Friday Music Open Thread

Katie Whats-her-name had a TV Mom special but she skipped my personal favorite – Joanna Kerns/Maggie Seaver from Growing Pains. (A little bird tells me that Dandy Tiger has always had a “thing” for June Cleaver.)

I am almost tempted to watch the network news tonight to see how much of today’s Benghazi revelations get reported. Almost.

It’s Beer Thirty here. What are you doing?

BTW – I’m starting to think that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are never gonna get deevorced. I’m really getting tired of waiting for her to be available again.

TV moms, huh? I saw a cute Mother’s Day card today. It said, “You’re the kind of mom that feeds her kids cookies for breakfast, teaches them how to mix your martinis, and dresses them in mismatched clothes.” Than on the inside it says, “Don’t be ridiculous, I would never dress my kids in mismatched clothes!”

It gave me a chuckle. That’s what kind of mom I’ve been. We might be on our way to juvenile court, but darnit, you better be dressed sharp!

One of the great things about traveling across country is that you can listen to local radio…which I truly love. Hands down the best station we tuned into on our trek from Santa Fe to Delray Beach FL was KVON in Lafayette LA…outstanding….really loved hearing Steve Riley on the radio and we learned all about boudins and cracklins!

Wow a lot of crap went down today and I missed it all, thanks for the updates everybody. Today is my anniversary been out with hubby most of the day, just got home from dinner……apparently had one too many margaritas cause I just busted my butt doing nothing more than walking into my office!!!

Does anybody know what reporters went to that closed door briefing?

Oh and Myiq, from the get go I’ve been suspicious of Petreaus’ resignation the timing was too convenient. I’ve wondered all along if the files the FBI went searching for at Broadwell’s house had to do with whatever was really going on in Libya. Maybe he wanted a little insurance policy.

BTW I posted down below that I prefer a special prosecutor. My reasoning is this……I think whatever was really going on in Libya may well likely extend across both sides of the aisle, at least a select cabal. If a select committee is formed I there may be some finger pointing but I don’t think the real truth will come out. I’d be willing to bet on a couple of names on the R side that I think may have their fingers in this pie and I think they’d stand a good chance of being on a select committee. So I prefer a special prosecutor to cut through the politics find the truth and nothing but the truth and let the chips fall where they may.

Oh and one more thing. How come our military is capable of finding their way to Libya now if called upon??? That really pisses me off.

      Happy Anniversary.

      Happy Anniversary Somebody !

Keith Koffler at White House Dossier is working on the list of special snowflake reporters invited to the little pow-wow. He has a good post up about what it may mean.
