fact that he and other Democrats so readily approved of it when everyone else was trying to figure out what the hell they were doing is a clear indicator that the entire thing was his creature. He cannot run on his record so the outrage machine had to bait and switch to something else. It did concentrate anger and resentment but at Obama. As most people see a lean and mean Christmas the anger will concentrate even more as Obama has lavish fundraisers, Christmas parties, and jets off for another vacation. He has not hit bottom yet in the polls.

    How is his Presidency historic?
    Let me count the ways.

backtrack would screw up a one car funeral.
to have 3 fundraisers in NY at the same time as the tree lighting is just plain rude.
You have to see the crowds that come for the tree lighting. It is a tradition.
As WALTER would say ” dumbass”
