I love Bill Clinton (in a totally heterosexual way)

Former President Bill Clinton, a stalwart backer of President Barack Obama who’s already helped the incumbent Democrat raise funds for his re-election bid, said Thursday that Mitt Romney had a “sterling business career” as chief executive of Bain Capital.

“I don’t think that we ought to get into the position where we say ‘This is bad work. This is good work,'” Clinton said of the private equity industry. Democrats have been hammering Romney for his role at Bain Capital for weeks, painting the GOP presidential candidate as a corporate raider. In justifying their attacks, Democrats point out Romney uses his Bain record as evidence of creating jobs.

On Thursday, Clinton said Romney’s record at Bain was less important than his ideas for the country.

“I think the real issue ought to be, what has Governor Romney advocated in the campaign that he will do as president?” Clinton said. “What has President Obama done and what does he propose to do? How do these things stack up against each other?”

Clinton said there was no question Romney was capable of performing the “essential functions of the office.”

“The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold,” Clinton said.

Unlike some fellow Democrats, Clinton acknowledged Romney’s time at Bain Capital formed a “good business career.” He also acknowledged that the nature of private equity meant some companies inevitably fail.

“There is a lot of controversy about that,” Clinton told guest host Harvey Weinstein, who has raised millions of dollars for Obama’s campaign. “But if you go in and you try to save a failing company, and you and I have friends here who invest in companies, you can invest in a company, run up the debt, loot it, sell all the assets, and force all the people to lose their retirement and fire them.”

The former president continued, “Or you can go into a company, have cutbacks, try to make it more productive with the purpose of saving it. And when you try, like anything else you try, you don’t always succeed.”

That sound you hear is Obot heads exploding. I knew Obama would come to regret playing the race card on the Big Dawg.

I hope Bill campaigns like this for Obama every single day until election day.

He he he.

Remember when Schumer et al were into using 2×4’s on Hillary??

Yeah well, that there was a telephone pole.

LOVE IT. This just gets better each day.

  2. WMCB says:

I love it when Bill concern trolls Obama, and is a moby. LMAO!

Meanwhile, Romney is out quick with an ad from his Solyndra visit yesterday, hammering Obama on jobs, economic ignorance, and…….

crony capitalism. Has he been talking to Sarah?

    • votermom says:

It’s remarkable how Sarah has managed to shape this election, without a title and without running.

As teens we used to tear down that frontage road when 880 was a parking lot. Now when visiting the area, I avoid that route due to that building, the open space it consumed, and the fraud it represents. It’s a monument to waste and visiting Obots while mad at their leader is just being a bad guest….lol

Anyway, around the net Obots are claiming that Solyndra is exactly what the government should be investing in, failure is to be expected, ‘it’s all lies’, and various other justifications which miss the mark.

Sorry, but only an idiot would ignore the taxpayer protections that were circumvented in order to benefit the investors allowed such a building to be designed and built. If those protections weren’t changed you can bet none of those robots would be whistling Disney tunes at the ‘Taj Mahal’ of factories. I

that right there is truly the smartest president ever!!!!!

  4. WMCB says:

Bill just completely undercut two of Obama’s avenues of attack. The “vulture capitalist” attack (which had already bombed), and the newest attack, that Mitt does not have the proper background, experience, and qualifications to be president.

Bill is hilarious. He stands there helping to bail to boat like a team player, except he keeps “innocently” scooping the water back IN, not out.

    “Whhaaat? I’m helping.

ROFL! And Axelrod has got to know what’s going on, he’s not entirely stupid, but there’s not a damned thing he can do about it.

Sort of like Barry brushing Hill off his shoulder & flipping her the finger. We knew exactly what he was doing, (and he knew we knew) but we couldn’t even point it out without being labeled paranoid. Obviously, Bill knew too. 🙂

This is how I tweeted this post

  5. WMCB says:

Evidently one of the panels at Netroots this year is talking about how monogamy is bad.

Translation: A bunch of wanker hipster dudes want society restructured so they get more no-strings pussy, but need to couch it in academia-ese so the dumb broads will nod and buy it.

      I’m pretending to be shocked.

    • That’s the secondary purpose, WCMB. They’re always trying to do that. The primary purpose is to provoke and increase the hostility young leftists already feel toward marriage, which has a demonstrable conservatizing effect on people, especially women. Expect this to get worse as they pit unmarried women against married women this year. It’s insidious and the evidence is popping up everywhere. Take this tweet from Shelby Knox, one of the premier twenty-something leftist “feminists”:

      • WMCB says:

This shit just pisses me off. “Their own self-interest” AS DEFINED BY WHO? As defined by themselves, or by snotty young single progressives who know best?

I can define my OWN self-interests, thanks. And people like Ms. Knox caan fuck right off.

    • angienc says:

Bet they get apoplectic on the subject of Mormonism & polygamy though. 😉

  6. DandyTiger says:

    Bill is still the man.

  8. WMCB says:

LMAO! Bill sticks the knife in again. Ya know those howls of outrage about how Mitt HAS to distance himself from Trump? Bill was asked about it:

Donald Trump has always been uncommonly nice to Hillary and me….. I like him.

BREAKING: Recovery Summer Part III Off To A Rocky Start. Unemployment Inches Up, Job Creation Unexpectedly Lower Than Expected

8.2 unemployment rate (wink, wink) only 69.000 jobs created in May.

Analysts were “expecting” a job creation number of around 150,000 (which would have been pathetic itself). Missed it by thaaaaaaaaaatttttttttt much.

    Expect more to come shortly.

April’s job number was revised down to 77,000. Unexpectedly.

    More “unexpected” revisions:

BLS: employment for March was revised from +154,000 to +143,000, and the change for April was revised from +115,000 to +77,000.

Labor force participation was up by 642,000.

    Construction jobs down 28,000.

DogEater warns his donors that he might need a healthcare do-over in a 2nd term. I guess the leaks from SCOTUS are not encouraging.

    • myiq2xu says:

      I want a do-over on 2008

      • Amen to that. That said, THIS is his strategy? Really? People who SUPPORT Obamacare already think he flubbed that one up big time. Not sure this is a good selling point for him, unless we’re talking Big Pharma and the insurance industry…

        • FembotsForObama says:

It’s that hint that Obama really wants universal single-payer healthcare, and if we reelect him we’ll really get it this time. Note to progs: ain’t gonna happen.

    • angienc says:

Who, over 10 years old & outside of a friendly golf game, can seriously ask for much less expect, a “do-over?”

I don’t know about y’all, but at my job I’m expected to get it right the first time.

      • votermom says:

I’m tempted to try to caption that photo.

        “angel of death” ?

“One day my kill list will have as many names as this monument”?

    • FembotsForObama says:

That photo is nauseating. How dare he put his impression on the Vietnam War Memorial? Best comment:

It really is. I’m still trying to figure out how such a small and feckless man came to be able to cast such a long shadow.

Zimmerman’s bail was revoked. Apparently for not disclosing that paypal acct and not turning in his passport?
Myiq – would that necessarily have an impact in his trial?

    • angienc says:

In the sense that even in the face of all this exculpatory evidence for Zimmerman that the prosecution failed to include in the affidavit has come out that the prosecution actually moved to revoke bail shows, beyond any reasonable doubt, that they are determined to railroad Zimmerman on a 2nd degree murder charge?

      • WMCB says:

I think they know they are losing, and want to twist his arm to plea bargain. They figure some time in jail might convince him.

If I were him, I’d never plea. Because if he goes to prison, even for a shorter term, he’s a dead man. May as well go for an innocent verdict.

      • myiq2xu says:

He may end up acquitted of murder and go to prison for perjury.
