I’m waiting for the musical that’s sure to be made from this trip.

Bwahahahahaha — Choom Dude is all upset about the Powerline article:

Not only was the article so far in right field, but the author of the article, John Hinderaker, who is a lawyer, came to some of the most absurd conclusions. Not only was the article libelous, but you would think that a lawyer would be more familiar with intellectual property law. However, since he apparently is not, let me say now, all content in this blog, including but not limited to blog text and photos, are the intellectual property of myself, and may not be used or reproduced without my expressed permission.

Although I’m no expert on intellectual property law, I *do* know that unless these musings are providing you with an economic benefit (you know that dirty money you hate so much? yeah, that) they don’t meet the bar of “intellectual property.” And even if they do, you can’t just declare something as your intellectual property & think that affords you protection. That’s what copyrights, trademarks & patents are for. See, laws do serve *some* purpose. Finally, I thought you were all about open source/sharing/no property rights. Funny how that all doesn’t apply to *your* property.

I’m not even going to get into how any pictures on your blog of other people and/or places can’t possibly by your “intellectual property.”

Finally, good luck proving libel — using your own words to mock you doesn’t equal libel, jackass.

But I’m glad you’re back. I needed the laugh.

  2. Weekend plans? Mowing, more mowing, weeding, more mowing. Maybe take a red raspberry walk (wild ones are ripening now- never enough to make jam or pie- but enough to walk along an pop a few right in. The birds and deer get most of them) They are small berries- but the taste is sooooo good! We have a wild strawberry that grows in our fields as well- teeny tiny little things- but once you have one of the wild berries- store bought is a never again prospect.

I’m going to a birthday BBQ tomorrow. My son’s birthday is the 26th, my DIL’s was yesterday.

    • HELENK says:

instead of birthday presents aren’t you donating to backtrack in their names?????

      PS
      how is your foot?????

  5. Sandusky jury has reached a verdict- waiting for all the players to arrive at the court. Does not seem they deliberated very long?

    • Lola-at-Large says:

Was just coming to report. 10:00 on a Friday night. WOW. Deliberated less than 21 hours. My bet: GUILTY!

    • myiq2xu says:

A quick verdict means the evidence was very strong or very weak. I’ve seen it go both ways.

      • Lola-at-Large says:

Yeah, but in this case, it’s the sheer volume of victims. 10 boy & men cannot be colluding with dozens of justice officials. It just defies logic. I’ll eat my own shoe TONIGHT if the verdict is not guilty.

  6. Lola-at-Large says:

45 guilty, 3 not guilty. 20-someodd felonies. 244 years, FUCK YES! Justice is SERVED!

  7. DandyTiger says:

Road trip with some buds. Will be up to no good and will be drinking. Other than that, I pre-deny anything that will may have happened.
