Katie Pavlich Is A Bad Person!

Katie Pavlich Wins CPAC Blogger of the Year

Townhall’s Katie Pavlich has won the Blogger of the Year honor from the Conservative Political Action Conference, capping off an incredible conference and a huge award for Pavlich.

From the ACU’s press release:

Katie Pavlich is news editor of Townhall.com, author of the New York Times Best Seller Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up, and a Fox News contributor. As a reporter, she has covered news stories ranging from Fast & Furious to the 2012 presidential election. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and is a National Review Washington Fellow. Pavlich is also an avid lover of the outdoors and highly respects the right to bear arms.

But of course, you knew all that already.

Congratulations, Katie!

Katie Pavlich is a bad person!

I know this is true because she got an award from CPAC and that means she is on the “other” team. Not only that but she is guilty of the unforgivable sin of pointing out that The Emperor Has No Clothes. That is heresy!

Katie can’t be very bright because the GOP is The Party That Hates Women. But she is young and easy on the eyes, so maybe she will be lucky enough to marry some nice progressive male who can set her straight.

I don’t know if you saw it, but Ace of Spades HQ won the “Blog of the Year” award at CPAC. Ace — who remains anonymous — sent Gabriel Malor to accept on his behalf with this speech, which Malor actually read:

Gabriel Malor is an asshole. He jumped ship to the New York Daily News without ever acknowledging that I am his intellectual and philosophical father, and that I made him, as a baker would make a loaf of Ungrateful Bread.

I have chosen him to accept this award on my behalf out of spite.

Thank you, John, and anyone else for this award. I appreciate it. It is a validation that I, and not the human ventriloquist doll reading this statement, am a true force in the online media.

Thank you again, and please makes sure that that your thunderous applause is directed solely towards me and not this sad puppet that stands before you in all his shame.

And *this* perfectly demonstrates why AoS is an awesome blog even if I don’t always agree with everything written there. 🙂

      LOL! That’s pretty funny!

      • angienc (D) says:

Seriously, whenever you need a laugh you can almost always count on Ace & the posters there (they call themselves “Morons”) to provide some.
They had a post a month or so back on this Barack & Michelle “erotica” online book (written for real, by a fan) and it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever read on the internet. I actually had to take breaks from reading the comments I was laughing so much. (Reggie Love appeared a lot).

        • wmcb says:

Once you hang around AoS awhile, you figure out that a lot of the crudeness, apparent sexism, whatever, is in truth very sly self-parody to tweak the left’s stereotypes of the right. The get-me-a-sammich jokes are ubiquitous, and a running gag among the women there as well as the men. Because seriously, you guys, sometimes a dude just wants a damn sammich, IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK???

There are a few actual assholes over there of course, but they have to get pretty consistently rank and disgusting before Ace will toss them out. He’s a minimal policing kind of guy – let ’em fight it out.

        • wmcb says:

I also think my PC meter is set pretty low. I think the standard for, say, a public official *must* be a good bit higher than for friends cutting the fool amongst themselves, or casual comedian jokes, or whatever. I mean, seriously. I reserve the right to think you are an asshole if you go too far, and say so. I recognize that it’s going to be my personal judgement in that case, not “irrefutable standard for the whole world, period.”

But I rarely advocate anymore a concerted effort at shutting up a private citizen. Because once you start doing that, it gets nutso with the muzzling, and there is no end to it. And I DO participate in holding the left to the same damn standards they profess for others – but that’s WAR, not PC nitpicking.

Katie’s got a bright future, even thinking of challenging John McCain in 2022. She won’t be 30 in 2016 !

She is one ballsy woman. I hope she does, and cleans his clock.

She should frame part of her campaign as also doing JMcC a favor by getting him out of sight before he totally flushes his rep down the toilet, and use clips from senior citizen Arizonans as spokespeople.

        • wmcb says:

I have never been a big term limits fan, but I swear, watching both DiFi and McCain this week, I am beginning to think they all start to reek after so long – even the fairly good ones.

I saw Sarah Palin is still trending on twitter, so I took a peek, ugh. The haters are trying to out-hate each other … on a Saturday night hatefest of PDS. One even claimed the Big Gulp proves she supports diabetes and childhood obesity. They just can’t quit her 😉

  9. wmcb says:

Stolen from Althouse. A bit of a court victory today: A judge in CA has ruled a National Security Letter to a telecommunications company unconstititional.

Basically, she said that the letter itself seeking information on a suspect is ok, and a gag order that prohibits release of info to or about the specfic person involved may be ok. But a broad gag order that prevents the company entirely from even revealing that they are receiving such letters, or from EVER revealing that they have received them in the past, is unconstitutional.

Since the statute cannot be separated from the gag order, she threw it out as unconstitutional and says the govt needs to rewrite the statute.

The company in question brought the case because they got such a letter, and challenged the Obama Justice Dept on the gag order. Holder then sued the company, claiming it had no right to even question the authority of the DOJ.

Read that again. Then picture Cartman: “You will respect my authoritaaaay!”

  12. wmcb says:

LMAO! I love Althouse’s commenters sometimes. Regarding ill-informed, uneducated people running around trying to look important and decide which guns to ban (hint: it’s ones they personally think look SKEEERY, regardless of function.):

Getting back to Feinstein, I happened to read the article she wrote about a week ago defending her foolish bill (foolish as in written by a fool and voted affirmatively for by fools).

I’ve seldom seen so much misinformation in one place.

To take one example, she is opposed to semiautomatic rifles that have barrel shrouds or front handles because that’s how people avoid burning their hands on hot barrels. Yup. Of course the wooden stock on Renaissance matchlock muskets, Revolutionary War muskets, Civil War rifled muskets, the Winchester rifles that “won the West,” the military rifles of World Wars I and II, and hunting rifles since the 17th century serve the same purpose. The move to plastic barrel shrouds has nothing to do with lethality.

Apparently, given that she lists the model of the Ruger Mini 14 that looks vaguely like an M16 military assault rifle among the weapons to be banned, but not the “ranch” version of the same Mini 14 that has a wooden stock, the only reasonable conclusion is that Feinstein conflates visual resemblance to modern military weapons with lethality. She has clearly gone senile.

I can only conclude that black plastic guns have psycho-compulsory abilities that wood guns do not have. It might be something in the plastic that vibrates at particular frequencies on the molecular level.

    Just, you know, saying.

Why are they only wanting to ban the black guns, huh? Racists.

    • wmcb says:

Oh, and front handles or folding stocks are great for women. They are a safety feature. They help keep the gun steady and in better control, especially for smaller people like women. So do the dreaded pistol grips on rifles. Makes it more stable.

Many of the features on modern guns, that these stupid legislators freak out over, are SAFETY FEATURES. These idiots see a bunch of black stuff stickiing out all over the gun, and lose their damn minds because they have NO CLUE what those features are for.

It’s the same with ammo – Feinstein having her snit fit over “imploding bullets”. Um, no, you dipshit. Hollow points are safer for innocent bystanders, or the other hunters in the woods, because they STOP once they hit something – they don’t keep going through walls etc.

      • myiq2xu says:

If high-velocity full metal jacket rounds had existed in the 19th Century the body counts in the various wars would have quadrupled even if the guns had the same rate of fire as the old muzzle-loaders. That’s because if you still had troops standing up shoulder-to-shoulder in ranks and rows firing volleys at the opposite side (who were doing the same thing) each round that hit would take out several soldiers at a time. Lead bullets deform and flatten which expends most of their velocity in the first target hit.

(Breech loaders and metal cartridges made it possible for soldiers to reload without standing up, which dramatically changed military tactics.)

        • wmcb says:

Yep. I find it funny, as I read the anti-gun crusaders stuff, that so many of them quite literally *have no idea* what the point of various gun parts, ammo, etc. is. It’s just silly.

It’s like the idiots who say that a pistol grip is so you can spray-fire “from the hip” and that’s bad and extra-killy and stuff. HUH???? Cupcake, you are not going to be doing that with an AR15 or most any other semi-auto rifle. It’s very unstable, and if you are smallish it’s going to KNOCK YOU ON YOUR ASS and your gun will be FLAILING ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE if you don’t drop it or SHOOT YOUR OWN DAMN FACE OFF first. Real guns are not like the movies.

I think they watch a lot of really bad Hollywood movies to gain their gun knowledge. Then anything that reminds them of the bad guns that the bad guys who did bad things had in the movie makes them escared, so ban it.
