Call the Wahhhmbulance!

Last night was a goldmine of stuff to talk about.

Ed Morrissey:

Conventions produce a lot of oddball claims and weird arguments, but last night’s speech by Deval Patrick had one of the strangest I’ve yet heard made. In fact, I had to double-check the transcript and the video this morning to be sure I’d heard it correctly. According to the current elected governor of Massachusetts, contesting Barack Obama’s record and opposing his bid for a second term amounts to bullying:

The list of accomplishments is long, impressive and barely told—even more so when you consider that congressional Republicans have made obstruction itself the centerpiece of their governing strategy. With a record and a vision like that, I will not stand by and let him be bullied out of office—and neither should you[.]

I don’t want to see Obama bullied out of office either. I want to see him VOTED out.

BTW – If Obama’s list of accomplishments is long and impressive, why aren’t the Democrats talking about it?

those damn American people , when are they going to learn we own them and they are lucky to have us.
now if we could get them to shut up and sit down and stay home every thing would be fine

Firing a country music legend (who is the son of a bigger one) for bad-mouthing the preezy was probably not a good idea.

  3. fif says:

Yea, his accomplishments are “barely told” because the press dislikes him so much. Hell, they created an entire candidacy and presidency out of his utter LACK of accomplishment! What planet are these people on? And any time anyone opposes Obama, they are indignant! It’s called governing and leadership–there will always be disagreement. If you can’t handle it unless someone is licking your boots, get the *%# out. Hillary never whines, she just works hard.

Ann Romney: Mitt’s ‘a can-do kind of guy’

Ann Romney, speaking to a rally for women in Ohio on Wednesday, called her husband “a can-do kind of guy.”

“He sees a problem, he goes out and fixes it,” she told the audience at a “Women for Mitt” rally held at the Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. “In America right now what do we need? Someone who knows how to fix things.”

The Romney campaign has dispatched the prospective first lady to appeal to female voters on the campaign trail, and she spoke directly to women in the critical battleground state on Wednesday, saying that they are struggling in the economy right now “more than the men are.”

  5. Dems have truly jumped the shark in their rationalizations. I’m wondering how we’ll be able to go back to the party if/when it changes. Will it be possible for you to do so?

There is this weird false equivalency argument going around fb that chris rock said. Has anyone else been annoyed by this crazy ass argument he is making.

Something about if you don’t vote for ob because you don’t think he is getting the job done, then thats like voting for cancer? I probably misquoted, but you get the gist. Its weird, doesn’t make any sense.

The argument should be in a more logical sense that if you vote against ob because he is not getting the job done , then that is like either trying a new treatment in hopes that it works to cure the cancer or it is like picking another doctor because your doctor is giving you no hope and not helping you fight the cancer at all and they may be out of their league.

so its more realistically like getting a second opnion when the first doctor hasn’t helped at all.

Why the hell would you stay with the same doctor if you are getting no where and why then hell would you not try a new course of treatment if the first course isn’t working at all. If you want to live you will do anything new if the old way isn’t working.

Basically, we as voterrs are trying anyway we can to get the economy going again if we vote against ob because he isn’t getting the job done.

I don’t know how chris rock thinks the only cure for cancer is the insanity of keeping trying the same thing over and over again and that ob is the only cure for cancer. I mean what a weird ass argument.

And it frickin bugs me that people are buying it and think it makes any damned sense at all.

Obviously comparing Obama’s promises with Obama’s actual record is bullying.

Gah! What are you — a r@cist or something? /s

  9. DandyTiger says:

I’m so cracking up over the Dems pulling out of Bank of America Stadium (aka New Black Panther Stadium). And their pathetic lies over why. Can’t make this shit up.

    • angienc says:

Me too — I especially like how the “go to source” for the MSM is Stephanie Cutter to *verify* that the change was due to the 20% chance of rain & not the 80% chance of an empty stadium, as if she hasn’t been caught lying on just about everything she’s ever said for the last few months — from Romney being a “felon” to not knowing about Soptic’s wife’s death (on tape even!) and to the amount of jobs created in the Obama v. Reagan recoveries.

  10. kanaughty says:

Deval and et al are making some weird arguments and theories in order to distract from obs record. Now you are a bully not only a racist and you want cancer to win if you vote against ob. If they had a clue and would have nominated almost any other real democrat then maybe they would have my vote. They don’t get that the problems voters have is that it is no accomplishments, no leadership, arrogant ob running again and that is why he and they will lose votes.

  11. DandyTiger says:

Holy crap, that Akin nutcase in Missouri is now back to tied with Obama’s dick holder, McCaskil. Now that’s saying something. As bad as he is, and he’s stunningly bad, even he’s going to beat Clair. Still remembering the Dems who gave money and were rooting for Akin to win, be careful of what you wish for.

  12. Lulu says:

I get the feeling that the Obots think he should not have to run for re-election at all. He should just be “gifted” with it because he is so gosh darned wonderful, and makes everyone (them anyway) feel good. The election is just a massive distraction from their feelings and the country owes it to him (and them) and why do we have to go to all of this trouble. And lets do away with the electoral college it is just stupid, and elections are too. Just give it to him. It is a weird form of affirmative action gone nuts. And why should he be asked to prove something, it is like racist. And shut up.

  13. DandyTiger says:

I was wondering how the Obama campaign would deal with Romney’s taxes. Esp. since via the IRS, they have them. So it turns out they’re leaking them to a “hacker group” who will make them public, pretending they did some clever hacks to get them. Yawn. Expect a big distraction for a while.

    • Lulu says:

There should be a major lawsuit in there for Romney. Hacking is no excuse for violation of the Privacy Act. It is a major felony with 10 year sentence and a $100,000 fine for whom ever pulled these records up for the Obama campaign. There will be electronic fingerprints all over the place and they need to understand they are headed for prison to get them to sing like birdies.

    • angienc says:

Hmm, Price Waterhouse claims there is no evidence their system has been compromised & are investigating with the Secret Service. Could be a bunch of bullshit from this “hacker” group.

      http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2409319,00.asp

      • Lulu says:

My guess would be IRS not the accountants. They have already accessed his federal returns which is illegal.

        • angienc says:

No, that’s not fully what I meant — if Price Waterhouse establishes their system wasn’t hacked, this group can’t “publish” them because they don’t “have” them — i.e., the “story” is they got them from the PW system — with that piece out, the entire story falls apart (regardless of whether this group actually has the returns from another source).

Also, FTR, I don’t believe the returns (if this group has them) came directly from the IRS — they came directly from the WH. There is a distinction there & I want to make sure I’m clearly putting the full blame on Obama for this FELONY (if true).

        • Lulu says:

I see. It is peremptory. That’s why Romney paid them to do his taxes. If it leaks out they can point at the IRS which Obama will have to pretend to investigate, and the Congressional Republicans will go ape. More drama than it is worth.

    • DandyTiger says:

WTF? Well Big Dawg, you might want to slip in a few extra things in your speech.

      • Lulu says:

He ought to walk out and tear up a speech and throw it in the floor, grin and say this is what is going on. Then speak without notes for two hours until they shut the lights off. Then leave laughing. Mooning is not presidential.

        • kanaughty says:

I like that idea a lot to take up all the rest of the time for that night, (put people to sleep). I am also liking the idea that he goes up there and does a one line speech in protest of this new information, that would be fun too.take the suspense out of the suspense. He would be saying a lot by not saying anything at all hardly. He could say, “if you think ob will finally start to get to work, vote for him. If you think mitt might do better then ob has done in 4 years and will do better then ob will do in the next 4 years then vote for mitt. Pick your poison, see you all in another 4 years when a real democrat will finally get the chance to run and i will be proud to do a long speech for. Do you miss me yet ya’ll? Goidnight,”

        • leslie says:

Lulu ~ you are positively brilliant!! (I actually said something on another blog about WJC should call in sick and have NoOne introduce the Fraud) But this is waaaaay better.
And you know he absolutely could speakextemporaneously for 2 hours. without taking a breather and he’d still be way ahead of TehOnce.
