They got their new strategy talking points from the President’s political team. Watch for same narrative all over Sunday shows and in articles this coming week.

      • Lulu says:

The whining crap spewed could be applied to every single bureaucratic office in the US. And in fact does as every office of this type has and does have many problems. But they do not commit crimes for a president’s re-election and to destroy his political enemies unless directed (and usually strong armed even threatened) to do so.

If the premise of this article is accepted, and this office and program within the IRS was such a big fat mess, why was Ingram repeatedly given enormous performance bonuses which were so large that they had to be approved by the POTUS and she was promoted to the terrifying new enforcement division of the Fourth Reich, er, IRS/Obamacare? Chiefs of “troubled divisions” do not get those kind of performance awards until they get them straightened out. This one was performing exactly as they wanted it to thus the huge awards. Let’s see what awards were paid out to flunkies doing it and then the lie will be exposed.

        • Mary says:

Completely agree! I think these spokespersons really underestimate how offended Americans will be by their condescending political spin.

        • Mary says:

Oh—and gag me—-Pfeiffer et all are brushing off all these questions, saying Obama i s too busy being concerned about JOBS and the middle class.

GAWD. These people think we’re stupid.

    (Need you ask why?)

Seems to be a sweet guy. While sports cars and younger women are supposed to be what “mid-life crises” are all about, the real mid-life crisis happens when you realize you need to be taking care of your parents instead of your parents taking care of you. My daughter revealed to me that she and her brother are worried their dad has decided he’s “old”. Whether she’s right or not, it’s the first sign middle age is setting in for her.

did you read the earlier post about America being hated abroad? it was good and made thing

  3. Lulu says:

Where was “Waldo” Obama during the Benghazi crisis?

“Asked about whether the president entered the Situation Room, Pfeiffer says, “I don’t remember what room the president was in on that night, and that’s a largely irrelevant fact.”

Pfeiffer then argues that Wallace’s questions about the president’s handling of the Benghazi terror attack are “offensive.”

More I don’t remember answers. Was he in the dining room? The john? The hall? The Choom Room? It appears he was only in communication (walkie-talkies?, cell phones? a seance though Valerie Jarrett?) with his political operative national security crew (and maybe, just maybe, his re-election staff). Besides a staged photo of the O-man talking to some minions has already been provided.

    • Mary says:

I think there probably are pictures of him in the first meeting at 5:00 pm, and possibly later, too, in the situation room.

Had things turned out better, those pictures would have been published the next day. As it is, however, they’ve been deep-sixed. 🙂

    • Mary says:

Wait……there was a 10:00 pm phone call that night between Clinton and Obama?

  4. swanspirit says:

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—President Obama used his weekly radio address on Saturday to reassure the American people that he has “played no role whatsoever” in the U.S. government over the past four years.

“Right now, many of you are angry at the government, and no one is angrier than I am,” he said. “Quite frankly, I am glad that I have had no involvement in such an organization.”

The President’s outrage only increased, he said, when he “recently became aware of a part of that government called the Department of Justice.”

“The more I learn about the activities of these individuals, the more certain I am that I would not want to be associated with them,” he said. “They sound like bad news.”

Mr. Obama closed his address by indicating that beginning next week he would enforce what he called a “zero tolerance policy on governing.”

“If I find that any members of my Administration have had any intimate knowledge of, or involvement in, the workings of the United States government, they will be dealt with accordingly,” he said.

Good editorial in the Moscow Times….is the real “enemy” our own government ? Guess they would know ….

  8. DeniseVB says:

    Candy Crowley via Newsbusters ….

I’m sensing the new talking points from what I’ve read by the defenders of the IRS, just that so many NEW orgs were tea party applicants after Obamacare was passed, it just “looks like” they were picked on.

    • Lulu says:

The statistics prove differently. The “scrutiny” started in 2009 (not that long after Broncobama took office) with intrusive demand letters, which the congressional committee have in their possession, before the uptick in 2011. They were hitting the Tea party groups before the 2010 congressional election. These groups were effective in 2010 so the IRS group doubled down in 2011 when the groups were growing in number and influence. They targeted the small Tea party groups and especially those in what they thought were hick/politically backward areas without resources to fight them legally. The big fully funded Tea party groups were left mostly alone. The uptick in group organizing included proggies too who went through the approval process like greased pigs. This is baffle ’em with bullshit stuff. Their own statistics will prove the lie as will the performance awards to the minions carrying out the policy. Besides one of the WH mouthpieces said this morning “the law doesn’t matter”.

      • DeniseVB says:

Also, the IRS has pretty much apologized for their targeting practices, so I know it’s true. 😉

        • Lulu says:

The Congressional committee will go into targeted audits next which is even worse. That is harassment and illegal as hell. I want to see the baloney they come up with to explain that. Also the seizure of medical records for many millions of people in California will be interesting since it was not on a search warrant and in no way could be included in a criminal case for supposedly targeting one person by IRS agents. That medical record seizure was in 2010 I think. This stuff has been going on almost from the beginning of this administration.

        • Lulu says:

Correction: The IRS raid on the insurer was in 2011. They seized 60 million medical records.

“The complaint alleges the IRS was “invasive and unlawful” and stole access to intimate medical records that included patients’ treatment plans and therapies, UPI said.

The suit seeks $25,000 in compensatory damages, per violation. The records’ seizure could impact up to one in 25 Americans, UPI said.

    • angienc (D) says:

You know how we know Obama directed this IRS bullshit? Because the week before the IG report was to come out Obama gave a speech to college grads telling them that they would hear “voices” warning them about tyranny but they “shouldn’t listen to those voices.” The timing of that speech wasn’t a coincidence — like the planted question at the ABA conference, it was a preemtive CYA move. At least it’s clear to me that Obama has been a part of this from the begining — besides . . .
It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

if I get stopped by a cop for breaking a law, can I tell him the law is irrelevant???

Pfeiffer on the IRS targeting conservatives. the law is irrelevant

  11. DeniseVB says:

    Oh joy …

Maybe Obama will hire him for his defense team, after all, JRE’s been credited for getting Bill off the hook during his impeachment trial in the Senate 😉 True story.

And he is NOT A CROOK!!! 😆 😆

    • Lulu says:

And it is irrelevant and what does it matter. And Rasmussen has him at 43 approval by the end of the week. OMG. Zombies!! A squirrel! A Zombie squirrel! An IRS Zombie squirrel!
