The jury deliberated for 16 hours and 20 minutes over two days before reaching a unanimous verdict of NOT guilty.

    Are you serious? Oh crap.

Wait – twitter says Not Guilty?

  2. Mary says:

    Fuck yeah!!!

  3. taw46 says:

I can’t believe it. I was so afraid they would find him guilty.

  4. lyn says:

    Suck it, Mr. President!

  5. votermom says:

  6. swanspirit says:

    SUCK IT Race Baiters !!!!!

  7. Let the riots begin. Local news reporting “what looks like riots” in Sanford.

  8. helenk3 says:

A very brave jury. looked a the facts, not the hype

  9. myiq2xu says:

The Martin family skipped the reading of the verdict.

  10. I hope he gets out alive

  11. Holy shit! Took a nap and SNAP, woke up 90 seconds before they read the verdict. Watched with a house full of teens who will never forget where they were tonight because of what will happen next. Amazing! Vindication!

  12. myiq2xu says:

I am watching MSNBC to see if heads explode

    • swanspirit says:

Aww they are depressed over there at the race baiting channel ,

      • myiq2xu says:

Al Sharpton is promising further action – civil and federal.

        • lyn says:

Didn’t O’Mara say that Zimmerman will get immunity from civil suits? I think people will donate to defend Zimmerman from any DOJ B.S.

        • Jadzia says:

I don’t understand this. Why would Zimmerman be immune from civil suit? OJ Simpson (who unlike Zimmerman was, IMHO, guilty of murder) was acquitted and then hit with a large civil suit, and he wasn’t immune if I recall correctly.

Obviously I would hope that Zimmerman would WIN any civil suit, but that’s not the same thing as being immune from being sued in the first place.

        • Jadzia says:

Thank you! I was totally confused because I didn’t know that the SYG statute intersected with SD claims, nor did I know about its immunity provision. This case hasn’t been covered as much over here, so I am low-info compared to most of you all.

  13. elliesmom says:

My faith in six women was not misplaced. You have no idea how much I needed some faith restored.

  14. Jury system. Gotta love it. Sorry I doubted.

  15. myiq2xu says:

If there are gonna be riots they won’t happen right outside the courthouse.

    • underwhelmed says:

And yet they celebrated the acquittal of that slimeball Simpson. In other words, they’re all ethically bankrupt.

Thank God justice prevailed. Now let’s keep Zimmerman in our thoughts, for his safety.

  16. swanspirit says:

Reverend Al is already talking about a civil suit and civil rights violations , bastage that he is .

    • 1539days says:

Go ahead. They won’t know what hit them when Zimmerman counter-sues. The Martins have more to lose, now that they’re in the Trayvon business.

  17. myiq2xu says:

MSNBC/The Grio Joyce Ann-Reid – No blacks on the jury, Florida run by NRA

  18. myiq2xu says:

    Angela Corey gasbagging.

  19. Angela Corey sucking on tv right now. Let the lawsuits begin.

  20. myiq2xu says:
    • Somebody says:

Angela Corey is on an ego trip. I am so fed up with her. When she brought this case I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking there must be more to the story. She’ll never get that from me again or my vote.

    • 1539days says:

Baldo was on next (I can’t remember all his names) talking about the family of the victims of crime. The only reason Zimmerman wasn’t the victim of a crime is that you can’t put the dead in jail.

  21. Anthony says:

Thank fucking GOD!!!!! Was so afraid they were going to convict him of manslaughter just to appease the race baiters…..

    Suck it, MSM!!!

  22. Somebody says:

The system worked, I believe justice prevailed.

    • myiq2xu says:

      Yes and no.

George Zimmerman didn’t get justice. His life has been ruined.

      • Somebody says:

True but that wasn’t the system that was the media and he has an opportunity to seek damages from the media.

Even still his life has indeed been ruined and I fear for he and his family’s safety.

      • 1539days says:

If he moves to Texas, he’ll be much better off.

        • Somebody says:

Perhaps, but I think he’ll be hunted no matter where he goes. I honestly think his best bet would be to leave the US at least for a little while.

      • insanelysane says:

He needs to be supported by we the people.

  23. trixta says:

I couldn’t watch the trial but am so relieved GZ was found NOT GUILTY! Tragically, a 17 year old is dead and GZ’s life is ruined and his safety questionable. If people want to riot, so be it. They will be breaking the law. BTW, the term “white Hispanic” is a vicious coinage to skew the court of public opinion and is as weird as saying “white African American”, etc.

  24. votermom says:

  25. Locked-N-Loaded says:

Congratulations to six objective, reasonable, and fair women who decided this based on the facts of the case. Glory be!!!

  26. myiq2xu says:
  27. votermom says:

I guess this is some rapper

    • leslie says:

why don’t these “FOLKS” get in trouble for this type of comment?

      • gxm says:

That’s what I want to know. Nineteen yr old Justin Carter is sitting in jail because he made a stupid comment on FB and yet these comments are allowed.

  30. Lizzy says:

We need to keep Zimmerman in our thoughts and also those six brave women on the jury. They also have to go out among the race baiters and haters. Great work. I propose a national day, week, month or year of no t v to let the media know how much we love and respect them.

  31. 1539days says:

Drop Dead Diva Angela Corey is really digging the hole deeper. Maybe she can get a job on MSNBC after being disbarred.

  32. helenk3 says:

the prosecution is not happy. still arguing the case. this will not help

    • trixta says:

“[Prosecution is] still arguing the case”

Yup, adding more fuel to the racial fire.

    • 49erDweet says:

slight correction, Helen. The prosecution has BEGUN arguing the case.

Something they didn’t do much of, earlier. Unless that was all they had.

  33. myiq2xu says:
  34. angienc says:

    Ho Lee Fuk.

The jury played it smart — I thought for sure when they didn’t come back quickly they would be (at best) hung. But instead they deliberated & considered for a good long time so they couldn’t be accused of rushing to judgment on what was obviously a case where the prosecution came nowhere close to meeting it’s burden of proof.

I would say the system worked, but if the system worked the case never would have been brought — instead, political pressure had to be brought for a special prosecutor to be appointed & bring charges — without a Grand Jury indictment. Angela Corey and the entire prosecution team should be disbarred for this travesty.

    • Jadzia says:

I tend to agree — my initial thought when they didn’t come back quickly was that they did not want to be accused of failing to deliberate thoroughly, and then when the hours kept clicking by thought that if they hadn’t already decided, they were probably trying to choose between manslaughter and not-guilty.

  35. myiq2xu says:
  36. wmcb says:

Good. My husband is now yelling at the prosecutor on TV: Suck it, bitch! You threw everything at the wall including child abuse and nothing stuck, because the guy was defending himself. STFU, racist loser!

  37. trixta says:

Sharpton is threatening to sue in civil court, etc., so I hope GZ sues for defamation…. I’m concerned for the six jurors’ safety.

  38. myiq2xu says:

Now MOM and Don West are up.

  39. myiq2xu says:
    • Somebody says:

Somebody needs to take Angela Corey’s shovel away…….damn get a hook pull her away from the podium……enough go home… a resident in your district I might add go home and resign.

  40. myiq2xu says:
  41. trixta says:

Don West (def. att.) said the Prosecution was “disgraceful”…. Also, this defense lawyer and his family were threatened.

  45. Lulu says:

A seventeen year old lashed out and acted violently illegally and now he is dead. It was in his own hands that night. George was not responsible.

  46. myiq2xu says:
  47. swanspirit says:

I love Mark O’Mara he just took apart the media !!

  48. I’m forcing myself to watch MSNBC—-not pretty

    • Anthony says:

True. Al Sharpton just threw a whole bunch of gas on the fire, now Crump doing his racist thang… Jesus… so much for justice

  49. helenk3 says:

If I ever needed a defense lawyer I would want West and O Mara.

they are not happy with the prosecution. will go ahead with sanctions. This is not over.
I love that he told the press that their part in the railroading was not right.

  50. myiq2xu says:

The guilty parties are speaking now.

  51. 1539days says:

After hearing Al Sharpton, I think Somebody is right. The NAACP and the race hustling industry is going to Eric Holder’s Department of Racial Animosity demanding federal charges. I don’t think the DOJ will hesitate for one second. Zimmerman may have as few as 48 hours to catch a plane to Peru while he’s still a free man.

    • Anthony says:

Unfortunately, because of people like Al Sharpton, Crump, Eric Holder and The Dog Eater, Zimmerman will never be a free man. He will always have to look over his shoulder

  52. myiq2xu says:
  53. myiq2xu says:

When I was in law school they never told us that “race pimp” was a legal specialty.

  54. trixta says:

I wonder when all the Lefties are going to get upset about all the poverty and violence and murders in Chicago.

The family wants to make TM a Civil Rights symbol. What a disgrace!

    • DandyTiger says:

So a symbol of a thug want-to-be who didn’t get to mug and kill someone. Good thinking on their part. I think he will make a perfect backlash symbol.

      • 1539days says:

I wonder how much the crime rate will drop in Florida.

      • swanspirit says:

Thug wanna bes are role models in the entertainment industry aimed at youth ,especially African American youth . A rapper just recently got shot while performing on stage , so why not a thug “civil rights ” symbol ?? Rosa Parks would get off the bus .

    • Mt.Laurel says:

They don’t care about the violence and murders in DC either. Unless…

That family – are they not the ones that kicked that little angel out of the house?

  55. ““white Hispanic” is a vicious coinage to skew the court of public opinion and is as weird as saying “white African American”, etc.”

THis sounds like a GREAT way to refer to POTUS in all Tweets going forward! LOL

Today, White African-American President Barack Obama left for more golfing on Martha’s Vinyard”

  56. helenk3 says:

If I heard one more time that martin was just a child , I will scream. he was a young man. At 17 my husband and many others were in the military. At 17 I was almost on my own.
Did he still have a lot to learn about life, yes but he was not a child, he was a young man.
I still am outraged over the media showing him at 12 years old , not as a 17 year old. 12 years old a child, 17 years old a young man

    • swanspirit says:

I have been wondering myself why the phrase young man has never been used in reference to Martin . Especially since he was 6’3″ tall and built like the football player he was . But of course I know why .

  57. Correction – America’s FIRST White African-American President…”

  58. myiq2xu says:
    • DandyTiger says:

      Fucking idiots.

    • gmanedit says:

So disheartening—I used to like him. What I see predominantly is an absolute hatred of guns, gun owners, and self-defense, and denial of who the law-abiding and the criminals are.

This is like the Great Divide of 2008.

  59. yttik says:

My favorite comments so far, all pretty much the same:

“CNN, why don’t you just STFU?”

    “STFU you CNN race baiters”

“WTF is wrong with you, CNN?”

Also, I am grateful for Western civilization, too, Votermom! Are we still allowed to say that?? Oh well, loved that tweet.

Everyone loses something when the courts are involved, but at least we didn’t turn this tragedy into a travesty.

  60. swanspirit says:

  61. Hahahaha! Irony personified.

Paranoia, prejudice, pursuit of an imaginary ‘suspect’ in one’s own mind…

They are off and running with assumption, speculation, logical fallacies, low information, and, dare I say it, ill will over at Sky Dancing
