Kool-Aid is a helluva drug

Dougie J at Buffoon Juice:

I hate myself for thinking this, let alone writing it, but after Obama wins reelection this November, I want to start reading more conservative stuff so I can try to see where they’re coming from. Because we are going to have to deal with them long after we become the de facto majority party.

This is unintentional satire. Buffoon Juice was one of those places gloating about the “permanent Democratic majority” three and a half years ago.

Kool-Aid is a helluva drug.

If Obama loses, the obots are going to go nuts. I want the winner of this election to do it decisively to make sure that any charge of fraud is irrelevant.

  2. Visions and visions. No hard core plan. Barry mesmerizes the sheeple again.

  3. DandyTiger says:

Even if Obama won, how would the Dems be the majority party? The Repubs will have the House by a huge margin, and may very well get the Senate. Oh wait, pffft, I was trying to figure out Obot logic again.

I just wanted to add that Slick Willy is so slick . You really have to parse every word he says . Big Dawg said unto us …

NO PRESIDENT would have been able to FULLY recover .
Hell ,we would have settled for 50% which would have been an improvement over the 2% we have now ..

OT — you are effing kidding me — one of the “former employees who worked at companies Bain owned” featured last night at the DNC didn’t even work for the company Bain owned. I swear to dog, these morons can’t even run a convention, much less a country.

I think Obama knows he is going to lose. He phoned it in. He is going to do less and less (and so is the Mrs.) and only what he has to do to keep up appearances. He has never won with a money disadvantage or without dirty tricks that could not be thrown back in his face because of the ever present race card. They believe that Romney’s money advantage is insurmountable. They will claim that Romney is buying the office which is what Obama and his backers did in 2008. Obama is being trotted around like a pack animal to diminishing returns. Being a life long slacker, he will rebel and then it will be over. The media shift is connected to the sense that he is very beatable, highly unpopular, polling very badly, and according to books being released a hateful, incompetent, boring, braggart. I imagine they are talking themselves into the idea that they have enough stashed to waste the rest of their lives bumming around in Hawaii which is all they really have aspired to do.

Photo of Hillary watching Bill’s speech the other night from the other side of the world.
Love the grin – bet she literally LOLed when Bill bowed.

    • leslie says:

      Thanks, mom

      I LOOOOVE this photo!!
I think I’m gonna bookmark it so I can look at it “periodically when I’m feeling down” and grin from ear to ear.

      Lovely picture!

      And did you notice this:

Clinton, who hasn’t missed a Democratic convention in four decades, is on an 11-day swing through the Asia-Pacific region, visiting a number of counties, including China and Indonesia, and standing in for President Barack Obama at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum later this week in Russia. Obama bowed out because of the campaign.

Lol, what would he have done without the Clintons to not only help out, but actually do his job for him. 🙄

Cardinal Dolan snuck a pro-life message in the closing prayer:

    • myiq2xu says:

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York and a leading Catholic-American voice opposing abortion and President Obama’s health care reform law, inserted what some saw as an anti-abortion remark into his benediction Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention.

“Thus do we praise you for the gift of life. Grant us to defend it. Life, without which no other rights are secure. We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected,” Dolan said in prayer delivered immediately following President Obama’s address accepting his party’s nomination.

Gabby Giffords said “under God” in the pledge too 😉

  14. tommy says:

So how was the speechifying? I didn’t watch it. Some Obots I know are still orgasming over O’s speech. Was it comeback kid material or just his lofty rhetoric with no real specifics?

    • votermom says:

I didn’t watch but reviews say it was flat. Certainly didn’t hold a candle to Bill Clinton’s speech.

    • yttik says:

It was a boring and empty speech, kind of like a rerun of his other speeches.

      • cj says:

Jake Tapper said that he just strung a few old speeches together, which is all he’s done for the last three & a half years and I’m wondering why. I mean he has well paid speechwriters on his staff, he doesn’t have to come up with anything clever or inspiring on his own.

The only thing I can come up with is that they must think that the formula for turning plain, boring, incompetent Barry into magical, superhero Barack is extremely narrow and they can’t risk going beyond certain perimeters.

    • Pips says:

I’ve only heard snippets, but when he – repeatedly – yelled: “You did that” I got the feeling that he was somehow trying to emulate MLK’s “I have a dream” speech – you know, the way MLK geniously and unexpectedly strung the words “I have a dream” to the previous sentence – and doing a piss poor job of it.

      JMO of course. 😉

Jobs report out. Only 96K jobs added, and they had to drop 368K unemployed from the labor force to magically bring us to 8.1% unemployment.

“President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people,” Clint Eastwood

  17. yttik says:

“…after Obama wins reelection this November..”

Just thinking if Obama wins re-election, four more years will leave such a bad taste in everyone’s mouth that my grandchildren may not even know what a Dem president is. I can picture 2,3 decades of future Republican presidents as people flee from the memory of Obamanation 2012.

  18. tommy says:

Its interesting to see that some progs like Joe Klein and Michael Tomasky are ‘dissapointed’ with the O speech.
