DNC caught trying to deceive reporters about identity of Rubio critic
“My name is Annette Capella. I’m a senior citizen living in St. John’s County, Florida.”
That’s how a Florida woman trotted out by the Democratic National Committee on Monday to criticize Republican Sen. Marco Rubio introduced herself during a DNC-sponsored call.
In press advisories promoting the call, the DNC referred to Capella solely as “a Medicare recipient from Florida.”
The purpose of the conference call was for DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democratic Rep. Chris Van Hollen and Capella to slam Florida Sen. Marco Rubio before he gives the Republican response to the State of the Union this week.
“As his constituent, I sincerely hope he decides that America’s seniors are more important than Tea Party politics or protecting generous tax loopholes for Donald Trump and Big Oil,” Capella said during her remarks.
But it turns out that the DNC was hiding pertinent information about Capella’s background: She is not just your average senior citizen in Florida. She is a former leader of the St. Johns Democratic Party and a state Democratic committeewoman.
When a reporter busted the DNC and asked Wasserman Schultz during the call asked whether Capella is the same person who served as a Democratic Party official in the state, the DNC chairwoman responded, “Annette can answer the … question.”
“I stepped down as chair,” Capella explained. “I’m now a state committee woman.”
I don’t know what is worse, that the DNC decided to do a preemptive slam on Rubio or that they felt it necessary to be deceptive about it. Sleazy crap like this makes me ashamed to have been a Democrat.
Let’s ban assault phones!
My brother-in-law just totaled his van last week by rear-ending someone. He was answering his phone, looked down to see that he had two missed calls, looked up into an airbag. Luckily the guy ahead of him wasn’t seriously hurt.
SOTU officially upstaged.
I love it. 😆
The Pope and N Korea and SOTU also blurred any coverage of the latest upcoming exec order

Kill switch anyone?
No, this is worse – this is allowing “information sharing” between “private businesses” and government agencies.
Just think how easy law enforcement will be for Homeland Security if they can just ask for whatever they want without having to go through all the trouble of getting a search warrant.
OT- Happy Mardi Gras!
That Debbie lies is a given. It will be breaking news if she ever tells the truth.
What is more disturbing is the people who actually believe the lies that politicians spew.
Then they vote. 😯
ROFLMAO! Just seen in a post on FB
Was in a story about an 11 yr old who shot two home invaders. LOL
Oh for God’s sake! Entitlement mentality at its worst!
http://news.yahoo.com/lehigh-university-student-got-c-124956418.html
Her father is a professor there (of finance no less) and this young woman got free tuition and a job.
What the hell?
She wanted a masters in counseling but “the grade ruined her dream of becoming a licensed professional counselor”. She got a zero in the class participation part of the grade because she alternately used profanity or was crying during class. You can’t make this stuff up.
Entitlement yes but loons wanting to be counselors too. Yikes! The university has some responsibility to not unleash crazies upon the public as mental health professionals. I think she and her father do not “get” that part.
They should fire whoever wasted a scholarship spot on her.
Back in my day if you got low grades you lost your scholarship; you didn’t sue the school.
Seriously, can’t the courts throw her in jail for being such a git?
It is the legacy crap that academics get to use to perpetuate their often unearned entitlements. My kid that graduated last year was in a scholars program at a big public university. Several selected were children of university deans and presidents. None of them, ZERO, finished it. Those slots were wasted on them but they do it so their own kid who cannot get into this same public university can get into their buddy’s usually private school.
#ThingsIdRatherDoThanWatchSOTU is trending on twitter
I was surprised that someone at Buzzfeed had the balls to do this. Then I read that he was fired shortly thereafter.

It has gone beyond the drug wars now. All sorts of federal agencies, from the FDA to the Dept of Education are doing paramilitary style raids on everything from Amish dairy farmers to suspected federal aid scholarship scammers. Innocent people are being terrorized and killed. It used to be that full-out paramilitary raids were reserved for things like hostage situations or taking down a major (and dangerous) crime lord. No more. They are doing this shit over MILK, people. Fucking MILK.

If I understand the mindset, and scarily I might, the “forces” are foolishly sometimes using routine arrests as practice sessions for their occasional full out assault-type operation. That’s because the agency head is a political hack, not a professional, and cares not a speck what the unwashed public thinks.
This is some funny shit. I wish I had time to frontpage it.
