1500 pages one day before hearing.

It would a lot cheaper to hire monkeys with buzzers to vote on the laws of the land. They can’t do any worse then what we are paying for now.

this guy wants to be a democratic president.
well he did tax the rain in his state, so that would give him a good start

I would like to go on record that I did not vote for O’Malley. Beyond smug. Just like BO. Hopefully will be harder to hide O’Malley’s records. Can you say Baltimore?

The so called rain tax, I believe is driven by EPA (I liked someone’s variation of the agency calling it the Employment Prevention Agency). It’s been coming for a while but many jurisdictions hide it, say as a storm damage assessment, so people don’t know they are paying. Putting on the state’s agenda, rather than local municipalities and tagging the “rain tax” may not have been O’Malleys best move but he likely thinks it will blow over by 2016.

I am keeping on eye on the Chicago gang. They do not want to lose power – so what surprise candidate are they going to pull out of nowhere to keep their control in place.

Tax Day isn’t until Tuesday in MA because tomorrow is a holiday where everyone gets dressed up like colonials and chases the British around the countryside. And no, I haven’t filed my taxes yet. They only get them early when they owe me money.

I wandered over to the Huffington Post to read this:
It’s by the president of NARAL, and she claims the Gosnell trial is a window into the time before Roe v Wade. At first I was surprised at the beating she’s taking in the comments, but then I realized things are just happening faster than I expected. Pro-choice people really are re-evaluating how they think about abortion in light of the pro-abortion whenever and however stance being taken by the far left.

    • SHV says:

      President of NARL:

“Ilyse Hogue is a nationally-recognized social change practitioner…”

WTF is a social change practitioner????

The previous president of NARAL, Nancy Keenan, is a Roman Catholic who was on record saying that she agreed with the Church that abortion is a mortal sin….how screwed up is that???

    • Mary says:

Thanks for sharing this! The comments really reflect what a lot of us are thinking—no limitations at all is not ok, either. Thanks!

    • lyn5 says:

You would think pro-choice women would be concerned about safety and would want abortion clinics to meet certain health standards. Talk about a disconnect. (If we’re concerned about gun safety, we should be concerned about safe abortions.)

This is what happens when you are dealing with tribalists who reflexively try to spin everything and “control the narrative”. But there is no way to spin this story and the narrative can’t be controlled.

The smart thing for them to do is agree that Gosnell is a monster and support better regulation to keep abortion safe. Then lay low and wait for the storm to pass.

Taxes, taxes who can think about them when it snowed here last night in downtown Wisconsin.

    Iowa Hawk

    David Burge ‏@iowahawkblog 2h

Ben Carson or Kermit Gosnell: guess which doctor the media consider “controversial.”

  8. driguana says:

This going on today, too…kind of a big deal for Venezuela and South America.

  9. HELENK says:

very little if any reporting of statutory rape cases from abortion clinics

Family Kicked Off Plane After Complaining About In-Flight Movie

A family was kicked off a United Airlines flight last February after they repeatedly complained about the in-flight movie.

The offended passengers were on a flight from Denver to Baltimore when the PG-13 thriller Alex Cross began to play on the plane’s monitors. When their demands became too much for the crew to handle, the flight was diverted and the family was asked to leave.

The couple initially addressed the situation with flight attendants. After they were told that the monitors could not be turned off, they took their complaints to the captain.

The family soon heard the captain announce that the flight was being diverted to Chicago for “security reasons.” Once the plane was on the ground, the couple and their children were kicked off.

The family wrote in an anonymous letter to The Atlantic:

“Throughout these interactions the atmosphere was collegial. no voices were raised and no threats, implicit or explicit, of any kind were made. The flight continued without incident, while my wife and I engaged our children to divert their attention from the horrific scenes on the movie screens.”

Officers from the Chicago Police Department boarded the plane and approached the family. They were instructed to gather their belongings and follow the officers off the flight. The family was understandably shocked.

I wonder if this is becoming a soon-to-be trend.

Delaware abortion clinic facing charges of unsafe and unsanitary conditions

The title of the article is rather misleading because it’s Planned Parenthood, not just any old abortion clinic.

    • myiq2xu says:

In Delaware, abortion clinics are not subject to routine inspections. The state only steps in when they have a patient complaint. Planned Parenthood is essentially in charge of inspecting itself.

  13. HELENK says:

interesting. look who had input and who did not have input on the immigration bill otherwise known as obamacare 2

  14. foxyladi14 says:

Read the danged bills before voting on them 🙄

Expats get until 6/15, yay! I paid 5K in self-employment taxes to the US last year; got a 375 euro REFUND on my French return. And no, it wasn’t bc of a credit for US taxes paid–US expats get double taxed on payroll taxes (ie, even if you pay them in the country where you reside, you are still liable in the US, and the 80K exclusion only applies to income taxes). Shocker.
