I guess too much cheese makes you crazy:

Woman spits in face of Women for Mitt supporter at Appleton event

APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A small women’s rally for Republican White House candidate Mitt Romney was interrupted this afternoon when a protestor spit in a supporter’s face.

It happened west of Appleton at the Hanson Benefits firm.

A video posted by Fox 11 shows state Senate Finance Co-Chair Alberta Darling speaking, when a protestor interrupted her and asked why she’s against Planned Parenthood.

A Romney supporter then started arguing with the woman, and protestor spit in her face.

She was identified as 83-year-old Mary Hoglund. She and another Romney protestor, Kathy Lefebvre of Green Bay, were escorted out of the meeting.

I don’t care what side you’re on, this kinda stuff don’t help your cause.

the mantle of leadership has shifted Romney – Ryan govern in all but name only

This election is much different than I have ever seen.
the white house has continued campaigning even after 2008. There is no pretense that they give a damn about what the people of the country want just full speed ahead with their own agenda.
For the first time in my life the military is saying that the commander in chief and his advisers are a threat to the country.
It is a very scary time. Will the country get through it YES but at what cost?

The CS Monitor has a commentary that reviews a Romney ad and helps the reader figure out if an ad is racist by asking five questions. Charlton McIlwain, the writer, concludes that the ad is racist as he answers each question. Number one was interesting because the ad attacks Obama of not telling the truth, and that is a racist stereotype about Blacks. But 4 and 5 were a gem. Since Romney is surrounded by white people, obviously the whites are the “us” and the the “them” must be the absent blacks, and then the ad ran in OH, where the majority are white.

    Is a pro-Romney ad racist?
    Five questions to ask yourself

In the presidential election, it’s not a matter of whether racism will appear in campaign messaging, but when. President Obama is running for reelection with the support of the majority of black and Latino voters. Mitt Romney is challenging Mr. Obama with an almost exclusively white constituency behind him. Both candidates will raise and spend unprecedented amounts of money on political advertisements, as will their respective parties and allied super PACs.
A crucial question is: How will we know when pro-Romney ads are potentially racist? It’s not always so easy to recognize.
    1. Does the ad reference racial stereotypes?
    2. Does the ad show a Obama’s image alongside a racial stereotype?
    3. Are all the people surrounding a Romney white?
    4. Does the ad create an ‘us’ vs. ‘them’ racial contrast?
    5. Is the audience where the ad runs mostly white?

    more at link.

    • leslie says:

The racist in this ad is the person who is the reviewer, Charlton McIlwain. I don’t think the same way Mr McIlwain does. I don’t think Blacks lie any more than anyone else. I don’t think that because people in the ad are from only one racial demographic. I find that when I see more white “folks” surrounding TehOnce than black “folks”, I think that is racially motivated.
But then, I find obama hideously self-serving and because of my own personal knowledge of him (shared here in the past), it wouldn’t make a difference if he came to my doorway to personally beg for my vote.

I had no idea that CSMonitor was on TehOne’s payroll too.

OT – out there in the blogosphere things seem to be getting weird…. Big Pink is exploding and I’ve been avoiding the ImztheOnlyOneThasRight show by Zal at Johns place.

This is the only sane place left these days. ( Thank Goddess)

    • indigogrrl1 says:

This is also the only place that doesnt have a longwinded woe is the world let me take over this blog because I wouldnt have an audience at my own blog kinda troll.

Perhaps trolls are scared if homicidal klowns.

    • leslie says:

What’s going on at Big Pink?

And I don’t mind Zal. Sometimes he offers really good things to think about. Sometimes not and those are the comments I skip.

      • cj says:

The admin over at Big Pink has been pretty harsh about Romney’s strategy lately which is pissing off a lot of commenters. I don’t go over there a lot, because like myiq, it screws up my browser.

I don’t mind Zal either. He plays the contrarian a bit too much, (I skip over those comments too, lol) but otherwise, he’s worth the read IMO.

        • leslie says:

thanks. Yes, I noticed in the past that I had problems at BigPink, too. But I thought it was my computer because it was giving me trouble anyway. So I stopped, but then, I stopped going many places.

Glad to hear it wasn’t just my computer.

        • WMCB says:

I like big pink, but the posts aren’t updated very often, and once it gets over 100 comments or so, I’m fucked. Hangs up when I try to scroll.

Only the Obamacrats and the compliant democratic machinery could instill such hate in a 83 year old woman to behave the way she did. If our senior citizens can’t see right through the hate rhetoric, we’re in trouble, folks. Like Biden would say – Its a big spittin deal.
