RNC ad with Obama and Newtown mother infuriates DNC

The Republican National Committee (RNC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) clashed Wednesday over a new RNC ad that the DNC says cruelly exploits the Newtown shootings.

The ad, called “The First 100 Days,” criticizes Obama on the failure of his legislative agenda, including gun control, so far in Congress. It features a voiceover saying that Obama’s agenda has “already suffered a string of defeats,” and a black and white photo of the president reaching to embrace Nicole Hockley, the distraught mother of a victim in the shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

Democratic National Committee spokesman Brad Woodhouse called the ad “disgraceful” in a tweet and “disgusting” in another.

When you watch the video don’t blink or you’ll miss it. And the brief glimpse they’re talking about didn’t come from a memorial service, it was from the POUTUS Presser in the Rose Garden where he used some Newtown parents as stage props while he whinged about Senate Republicans.

If you politicize something, your opponents should be able to politicize it too.

What is really stupid is by complaining they attract more attention to the ad.

I just checked my Super Lotto ticket from yesterday. I didn’t match any numbers but I came really close to matching three of them.

Any week now, I can feel it. I’m due for a winner.

Maybe I’ll double my odds and buy two tickets on Friday.

I know two people who have won over a million dollars in our state lottery. Both were teachers I worked with, but in different schools. The first guy died 6 months later. He had no family, and I don’t know who got the money. The other one took his wife on a cruise around the world to celebrate. While they were gone, their college age kids had a party. They figured their parents didn’t need the house any more since they won so much money so they trashed the house. It “accidentally” caught on fire, killing one of his kids and permanently injuring two of their friends. I’ll pass.

The first person to win the “Big Spin” when California first started selling lottery tickets was an unregistered Democrat who took his money and went back to Mexico.

One of his cousins got jealous and stabbed him to death.

Based on that empirical evidence you should probably go price a new car.

LOL, that takes hypocrisy to a whole new level! No politicizing the tragedy we already politicized! It’s not fair!

President Obama is allegedly going to now turn his attention back to “helping” the enemy combatants in Guantanamo . Thank goodness! The rest of us have really suffered enough.

Poor little babies. Boo-fricking-hoo. That little tenth of a second bit was in bad taste. I wouldn’t have included that bit. But they were political props, and happy to be political props, so it’s completely fair to use them as well. And good point, it’s getting more airtime because of the crying.

Funny thing is, Dems are really, really lucky gun control didn’t go anywhere. If they had passed stuff, esp. if it had all sorts of unintended consequences like the senate bill had, they would have lost by a landslide just like the last time they passed gun control.
