Obama Says He Kinda Hopes the Tigers Win the World Series
President Obama appeared on the Tonight Show last night where he admitted that he’s leaning toward rooting for the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. And what a real slap in the face this is to San Francisco, which has practically bankrolled his 2012 presidential campaign.
His words exactly:
“I will say, I’ve spent a lot of time in Detroit lately, and I didn’t want to let Detroit go bankrupt. So in this particular World Series, I might be a little partial,” Obama said in comments taped before the Tigers lost the opening game of the series to the San Francisco Giants.
The Obama Touch strikes again. The SF Giants crushed the Detroit Tigers hopes and dreams again last night, taking a 3-0 game lead in the best-of-seven series. Game Four is tonight at 5:00 pm, with Matt “Big Sugar” Cain taking the mound for the Giants. If the Giants win any one of the next four games they win the World Series – the Tigers gotta win all four.
Sorry, Detroit, better luck next year.

This World Series makes up for the other losses the SF Giants had so many times in the past.
The Giants dominated with that sweep. The 2010 win was fantastic. For some reason I find this one absolutely stunning.
