Syria rebels ‘beheaded a Christian and fed him to the dogs’ as fears grow over Islamist atrocities

Syrian rebels beheaded a Christian man and fed his body to dogs, according to a nun who says the West is ignoring atrocities committed by Islamic extremists.

The nun said taxi driver Andrei Arbashe, 38, was kidnapped after his brother was heard complaining that fighters against the ruling regime behaved like bandits.

She said his headless corpse was found by the side of the road, surrounded by hungry dogs. He had recently married and was soon to be a father.

Sister Agnes-Mariam de la Croix said: ‘His only crime was his brother criticised the rebels, accused them of acting like bandits, which is what they are.’

There have been a growing number of accounts of atrocities carried out by rogue elements of the Syrian Free Army, which opposes dictator Bashar al-Assad and is recognised by Britain and the West as the legitimate leadership.

These are the same guys Obama wants to help.

What could possibly go wrong?

You really are a silly man. The guys was a Christian, so he deserved it. Didn’t you get the memo?

  2. yttik says:

It’s okay, I’m sure Obama will be spying on their email and phone calls and doing strip searches at their airports. Oh no wait……that’s us. We get the background checks and the fiscal colonoscopies.

This is really off-topic (OT), but reading this article, 3 words caught my attention, “Permanent Terrorist Registry”. Who keeps this registry anyway and once you’re on it, I guess anything goes (Michael Hastings). http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2013/06/ag-gag-laws-mowmar-farms

    • myiq2xu says:

Is that like a bridal registry?

      • leslie says:

Not exactly. I still cannot print a boarding pass at home when flying. I still have to check in with a person who questions everything about me -including, but not limited to: where I am going and why. Who I am staying with and their address and phone numbers. When I plan to return and how I can be reached if need be while I am away. And then – if I’m lucky, i get a boarding pass that allows me to proceed to the screening area. (This ever since the Bush administration shocked and awed the universe. But bronco was gonna change things. remember?

Also OT. Bill Clinton made a controversial speech about Israel

OT – Jelly Donut is channeling Kennedy and Reagan with his speechifying at 4000 invited guests at the Brandenberg Gate. Delusional and narcissistic little man. I refuse to post link but his blatherings can be heard at WH Dossier or Fox.

Imo rapists deserve the death penalty; at the same time girls need to not be babes in the woods and learn some situational awareness.

    • yttik says:

Yeah, but we need to change our entire way of thinking and stop blaming crime victims for not defending themselves, as if all the responsibility should be on them, men or women. I’ve heard, “well he shouldn’t have had such a nice stereo and parked his car there.” Or, “It’s his own fault, he shouldn’t have been carrying cash around.” We’re creating a whole culture where bad behavior is justified if you’re tempted enough, or pissed off enough, or the victim is stupid enough. Whatever the excuse, bad childhood, racism, poverty, behavior of the victim, we’re living in this world where bad guys don’t have to take any moral responsibility for their actions, because the victim obviously wanted it. Used to just be true for rape victims, now it’s spreading to everything.

      • votermom says:

Part of the reason is bleeding heart judges that just let the criminals slide imo.
Worse, now we see more cases of police actually put the people practicing self-defense in jail instead of the criminals.
Stupid people will always be around, but if criminals know the penalties will be sever, a lot less of them would be doing crimes.

      • “Taking moral responsibility” is not taught in a classroom where no child can fail. They are conflicting concepts.

Ruh-Roh, trouble at the Capitol today ?

There’s often several things going on in DC, and I never remember being blocked from attending another groups rally. You just mosy over and listen to the speakers for awhile to try and figure out what kind of group it is, then you move on to the next one. Geebus, the whole point of holding rallys is to get a message out to as many ears who want to listen.

Capitol Hill police had no problems letting a rather large group of pro-immigration storm a Senators office last week (I think it was Cruz’s?).

I tell ya, they’re pushing the tea party folks buttons, someone’s going to snap. DC OWS squatted illegally so what this “terms of permit” they speak of?

CHRIS MATTHEWS: “I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin. I think it ruined his use of the teleprompters and his usual dramatic windup was ruined. I think he was really struggling with the text there.”

    • DeniseVB says:

I’m still fuming that the IRS didn’t save their office party receipts when I’m EXPECTED to save mine for 7 years….or else.

      • Lulu says:

Whenever claims that receipts are missing you ask for all accounts payable for the YEAR. Then examine it with a magnifying glass. Call up a sample of accounts paid to make sure they are not fraudulent. If anything is funny you do ALL of them including getting copies of the checks and examine the accounts. And that includes “petty cash” and employee credit cards. IRS needs a full forensic audit for several years. They think no one will do it to them. Hire an outside auditor.

As I said, every day is Tinfoil Tuesday

The producers of an upcoming documentary on TWA Flight 800—which exploded and crashed into the waters off Long Island, N.Y., on July 17, 1996, killing all 230 people on board—claim to have proof that an explosion outside the Paris-bound flight caused the crash. And six former investigators who took part in the film say there was a cover-up and want the case reopened.
“There was a lack of coordination and willful denial of information,” Hank Hughes, a senior accident investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, said on Wednesday during a conference call with reporters. “There were 755 witnesses. At no time was information provided by the witnesses shared by the FBI.”
Jim Speer, an accident investigator at the time of the crash for the Airline Pilots Association, who sifted through the recovered wreckage in a hangar, said he discovered holes consistent with those that would be formed by a high-energy blast in the right wing. He requested it be tested for explosives. When the test came back positive, he said, he was “physically removed” from a room by two CIA agents.
They would not speculate on the reasons for the alleged coverup.
After a four-year investigation, the NTSB concluded the plane was destroyed by a center fuel tank explosion likely caused by a spark from faulty wiring.
