Obama Says Michelle Has “Too Much Sense” to Run for President

President Barack Obama joined the EZ Street show on WKYS Friday to talk about D.C. sports, voting, and his wife’s political ambitions.

And as for Michelle entering the White House as president? Obama told EZ: “She definitely could be the president, but she’ll never run for the presidency — ‘cuz she’s got too much sense. […] She’s an incredible person and an incredible talent. Politics is not her thing.”

Well, that sounds pretty definitive.

There are some things you just don’t want to contemplate on a queasy stomach.

if obama gets another term, no democrat will be able to win in 2016, and the repubs will get to stick some loon in there

      • DandyTiger says:

Even if the economy eventually turns around, which it probably will no matter who is president, and Obama even gets credit, there will still be Democratic party fatigue. So when Biden runs against the Republican candidate… LOL, OK, couldn’t resist. OK, when the real candidate runs, they will have a tough time. Unless the Republicans really do put in a nutcase.

Romney must be on a roll. I haven’t heard any news about him all day.

Paul Ryan is a missing person.

  9. wmcb says:

Good piece on how the growth of govt is benefitting the well connected, not the poor, and spawning a sewer of corruption. DC now almost the wealthiest town in the USA.

For Mitt Romney and the Republican Party, what’s happened in Washington these last 10 years should be a natural part of the case against Obamanomics. Our gilded District is a case study in how federal spending often finds its way to the well connected rather than the people it’s supposed to help, how every new program spawns an array of influence peddlers, and how easily corporations and government become corrupt allies rather than opponents.

The state of life inside the Beltway also points to the broader story of our spending problem, which has less to do with how much we spend on the poor than how much we lavish on subsidies for highly inefficient economic sectors, from health care to higher education, and on entitlements for people who aren’t supposed to need a safety net — affluent retirees, well-heeled homeowners, agribusiness owners, and so on.

2 things: Some of you still haven’t figured out who the lying ass liars are. Yes, Hillary probably prevented WWIII from breaking out sooner than it could have, but in the end, unless she is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, she and Bill have proven they don’t give a rat’s ass about the future of America. 👿 Additionally, I would go ahead and end my pain if that fucking fool MO got to take the oath! PUKE! 👿

    • imusthavepie says:

Hillary’s 35 year + history and record as a public servant makes your statement false. She is the head diplomat of this country and as such is privy to more info about the security of this nation than anyone on this blog has in their little finger. You can wish she wasn’t a part of the Obama administration, but her strength, integrity, work ethic and compassion has been proven time and time again.

      • myiq2xu says:

The question is are we better off with her as SofS or not? I firmly believe that we are better off.

        • myiq2xu says:

          Imagine the alternatives.

        • wmcb says:

I honestly don’t think she’s helping much. I don’t think she can. She’s boxed in. OTOH, any D replacing her would be doing active harm IMO.

I still personally respect her. I personally respect Condi, too. And Colin Powell. But all have vastly diminished themselves by carrying water and lying and covering for incompetents, whatever their reasons are for doing so. There’s a stench.

For me, Hillary standing up and condemning free speech while our embassies burn is JUST as egregious an act as Powell’s doctored intelligence. Blaming the ambassador’s death on protests is a flat out lie. She may have her reasons. Powell may have had also. It’s still fucking wrong as wrong can be.

        • imusthavepie says:

I don’t think Hillary condemned free speech. If that’s what you took from her comments that’s your opinion, I disagree.

        • carol haka says:

Up until she jumped the shark at the transfer of our brave Americans last week, and Bill took off on his campaign tour, I thought there was hope for their redeemtion. Sadly, not! 👿

        • imusthavepie says:

Again, I disagree. I watched all of her speeches after the attack and I didn’t see her jump the shark. Can you accept that others may not agree with you or are you always right? Is your evil face emoicon suppose to get those who disagree with you to back down?

        • wmcb says:

imusthavepie, bull. She has followed the Obama line that the youtube is to blame (though of course it doesn’t justify violence) right down the line. She called it disgusting and reprehensible.

When a woman has just been raped, to mention in ANY context that she provoked it, even if accompanied by caveats that it still doesn’t make it justified, is victim -blaming. Period. This is no different.

And yes, I am fucking furious with her. Mostly because she knows better.

        • bluestate says:

Hillary standing up and condemning free speech while our embassies burn

the admin’s response overall was bad, but i think it’s unfair to say that hillary personally condemned free speech.

        • imusthavepie says:

Bull yourself. I’ll repeat, she has PROVEN her dedication, loyalty, grit, determination and dedication to this country. I am sorry that you don’t agree. But that doesn’t make you right. Even if you use 1000 swear words.

        • wmcb says:

Excuse me imust, but I did not in any way disparage her long history of service, nor say she was not dedicated to the US, nor say I didn’t appreciate it. I readily admitted she may have her reasons that seem, to her, like good ones.

All I said was this was WRONG. It is an undermining of free speech, and an assent to chilling of blasphemy against Islam. I have great respect for her, but I don’t hero worship a living soul.

        • angienc says:

I agree with WMCB. I don’t care how anyone wants to parse it, putting the focus of the attacks on the video puts us one step closer to recognizing blasphemy laws & it’s bullshit. I understand liking her so much that you want to pretend that isn’t what she did, but your loyalty to her (as admirable as that loyalty is) is blinding you to the fact of what she did.

I still respect her but I am disappointed that she would put the power of the State Dept. behind a tacit recognition of blasphemy laws. Yes, she is boxed in by the Obama administration, but that’s what happens when you lay down with dogs — you get up with fleas. That doesn’t erase her long record of public service, but it isn’t something that can be defended, either.

      • carol haka says:

She endorsed and continues to endorse a lethal, total incompetent while being privy to all the facts about him. That’s all either of my little fingers need to know about the subject. 👿

    • carol haka says:

The forum to which she chose to make her asinine claim is what makes this so egregious! 👿 That’s my haka! Sarah Palin took on the corrupt and evil in her own party. She continues to do it today. That’s now my “real world”! 👿

isn’t it sad when someone has to point out to a sitting president that his campaign has such bad taste. Everyday in every way the lack of understanding of America is amazing.

they are not worried that they are replacing a flag the Americans have fought for, they are replacing it because someone said hey dummys look at the picture showing your failure to protect your people

      • carol haka says:

Hey, remember he made his own faux Presidential Seal. Why wouldn’t a fake flag be next? A new version of the National Anthem dedicated to him will be next if he gets another term before his eventual coronation! 👿

I can vouch for some of that stupidity. I don’t know what to call it except the clutch doesn’t seem to be engaged anymore. It’s like the rush to buy the latest shiny new product. Do you even know what it is or what it does?? Nope, but I’m going to line up at 5 AM and make sure I get one!
