Well, that sounds pretty definitive.

Even if the economy eventually turns around, which it probably will no matter who is president, and Obama even gets credit, there will still be Democratic party fatigue. So when Biden runs against the Republican candidate… LOL, OK, couldn’t resist. OK, when the real candidate runs, they will have a tough time. Unless the Republicans really do put in a nutcase.

Hillary’s 35 year + history and record as a public servant makes your statement false. She is the head diplomat of this country and as such is privy to more info about the security of this nation than anyone on this blog has in their little finger. You can wish she wasn’t a part of the Obama administration, but her strength, integrity, work ethic and compassion has been proven time and time again.
The question is are we better off with her as SofS or not? I firmly believe that we are better off.

I honestly don’t think she’s helping much. I don’t think she can. She’s boxed in. OTOH, any D replacing her would be doing active harm IMO.
I still personally respect her. I personally respect Condi, too. And Colin Powell. But all have vastly diminished themselves by carrying water and lying and covering for incompetents, whatever their reasons are for doing so. There’s a stench.
For me, Hillary standing up and condemning free speech while our embassies burn is JUST as egregious an act as Powell’s doctored intelligence. Blaming the ambassador’s death on protests is a flat out lie. She may have her reasons. Powell may have had also. It’s still fucking wrong as wrong can be.
I don’t think Hillary condemned free speech. If that’s what you took from her comments that’s your opinion, I disagree.

I agree with WMCB. I don’t care how anyone wants to parse it, putting the focus of the attacks on the video puts us one step closer to recognizing blasphemy laws & it’s bullshit. I understand liking her so much that you want to pretend that isn’t what she did, but your loyalty to her (as admirable as that loyalty is) is blinding you to the fact of what she did.
I still respect her but I am disappointed that she would put the power of the State Dept. behind a tacit recognition of blasphemy laws. Yes, she is boxed in by the Obama administration, but that’s what happens when you lay down with dogs — you get up with fleas. Especially if an id is required for voting. I’m for all citizens taking a simple test to register to vote. The test should ask simple questions, like: What’s your name? What day is it? What’s your favorite color?
