“Shoegate”
No, seriously.
From WaPo:
A White House counsel known for her shoes
It may say more about Washington than White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler that she’s known in the West Wing for her fabulous shoes.
Ruemmler first attracted attention for her glam heels as a Justice Department prosecutor trying Enron executives Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling in 2006, when she sported what The Wall Street Journal described as “stunning 4-inch bright pink stiletto spikes.”
A legal affairs blog “Above The Law,” called her a “star litigatrix” as a result. ”Litigatrix indeed,” the blog wrote. “Just because you work for the DOJ doesn’t mean you have to shop at DSW.”
Now, she wears Manolo Blahniks and Christian Louboutins into the Oval Office.
One of Ruemmler’s pairs has a jeweled paisley pattern; another is black and strappy. We tried to get a photo from the White House showing one of these exceptional pairs; instead we got this shot of her in a senior staff meeting with the president, revealing a conventional pair of heels.
When White House Council of Economic Advisers chairman Alan B. Krueger briefs the senior staff on how consumer confidence has risen, according to White House communications director Jennifer Palmieri, aides routinely inquire whether Ruemmer has gone shopping.
“Her shoe buying can move markets,” Palmieri quipped.
You know who else likes shoes?
Sarah Palin.
Shoegate is a pedestrian tale.
7 men to 1 woman… They’re not even paying attention to her in that picture…
Ugh.
All this article is pointing out is that she better get a pair of Ruby Slippers – ’cause they’re about to drop that house on her any minute.
That sure is true.
If it wasn’t such a tragic illustration of the State of the Union it would be laughable. They are so transparent in their tactics.
😆
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what passes for “penetrating investigative journOlism” in today’s WaPo. What a year for squirrels! Record setting! Look, see!

In the mean time what is this all about?
Saw it, too, Shakes head. Slams desk.
How does she feel with that giant target on her back (to take the attention off of Jersey Shore Obama)?
Imeldific.

look to the skies tonight
Awesome!! 🙂
In other words, she prosecuted Enron and that’s why Republicans are going after her. Two memes in one article. Juliet Eilperin is vying for Ruemmler’s spot in Obama’s graces.
Another squirrel. Rosen was not a blogger or a tweeter, though he may have tweeted. Holder did not target bloggers or tweeters; he targeted journalistS.
Didn’t you hear? Fox is not “real” news. It’s not news until the MSM covers it, like Benghazi or ACORN disbanding.
If you want news eventually, watch the MSM. If you want the news first, watch Fox.

another plan to steal the wealth of the US
If the rest of the country succeeded from DC and called ourselves muslims do you think our citizens could get their money back and the backtrack bunch could called them selves good business men and humanitarians?
The Palestinians rejected the offer.
I don’t understand women and shoes. Apparently women’s shoes say a lot, the problem is they never really tell us what they say? Kind of like this article, I’m like, yeah, so what? But it’s a very clever piece of propaganda, because the image of those shoes will resonate with people. The problem is, I don’t speak the language so I don’t know what the message is.
Body adornment is a cultural universal . Shoes while functional , can be adornment . Just like any other item of clothing , hats sweaters etc. They can reflect status , wealth , and creativity . A “well shod ” person is a person who is in good circumstances . For women , shoes can also have a very definite sexual inference. Really high sexy heels on a woman are commonly called “F*ck me ” shoes .It seems as if Kathryn Ruemmler has a bit of a foot fetish thing going on .
For every woman who collects shoes there is a guy out there who collects comic books and/or sports memorabilia.
At least shoes are functional.
…..or pre-war toy trains, early 19th century stamps and Civil War books. Believe me, shoes are cheaper. 😉
Many women’s shoes are not functional they are torture devices. It tells me something when women are willing to wear a torture device to work to look “atractive”. It makes me think they are pathetic.
We called them “CFM” shoes.
AMEN To me shoes are just to keep my feet clean. 😆
didn’t shopping for shoes hurt Condi Rice during Katrina?
Sure did .
It’s different when they do it. 😆
I saw a couple of tweets today referring to “knowing more about the WH counselor’s consumer habits than where Obama was the night of Benghazi” ….. now it makes sense 😀
after reading your comment, I went looking and found this. do you know anything about these search engines? I use dogpile,it used to include bing but does not any more
http://www.allmyfaves.com/blog/allmyfaves/top-10-alternative-search-engines-best-of-2012/
Actually, Bing is a much better search engine. A great discovery thanks to the Google Easter fiasco 🙂
Don’t kid yourself. Neither Gates nor Microsoft are any less invasive or offensive. They just play to the professional instead of the hip.
Still better.
Durn you Klown! Now I have to try to deGoogle myself – on four devices. @!#@@!@ and Chocolate Brownie Fudgies!!!!!
Is there nothing sacred with you? {{grumble, grumble, grumble}}
Shocking!!! 😯
Half of all Americans are below average in intelligence. Yes, I know that’s really mean.
I do not even see poppies anymore for Memorial Day. willing to bet that over half of Americans do not even know what they stand for.
What are the odds they would know about the ruptured duck?
Poppies = Flanders Field
We wore poppies at work today. But you are right, rarely see them anymore. I grew up in a small Southern town, and everyone had poppies on Memorial Day.
I am not so certain if they are below average in intelligence , as much as just not giving a damn , and taking their lifestyle for granted , which is worse imo.
Natural selection makes periodic purges of the human gene pool.
ROFLMFAO!
LOL, I love these “vidiot” tapes, but always skeptical that they edit out all the smart people because they’re just funny !
* NOT funny …. derrr fickle flying fingers faster than my brain.

how many lives destroyed ??
Good god, that is atrocious.
Surely most of us remember Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeanie)? This is cute, and at 78 she looks GREAT. Looks younger than Bill Clinton 😀

Jeannie was HOT. Even better, she wore pajamas and said “Yes master” at least once every episode.
LOL. That’s what I liked about the article, when she did her “Jeannie” nod, Bill Clinton appeared. The audience loved it !
