I hope this little girl never sees herself in this video when she grows up.

    • HELENK says:

knowing how cruel kids can be I hope no one finds this video as she is growing up. she will be put through hell

  2. “People should be able to marry who they love.”

What if a 47 year old dude loves and wants to marry this four year old?

On another note, I love that mommy here is pudgy. Good for her.

    • t says:

I think most people recognize that she’s talking about consenting people.

      • votermom says:

I think most people recognize that she’s echoing what her mom teaches her. Kids want to please their parents, it’s natural & healthy.
Good parents try not to exploit this for politics or money.

Maybe msnbc can get a four year old financial expert to explain the Obama-economy for us?

The Tesla Model S being the exception that proves the rule. Not only slick looking, it’s Performance model has a top speed of 130 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. And it does that very, very quietly, too.
The rest, though, are el cheapo.

So what should the federal government actually be involved in? I’m thinkin’ military/defense, interstate commerce and interstate transportation….that’s about it.

    • Somebody says:

      I presume you’re including customs/border in your military/defense?

I would add federal courts, after all they are part of the 3 branches of government and in the constitution. Technically so is the post office.

I also presume under interstate commerce things like food and drug inspections would be covered?

I hate to be a party pooper, but unless we plan to repeal all taxes we’re going to need Treasury/IRS…….just saying.

How about social security and medicare? Are we going to do away with those? I think many of the other social programs could be handled by the states, education should be too. Many of the federal agencies were once simply offices or departments within other agencies. I think many of them should return from whence they came.

Everything can certainly be privatized. Including defense. But I think we can go to far in that direction. Certainly the legal and police system as well as defense. And the things you mentioned.

In theory, there are a number of things we as a group might do better together, meaning socialized via our government, than can be done through the private world. That could include all of health care and education and maybe other things. But as we see, the bigger and more power a government gets, the more corrupt it becomes. And in a funny way, the more powerful private companies that are closely tied with politicians get. So if private companies via corrupt governments are going to do the stuff anyway, then maybe it should be private from the start.

Theory is nice, it’s the details that get messy.

      • Somebody says:

Ain’t that the truth. The government is too large and needs to be downsized, yet honestly it’s too small in some areas. We clearly need more argricultural inspectors for our food supply as one example. Even when the budget is increased we don’t end up with more actual worker bees, the government has WAY too many chiefs and not nearly enough Indians.

Using my example, I guess there is no reason we couldn’t contract out the inspections, except the track record isn’t so bright with contracting stuff out. The companies always lowball the bids and then come back with their hands out, in the end it usually ends up costing more. The FAA training program for ATC’s is a classic example in that, what a clusterf*ck. It’s in-house……it’s contracted out…..change contractors because the first one sucked…..change again, they need more money they underbid……change again…..move it back in-house.

The root of the problem is with the politicians. We no longer really have representative government, not in the way it was designed. We have corrupt cronyism.

The USA is unique because it has state govts & federal govt. There is a lot of stuff the fed govt has taken over that logically should fall under state govt.
