  1. Somebody says:

    Clearly a classic case of workplace violence

    • mcnorman says:

      20.02 Downing Street has released some details about the emergency Cobra meeting, which was told that security has been tightened at Woolwich barracks and increased at all London barracks.

      The meeting lasted just under an hour and was attended by the Home Secretary, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Met Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, Met Assistant Commissioner Cressida Dick and intelligence agencies.

      The meeting was told there are strong indications that it was a terrorist incident.

      19.53 Nick Raynsford, MP for Woolwich, tells Channel 4 News: “It is my understanding this man (the victim) was a serving soldier based at the barracks. He had been on duty in central London and was making his way back to the barracks.”

      Now Barry would probably call it something other than a terror attack.

    DC too darn hot. meeeeschele plans extended vacation at the vineyard

    • DeniseVB says:

      Well, something may be happening at the Vineyard, the Boston Globe’s reported on it. All summer ,eh ? With Obama visiting on weekends?

      Why not Camp David ?

  5. elliesmom says:

    I’ve been thinking about this IRS thing. Why not abolish the IRS and let the government become a charitable organization? The President can hire someone to run the government while he runs around the country raising money to pay for it.

    • DeniseVB says:

      I just saw a post by Amy Siskind on FB and she’s pissed at the Tea Party for suing the IRS, because that will cost taxpayers money. I believe the TP is pushing the fair tax and wants to abolish the IRS. I didn’t dare mention that to her 😀

      • angienc (D) says:

        Seriously? That’s her effing take away from all of this?
        She’s a moron.

        • DeniseVB says:

          I’m paraphrasing, but she’s mad at the IRS/AP targeting too. I don’t think she’s a fan of this administration, but Paul Ryan and theTea Party still disgust her 😉 Something like that.

    • Lulu says:

      Or make it a church with Obama as Messiah. Everyone can tithe or something. /s/

    Just like the two soldiers shot in Little Rock by Islamist was labeled a random drive-by shooting.

    • cynic says:

      If I remember correctly, this killing went unnoticed by most people. The media was too busy talking about George Tiller being killed, and blaming it on Bill O’Reilly.

  7. Mt.Laurel says:

    Slightly off topic

    When I was catching up on the posts and saw this header:

    Obama Uses The Marion Barry Defense

    I suddenly saw Barry the Younger dangling from the edge of a balcony after falling out a window at the Watergate with Barry the Elder shouting ” No, I am your father”.

  8. HELENK says:

    another scandal coming. world bank insider blows whistle on corruption federal reserve

  9. HELENK says:

    why would anyone want to run as a democrat in this climate with all the scandals?

  10. from rasmussen:
    “The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove.

    Today’s figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends). This is the worst approval index since September 26, 2012.”

    Gee, I wonder what was happening waaaaay back in Sept 2012. Oh yeah! Benghazi was being spun and swept under the rug by a pack of lying liars.

    When republicans say that the suppression of the IRS’ IG report, which already knew about targeting and intimidation in Sep 12, as well as the cover-up of Benghazi would have swung the election to Romney they are absolutely right.

  13. Damn, I hope she is compelled to testify or face contempt of congress but I think there may be enough wiggle room in the legal standard for selectively invoking the 5th. We shall see. Either way it will be DRAMATIC.

  14. swanspirit says:

    For some reason , I just thought this belonged here

  15. swanspirit says:

    Key Republicans have buckled under. The Senate will pass the bill right under our noses.

    It is a bad bill. I’ve written against it many times. A group of prominent conservatives recently signed a letter pointing out the deficiencies:

    We have a variety of concerns; some of us share only one, others share all. Among these concerns are that the bill:

    * Is bloated and unwieldy along the lines of Obamacare or Dodd-Frank;

    * Cedes excessive control over immigration law to an administration that has repeatedly proven itself to be untrustworthy, even duplicitous;

    * Legalizes millions of illegal immigrants before securing the borders, thus ensuring future illegal immigration;

    * Rewards law breakers and punishes law enforcement, undermining the rule of law;

    * Hurts American job-seekers, especially those with less education;

    * Threatens to bankrupt our already strained entitlement system;

    * Expands government by creating new bureaucracies, authorizing new spending, and calling for endless regulations;

  16. HELENK says:

    this is a national disgrace and there is no reason for it to happen in this country.

  17. taw46 says:

    I need to quit my job so I can keep up with the scandals/hearings. Reading as fast as I can every night!

    When is the next hearing?

  18. alice says:

    I swear, I can’t keep up with the scandals either. Clearly, despite the claims of many, I just wasn’t paranoid enough.

  19. HELENK says:

    weird thought of the day.

    if some of these IRS go to jail, can you see them telling their cellmate Big BUBBA where they worked?
