Somebody came up with some pictures of what the various planets would look like if they were as close as the moon. The one above is Jupiter.

Unfortunately, there is one in every crowd:

This reminds me of one of Larry Niven’s books where he talks about receiving a paper from a grad student at Cal Tech who calculated the tensile strength of scrith.

I almost feel sorry for the people assigned to write the @whitehouse tweets. Then I remember I’m paying for them.

I consider his tweets just awesome

Stupid tweets are just so numerous! I prefer the funny ones, like, “eharmony matched me up with a rope and a ceiling fan.”

this is not a tweet. it is one of the saddest things for my country that I have seen.

the sad part about this is that it is believable . they might even vote

backtrack supporters sign petition for backtrack to suspend the bill of rights

I used to think the John Birchers were nutjobs. now I am seeing what they were talking about happening in this country.

this video is long but it is worth watching

Just when you thought it was safe to tweet. That Brian Beutler in the tweet above is clearly a creepy ass cracker. And I mean that in a nice way. 🙂

do you ever get up near the Emeryville train station? right near there on the other side of the bridge is a red brick building right at trackside. we used to park our cars under the bridge. I worked there third trick by myself with a miniature base ball bat in the desk drawer. kept the doors locked. there was an artist that lived upstairs that kept opening the back door. it was interesting. at that time there was a guy riding freights in Texas that was killing people that lived along the tracks. I can not blame my kids for all of my grey hair.
