Occupiers wanted – $20 hour

The Army Will Pay You to Riot

How does the US Army know if its less-than-lethal armaments are effective without being deadly? Live fire training exercises employing a mob of volunteers, of course.

That’s right, if you are over 18 and live in the greater New Jersey area, you too can get $20/hour to be whacked with batons and shot with rubber balls! The testing takes place in a non-descript one-story building, known as the Target Behavioral Response Laboratory, located a few miles from Picatinny Arsenal, the Army’s research and development center. Here, a nine-member team of engineers study how effective non-lethal technologies perform and, more importantly, the psychological reasons they do.

This really sounds like the perfect fit for all those unemployed Occupiers. Do you know anyone in the Greater New Jersey area that is looking for work?

Sounds like a good fit for OWS since they aren’t doing much. Although it might not be attractive if it looks too much like actual work I do hope the army is warned that one broken ipod and the experiment is over.

  2. elliesmom says:

As a matter of fact, I do know of someone who lives in New Jersey, is unemployed, and has done some hanging out at Zucotti Park.

  3. DeniseVB says:

I think it was Hannity that seriously offered one of the OWS leaders an entry level job at Fox News, but the kid made such outrageous demands like 80k starting salary, no responsibilities and all the free perks, summers off, begin workday at noon … silly stuff, but he really didn’t want to work.

  4. yttik says:

ROFL! That’s hilarious. Yes, a perfect job for some of those Occupiers, especially the ones in Seattle who thought it would be cool to smash car windows, working people’s car windows.

Does anyone know what happened to the rocket scientists that encased there airms in cement during one of the Occupy events. I think it was in Washington state but I could have that part wrong. There were so many examples of superior intellegence at those events I could have gotten the location confused.

Btw, I won’t be around starting tomorrow for a week. We are taking our first family vacation in 3 yrs.

How long ago did we all say his speeches sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher? Funny new ad taunting him:

  9. DandyTiger says:

Wow, did I just hear DHS secretary right. Full amnesty for illegal immigrants? Maybe I’m not awake yet.

  10. DandyTiger says:

I sense a major backfire in this unilateral executive action implementing part of the dream act. A desperate move for the latino vote will just piss more people off. We’ll see. Sounds questionably legally.

  13. WMCB says:

I am so freaking sick of presidents ruling by fiat. Process matters. I’m all in favor of some version of the dream act, but ya know what? There’s this thing called Congress. It’s in the constitution. look it up.

    • DandyTiger says:

Agree. I may actually be OK with the ideas here, and what Rubio has been pushing for, but this just pisses me off.

      • Erica says:

Me too. It’s like he thinks he’s the king or something. I hope he remembers that throughout history, being a king was a dangerous, often fatal position. And that’s part of the reason we have a congress.

    • Process does matter, but these current Dem leaders don’t give a sh@t about process. We learned this on 05/31/08 and the pattern just continues.

    it is just words

  17. WMCB says:

Wow. Mitch McConnel just gave one of the most blistering speeches defending free speech that I’ve ever heard. He touched on the swatting issue, Obama admin going after dissenters w IRS, digging up divorce files on R contributors, the thuggery and chilling.

It was balls to the wall over free speech. What planet am I on? I mean, little mealy-mouthed Mitch? Firebrand?

    • Lola-at-Large says:

I lived in KY for 20 years before moving to Indiana and know the McConnell style very well. Free speech is his signature issue. He uses it for every little thing, including campaign finance reform. I remember his fiery speeches in Washington over it during the McCain-Feingold campaign financing reform bill debates. I’ll have to check it out later.

  18. angienc says:

i *knew* I heard that boring Obama speech before yesterday — now, he’s copying himself. It’s deja vu all over again:

  19. OldCoastie says:

I agree with amnesty for kids who came here with their parents. We’ve educated these kids, invested in them, now good citizens for our country.

But why oh why didn’t BO negotiate this with and get the Dream Act passed. Now he’s left 800,000 people in absolute limbo pending the next election.

Oh wait. Now I get it. It’s the Chicago Way. Kinda like states rights for marriage for gay people. All dependent on benevolence from the king.

  21. HELENK says:

Man with temporary press credential shouts question at Pres Obama about the new policy. Pres tells him not to interrupt.

    • HELENK says:

First time I have ever seen a President interrupted during a statement in the Rose Garden

    • HELENK says:

      lter tweeted:
Tucker Carlson confirms to me that @NeilMunroDC of his Web site The Daily Caller was the reporter who interrupted President Obama’s remarks.

      • cj says:

I posted that in the wrong thread lol. I don’t think reporters should heckle & interrupt, (or throw shoes) but I also don’t think that excused the Once from taking any questions.

      • WMCB says:

The reporter has now said that he thought the president was wrapping up when he jumped in with question.

I was listening on the radio, and thought the same. It wasn’t until Obama got pissy and said he wasn’t done that I realized he wasn’t.

        • angienc says:

And you’re going to believe that raaaaaaaaaacist?

I just learned the guy is Irish by birth & grew up there until he immigrated here — if he’s anything like the Irish side of my family, he can handle whatever the MSM throws his way & won’t give a shit what anyone says about him. Then he’ll go out for a pint (or two) to celebrate what wusses they all are.

        • HELENK says:

if he is anything like my Irish family, he is yelling ” UP the Rebels” while having a pint or two or three

        • angienc says:

helen — ha, ha! Just make sure to clear out before they start singing “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” ’cause it’s downhill from there! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • WMCB says:

At least one NYT reporter gets it:

    • angienc says:

FTR, Munro should have waited until Obama was finished (mistake or not, even Sam Donaldson who was about the rudest, most aggressive reporter ever never interrupted *during* remarks). However, the “outrage” by the MSM about it is ridiculous. Where is their outrage over Obama hand picking people to kill with drones (including innocent bystanders)? Over drones in the USA? Over Gitmo? Over Obama making habeas corpus disappear? Over selling out health care to Big Pharma? Over national security leaks? Over Fast & Furious? Over Holder’s cover up?

Munro committed a rude faux pas, but the MSM can kiss my ass.

      • WMCB says:

Angie, he says he thought Obama was wrapping up speaking, was trying to jump in early w his question.

        • angienc says:

Yes, thank you — I got that which only makes the MSM outrage over it (while silent on what Obama was actually announcing — circumvention of Congress’s job to *enact* laws) even *more* ridiculous.

Nonetheless, intention and result are two different things — not meaning to interrupt doesn’t mean he *didn’t* interrupt. It may have been an accident, but it was still a faux pas. (And I use the word faux pas on purpose — this interruption — accidental or not — is NOT the equivalent of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, as the MSM is trying to make it out to be).

  22. angienc says:

  26. HELENK says:

I was reading this week that the unemployment for young people this summer will be 7 out 10 without a job. Among the black population it might be higher. If they do not get that this snake will bite them when he can, I do not know how he can make it any clearer.
