So I admit that I am having a fine chuckle at Putin giving the big finger to Little Feckless Prezzy Man by letting Snowden transit via Russia. That’s rich.

However, strap on your tinfoil hats, because Putin may have also pantsed the snot nosed entitled Little Lord HopenChange and stolen his lunch money in yet another way:

See the some of the arms that Obama was sending to the heart-eating Syrian terrorists were going by commercial ship. And the ship they were on (a relatively new and safe ship with all the modern safety doodads) has inexplicably just cracked right in two while at sea. No storm or nuthin. Now, my husband, being an old Navy man, is laughing his ass off at this. Yeah, a depth charge could do it. Or sabotage by the (coincidentally!) partly Russian crew. But it seems very unlikely that this just happened by accident.

I think Putin is taunting the boyking, and enjoying every minute of it. I think Putin has his number, and knows he can push him into doing something emotional and stupid.

26 crewmembers of an MOL containership were forced to abandon ship Monday off Yemen after the ship suffered from catastrophic hull failure and broke in two.

The MV MOL Comfort, an 8,000 TEU-type containership cracked in half about 200 miles from the Yemeni coast at about 12’30″N 60′E while enroute from Singapore to Jeddah with a load of 7,041 TEUs.

Putin: OOPS. Aw, bad luck, Obama. Guess 7000 TEU’s aren’t making it to Syria after all. My condolences.

My tomato crop is finally starting to come in. If you have ever eaten a fresh vine-ripened tomato you know why they are classified as fruit rather than vegetable.

There was an old wives tale that tomatoes were poisonous, probably started by old wives who didn’t want to share them with other people.

nothing tastes better than a just picked tomato run under the hose and eaten as soon as it is picked.

that is something I miss out here. A fresh Jersey tomato is to kill for

Jealous. My tomato plant is now the size of a pickup truck with eighty kajillion green tomaties. Oh, for a little color.

The Olallieberries, OTH, are superb!!!!!!! My honey has finished putting up jam three times this year, but the crop keeps coming in fresh every morning so now she’s sent me after more pectin and jars.

    • cynic says:

What happened to the one with leaf curl? Glad to hear that your getting fruit. I’m jealous! Here in IL, it’s been a cool, wet Spring. Not a whole lot of sunshine.

Can’t wait for that first tomato. I only make BLT’s when we have tomatoes from our garden. Yum. Oh, and bruschetta, dreaming of bruschetta……..
