    Mike’s my hero.

I want to be just like him when I grow up.

    Skyler’s gonna be pissed.

  3. That scene was followed by a lying Obama ad. He’s suggesting Romney doesn’t pay as much taxes as e and wants to raise my taxes. Well Obama already raised my taxes because I don’t have insurance. Fucker.

    • DM says:

Why should Obama complain about Romney’s taxes when he’s not worked with congress to change the tax code? It was Obama and the Democratic congress that extended the Bush tax cuts.

Obama talks as if he’s not responsible for Romney’s tax rates.

  4. Okay, so now what? Crap! Well, we know it’s not the end, because the flash forward that opened the show. But still. Good ending.

  5. DM says:

Maybe Plouffe will be the new interesting shiny object of the media. Nah, it will be Romney’s imagined gaffs.

David Plouffe, a senior White House adviser who was President Obama’s 2008 campaign manager, accepted a $100,000 speaking fee in 2010 from an affiliate of a company doing business with Iran’s government.

    • DM says:

And of course, G.W.B. did too, is the WH excuse

White House officials said it is not unusual for Washington figures to receive similar fees for speeches. They note that senior officials in the George W. Bush administration had been paid for speeches by companies doing business in Iran.

You’re so lucky Helen if you’re watching the landing from the west coast. I’m sitting here waiting as its 5 minutes to entry but its also 1:15am and I gotta go to work tomorrow. I feel lucky to be witnessing NASA at its best. Their online coverage is excellent. I hope I can stay awake for the first pictures taking place 13 minutes after touchdown.

Congrats to NASA and JPL!! Unfortunately the NASA directory and WH science advisor took the opportunity to campaign a little for Obama. You know, they guy who’s been gutting NASA since he got in office.

I could tell the science advisor was sweating it the whole time. I guess because if it failed, it could be blamed on all the cuts in the program.

But I’m not going to let that detract from an amazing accomplishment. Now the science begins!

  8. Glennmcgahee says:

This has been a five year effort. Obama would have cancelled it had the money not already been appropriated and mostly spent when he came in. We’ll be getting science for years to come from what the NASA team has explained is the most interesting spot on Mars. Watching the celebration of the men and women at the Jet Propulsion Center in California after touchdown was incredibly inspiring.
