Clint Eastwood – Comedy Gold

Okay, I admit it. I didn’t get it at first.

I was expecting a boring celebrity endorsement speech. But when Clint first started talking I began to wonder if his cheese had slid off his cracker.

Then he looked at the empty chair and said “What do you mean, ‘Shut up?'”

That’s when I got it.

But the funniest part was afterwards, when the Obama supporters started freaking out.

Pwned!

UPDATE:

Our esteemed Preezy (who claims he is too busy working to watch this kind of stuff) has sent a rebuttal:

“This seat is taken”

To which I reply:

It doesn’t have your name on it.

Hey Barack, you don’t own that chair! We the People do.

And when you leave the WH with your tail tucked between your legs, we’ll fumigate it with the rest of the House to try and forget you and your ugly presence was ever there.

    Now start packing!

Most here will disagree, but I still don’t believe there would be that much daylight between the two candidates in actual policy governance. If a slick American Idol is what you want though, Obama is always going to be your man. The thing I’m looking for this election above all is sincerity, and I’m still keeping score. Awkwardness is the least of my concerns.

Here’s the difference for me. Whatever is driving Mitt, it isn’t greed. He’s a rich man who doesn’t need or want to get any richer and I’m pretty sure we won’t have to worry about him pushing bloated fed programs just so he can siphon off the swag for himself and his buddies.

If anything, he seems to be a regular Mr. Anti-corruption, which is probably why the thug from Chicago hates & fears him so much.

  5. and they act like they’re not watching…..

Clint is all they’re talking about on MSNBC this morning

    Best Clint line:

  14. Karma says:

Finally got to see Clint in full. LOL! That’s going to stick with Obama for a long time…perfect.

And I don’t see how a regular speech could have done as much damage.

Bob Newhart got the joke too.

  15. mcnorman says:

There should have been a golf club laying on the chair.

Obama’s empty chair (courtesy Clint at the RNC) gets its own Twitter account:

Is Obama’s occupied chair as articulate as TOTIS?
