World Series Panda-monium!

Official Pablo Sandoval Bobblehead Doll

World Series Game Two starts at 5:00 p.m. Klown standard time live from AT&T Park in San Francisco. It’s gonna be Mad Bum vs. Merced native Doug Fister on the mound.

My son-in-law is a Tigers fan from Michigan. Apparently my daughter inherited her mother’s bad taste in men. (Just kidding) (Maybe)

This is an open thread cuz I ain’t gonna be paying attention to y’all anyway. (Just kidding) (No, I’m not)

Play ball!

To drink, or not to drink, that is the question.

On one hand the Giants are playing in the World Series. On the other hand, I have two days of sobriety.

I wish I knew how to embed polls.

Fun fact: Illinois law doesn’t require voter ID on election day. Only early voters (plus a few others) are legally required to show it. It’s not immediately obvious to me why that is.

The ID for early voting makes sense to me.
At least where I vote in CA, each polling place has the list of registered voters for the particular polling station. If I vote at City Hall early, the list is for everyone in the county, therefore, workers have to look up that the person is registered, make sure that the person is deleted from the polling station list, or at least marked as having voted to ensure no double voting. The ID ensures someone will not use a neighbor’s name and address and impersonate to take away someone else’s vote. Voting early is more troublesome and more labor intensive than voting at the polling station on election day.

    Maybe this will work

That is appalling! What a thing to say to a grieving parent. 😦 I think there’s something seriously wrong with Biden.

My husband has met him. (The company he works for one an award for start-up of the year in PA and Joe made a speech … they were all forced to attend. So funny as most in the crowd were Republican), My hubby said that afterwards while mingling Joe said something about Obama that stunned them all because of how rude it was. I’ll have to ask him the exact quote tomorrow. Joe just seems to have no impulse control.

Jeep might be moving to China.

And if that isn’t enough, apparently GM was extorted for/is giving the Volt tech to China.

While GE is giving them flight simulator tech and who knows what else.

So the taxpayers bail them out or give huge tax breaks and China gets the reward.

    Mitt can’t arrive soon enough.

LMAO — have y’all seen the new idiotic Obama ad with some allegedly famous actress on some TV show who basically equates voting for Obama with sex? It’s causing all kinds of consternation for being beneath the dignity of the office of the president on the right (and that’s true but given how low the SCoaMF has set the bar, it’s debatable) but I think Romney should pay to run it. Some of the posters at AOSHQ have named this ad Vagina Squirrel:

Now the Obama crazies believe that the media and the pollsters are manipulating the poll data. Hitting the target is the most important job of a pollster, and only good polltakers survive in a business that’s very competitive.

I read somewhere that backtrack raised $90 million in the same period

    • HELENK says:

should read Romney raised $111.8 million

backtrack $90 million in the same period

    • DM says:

Al Gore had money left over after the 2000 elections. I hope Romney spends every cent he has, and borrow money if necessary to win in 2012.

      • Simofish says:

John Kerry left $$ on the table too. You know Barry and Moo-Moo will keep some of those dollars.

        • DM says:

Campaign money cannot be kept for personal use. Gore must have ended up giving the money to other Democratic campaigns.

  20. Well, we have Big, Binder, Bayonets, and now…”Bullshitters.” You know it’s bad for Team Obama when they sink this low.

    • DM says:

Like a tree that falls in the forest with no one to hear the sound, these stories will not exist because the regular media will continue to disseminate the story Obama wants the voters to believe. None of the people I know will read the NRO or the Weekly Standard. Sending the story would only upset them.

    • Sharing on Romney Democrats tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tip.

  21. DM says:

Tomorrow Q3 GDP will be released. The market expects 1.7 growth. Anything lower than that will likely spook the market. Anything better will send the market higher.

  22. HELENK says:

the games that are nail biters are always more interesting then the games where one team is so far ahead of the other.
admit myiq you had fun watching that game.

I am glad your team won
