Outrageous!

Radaronline:

Taylor Swift is the princess of country music, but to the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, she’s basically the whore of Babylon. “This girl is a whore,” Ben Phelps, the leader of the outrageous, headline-grabbing anti-gay group, tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. And so, he’s planning a protest for her August 3 concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

The WBC called Taylor “the whorish face of doomed America” in a recent outrageous press release, and Phelps explains, “She’s widely loved. She’s got huge approval ratings.”

But referencing her romances with Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Cory Monteith, Conor Kennedy, and others, Phelps says, “What she’s famous for is hopping around from one bed from another.”

“This girl is a whore,” he insists. “Who else is gonna say that if it’s not the church of the Lord Jesus?

[…]

Citing her “immodest, vulgar appearance” and “serial fornication,” Phelps and the Church are begging her to “promote the standards of God instead of whoredom, fornication … that filthy lifestyle.”

[…]

The controversial anti-gay church explained in a press release, “One simple tweet from her: ‘Stop fornicating ladies, and obey God’ would rock the house. But it would cost her millions she makes with her sin-coddling songs. Taylor Swift uses the talent God gave her to warble about fornication.”

Phelps says Taylor can expect to face off with up to fifteen people, but he insists he’s not worried about the turnout. “It’s not about the numbers,” he says. “It’s about getting a message out. We really are not concerned with people’s support. We’re concerned about putting the standard of God out there. Especially when you have a person like this who is inexplicably loved and revered. She’s a whore! I mean, come on.”

I guess they ran out of military funerals to picket. Hopefully these idiots will end up being torn apart by a mob of angry fangirls.

Hhmmm. I guess they have a different God than I do. I love Taylor and there are sure a hell of a lot of female exhibitionists passing as singers whom they could be protesting. I hope the fangirls shred them too.

I guess they forgot to read the part of the bible that says
Judge not lest you be judged.
they are the church of unending hate.
has there been anytime that they have done any good in God’s name? I have not seen or heard of any.

Members of the Westboro Pharacitical Church forgot to read A WHOLE BUNCH of the bible. “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone…..” is another one.

OT it’s apparently been confirmed 19 firefighters, most from a City of Prescott, AZ, fire department hotshot crew, died this evening in a wildfire that’s tearing through the small town of Yarnell, AZ.

Hotshot crews work with hand shovels, picks, axes and other tools clearing fuel (brush, dried grass and timber) from the pathway of moving wildfires. They each carry survival “tents” which are supposed to protect them from just such a tragedy in the event a fire outraces them. The story is still developing.

I think the westboro “church” is very beneficial to the powers that be, judging from all the media attention they get. They’re hardly even a church, they’re more like one family. They release some ridiculous press announcement and the nat’l media can’t wait to report it, as if this were a legit religious organization with hundreds of members. They aren’t really baptist, they aren’t really a church, and they don’t really even have a congregation, but they sure are portrayed that way.

    • Erica says:

That’s an interesting idea, yttik. They came to my church once, protesting outside because, well, that’s what they do. It was mostly a gay congregation and we were having a memorial service. Anyway, it was a rare hot day in SF, so I went out and invited them in for some cool drinks and snacks so they could rest a bit, and they just about became mute. Sputtering and huddling together to figure out their next move in the face of outlandish hospitality. They decided not to come in. I said suit yourself, and let me know if you change your minds, becuase all people are welcome here. They really didn’t know how to field that one. Really, they are kind of stunted in their approach to life.

You forgot to add “…and proud of it.” Taylor should wear this like a badge of honor.
