Verdict Watch

The Zimmerman jury will begin deliberating again this morning at 9 am eastern time. I am still hopeful for a relatively quick not-guilty verdict. My optimism has been somewhat diminished since yesterday however.

The race-baiters should be praying for an acquittal. They can use that to reinforce the sense of racial injustice that they pimp for a living. They’ll get lots of mileage from it.

If George Zimmerman is convicted there will be celebrations and probably a few riots as some people use it as an excuse to go on a looting spree. Nothing says “Justice for Trayvon” like pillaging the local electronics store.

But a conviction will make Zimmerman a victim of racial injustice. The race-baiters don’t want that because it could trigger a long-overdue backlash.

Segregation ended half a century ago but racial politics has been frozen in time since then. People like Al Sharpton have based their entire careers on racial grievance-mongering. Meanwhile the quality of life in our inner-city black communities has deteriorated. Enough is enough.

Slavery was wrong. Segregation was wrong. Racism is still wrong. But this is the 21st Century.

The Era of White Guilt is over.

From The Politics of Rage and Stupidity by Rick Moran:

Being angry is not an excuse. Would that Weinstein got as worked up over the body count in Chicago on a typical summer weekend. He goes into a rage over a picture of a black teenager lying dead on the ground? Pay a visit to the Cook County morgue one night after the carnage this weekend and Mr. Weinstein may have an attack of apoplexy. There will almost certainly be a gaggle of Trayvon Martins lying on slabs, lives cut short by a stray bullet. Will they have died any more senselessly than Trayvon Martin? Only stupidity — or the cold calculation of agenda-driven journalism — would posit the idea that such wasn’t the case.

Of course, the shooters probably won’t be white. And the reason why that matters how much we care about the victim says far more about those whose overwrought emotions are strangely reserved for incidents where being “angry” or exhibiting “rage” authenticates their credentials with certain groups than about any genuine feelings generated by what should have been a private tragedy.

Actually, I claim no window into the soul of Mr. Weinsten and am unable to glean his intent. But when “over the top” is considered an understatement used to describe a piece of writing, what other conclusion can we draw but that the author is seeking to ratchet up the anger against Mr. Zimmerman, making any reconciliation after the trial impossible?

With justice must come reconciliation and writers like Weinstein are making it impossible to achieve either.

Shouldn’t you have ended your disgusting screed with “white power!”? Racist piece of shit.

      • leslie says:

sorry, I wrote the above comment without reading any of the other comments.

I can’t believe Wanda and her kind still think that word means anything anymore. And that’s a really sad thing.

    • swanspirit says:

Rac-ist? the new definition is someone who makes a living or seeks approval by race-baiting.

    • wmcb says:

You mad? Get used to the new reality that YOU created, Wanda. I no longer even flinch, much less cower and feel guilty, when you screech RAAAYYYYCCCIIIIST at me.

Where is your power going to come from when people no longer feel guilty or give a flying shit, Wanda? Whatcha got then?

    • Internal Exile says:

Wanda, what guilt hustlers like you fail to realize is that in many people, the guilt button can only be pushed so often before it breaks.

Mine broke in 2008 when guilt hustlers like you demanded that I vote for an insufficiently qualified stooge of the Malefactors Of Great Wealth.

Those MOGW paid for his Astroturf “victories” in a bunch of caucuses in deep crimson states, but even so, the party bosses had to help him across the nomination finish line. 🙄

Meanwhile, guilt hustlers like you were accusing anyone who opposed your false messiah for ANY reason a RAYYYCISSSTTTTT!!!1!

So, I decided I no longer gave a damn. 😛

I voted for the Green presidential candidate both times your false messiah ran. Deal with it.

Note to Crawdads: I say “guilt hustlers” because there are several different kinds of guilt hustlers, of which race hustlers are one specific variety.

    • Lulu says:

The end of the White Guilt Cash Cow is over. Guilt used as an extraction device has always been hit or miss. It has become ridiculous.

      • Anthony says:

Does that include royalties? I understand Mother Sabrina has trademarked “Justice for Trayvon”.

        • Lulu says:

Yep. Part of the game. And the fact that the trademark was entered so early in the process shows just how it was constructed and for what reason.

        • Mary says:

          Google Trayvon Martin Foundation.

It was established right after TrayMom trademarked his name and other phrases—-it is the $$$ depositing place for all the donations from Black churches and organizations all over the world that have been swept up in the false information provided to media/public re TM, including the pictures of him as a younger child. It’s all about “the cause.”

In reality, it is the place from which the pimping lawyers are paid, the place from which the TM family finds $$$ to not work and to buy new clothes, etc to look good in court.

It is also the place—plans have already been laid—from which TrayMom, TrayDad, and Traybrother will receive annual salaries to travel around the world and make appearances, thereby not having to hold down their previous jobs for, hopefully, the rest of their lives.

True story. Explore it yourself. You’ll be astounded at how early how completely this plan was laid.

A guilty verdict in the current trial is just a step in the plan.

        • driguana says:

Yes, and a really interesting aspect about the Traymom money aspect of this is that it doesn’t really matter if Zimmerman is acquitted or found guilty…either way she makes money. Disgusting.

Or as The O’Jays put it…

        • swanspirit says:

The most popular items for sale with Trayvon’s pic wearing the hoodie on the site are buttons , $5 each , and iPhone skins .$10.00 each .

    • Lulu says:

I watched part of a “panel” thing on Fox last night on Zimmerman (there was nothing else on and I was getting ready to sleep). Most were lawyers (maybe all) and most agreed there was no case except for three out of fifteen. All three were at various stages of hysteria. One was some kind of defense attorney defending Trayvon as if he were on trial. I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown. Another was a young black attorney who espoused that black boys (infantilizing them) are always afraid and right. The last was a terrifying young prosecutor who believes the state is always right and must bring “certain” prosecutions to maintain order. These three also made fun of Zimmerman for being a “fraidy cat” type of male who just got his ass kicked by a young virile black and should have just took it because he really wasn’t hurt by it and how dare he carry a gun when he is supposed to be their view of society’s pussy. It was quite a window into their worldview and extremely disturbing. I would suggest that someone beat the shit out of them but they would probably think it was OK depending on who did it. All three make their bread and butter from this worldview.

      • DandyTiger says:

I saw that, and you nailed it. Quite amazing.

        • Lulu says:

Those women were scary. Like I said I was getting ready to sleep and I just stood there in my jammies with my mouth open. It was obvious that they had watched none of the trial or even read anything but propaganda. But it is their livelihood they are protecting.

      • Anthony says:

One was some kind of defense attorney defending Trayvon as if he were on trial. I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown

Please tell me it wasn’t CNN’s Sunny Hostin… She was drooling about how hot John Guy was, calling him “McDreamy”. Mark Geragos ripped her a new one after letting her embarrass herself for about 10 minutes

      • leslie says:

Same thing here. Lulu. I was getting ready for bed and turned on the teevee and saw/heard that. I, too, just stood there, shocked, with my mouth open. I’m still shaking my head. (And ftr, I hate those “panels” and try to stay away from Hannity. He irritates me no end.)

Try ordering “Slings and Arrows”. My sister told me about it and although I couldn’t stream it on Netflix, I could on Amazon and it was WONDERFUL. I’m gonna watch the 3rd season tonight. Just look it up and see if it tickles your fancy. Last night was the end of a remarkably stressful day in a remarkably stressful week. I had just returned from a beautiful concert at Ravinia (of which I missed the first half because they had changed the track of my train and I took the wrong train.) I was too tired and it was too late to try to watch the beginning of the 3rd season. I’m addicted to it and there are only 3 seasons with only 6 episodes in each.

Holy Haruhi, where did they find this fascist? 😮

Again, I used to think all USAmerican leftists were happy hippie peace-love-and-understanding “Question Authority” types–except for a few anomalous outliers like the Weathermen–and you had to go to Communist countries (if you could still find any of those) to find violent, authoritarian leftists.

I think that’s a lot of the reason I lean leftward.

The old political paradigms are dissolving before my eyes. 😕

So they got rid of him. 👿

  7. driguana says:

This is such a sad situation. No matter what happens there will be an angry backlash, especially with the race baiters. What I wonder most is what position will those take who think Zimmerman acted in a justifiable manner? It’s like certain social forces are setting this up for a confrontation despite whatever happens. Wish or cut race bait! Certain sides are egging for a fight.

  8. Here are some more poor Florida “Children”. This is about 2 miles as the crow flies from my home.

Three students are accused of beating a younger student aboard a Pinellas County school bus.

Officials said the bus driver from Lealman Intermediate School called for help when three students “ganged up” on a 13-year-old student, kicking and punching the victim.

The driver stopped the bus near 20th Avenue South and 51st Street. Police said the suspects used the emergency exit of the bus to escape.

Joshua Reddin, Julian McKnight, and Lloyd Khemradj, all 15 years old, were arrested a short time later.

An investigation revealed one of the suspects had tried to sell drugs to the victim in a school bathroom. The victim notified officials at the school. Later that day, the suspects and victim rode the same school bus home.

Officials said the victim tried to crawl under a seat on the bus as the suspects punched and kicked the victim for roughly a minute, police said.

The victim suffered a fractured arm. Police say Joshua Reddin also took the victim’s money after the beating.

All three teens are charged with aggravated battery. Reddin is also charged with unarmed robbery. All three have been released from police custody.

McKnight’s father says the attack is not his son’s normal behavior.

The bus driver is off the road while Pinellas school officials review his actions.

Gulfport Police Chief Robert Vincent says he can understand the driver not getting involved during the fight, but he says he has questions about how long it took for the driver to tend to the injured victim.

Lealman Intermediate is a drop-out prevention school in St. Petersburg.

A few years back there was a school bus video of three black kids beating up a white kid. Of course that wasn’t racist.

      • Of course not. These kids were even younger than Martin. And at least one was allegedly dealing pot.

I taught art to dozens of “at risk youths” here for several years and admittedly was at times nervous with some of the actions and behaviors. In fact the center where this after-school program was held, was on several occasions locked down for gang violence.

I am SO TIRED of the Well-heeled, well-educated black community (Sharpton, Jackson, Jealous) ignoring the systematic destruction of the black youth “world” and then screaming “RACIST” when someone ultimately gets tired of this shit and kicks ass or kills someone.

These kids in this video are not “children” – they are thugs – …

it’s too early and I have too much to do today for a rant…..

She also was doing funny business with her budgets to jump up the funding on her own and the main assistant prosecutor at the Zimmerman trial pensions. No other employees in her office got the pension enhancements. When the local paper reported it from leaks (duh! she screwed them) in her office she punished her employees and the newspaper. It is almost as if she knew they might get caught so was funding their getaway plan. Then she sat behind her prosecutors at the trial and was alternately rolling her eyes or texting. She is a very strange woman.

  13. Somebody says:

I’m very concerned for GZ since the jury didn’t come back quickly. I think they’re strongly considering the manslaughter charge. I don’t know what the dynamics are, but there must be at least one hold out on one side or the other.

Maybe they are just being meticulous, but somehow I don’t think that’s it. If they bought self defense then it’s self defense, acquit and go home.

    • swanspirit says:

I think they are being methodical and careful . I like that they are looking at the evidence .

      • Lulu says:

I do too. I think they want to be seen as serious and deliberative. No snap decisions and give both sides a fair review. All juries should do that.

Completely off topic, please pardon me.

If any of you happen to need a rental truck for moving do NOT rent a truck from budget…..simply do NOT!

My poor husband is moving my daughter from grad school in Tuscaloosa, AL to her new job in Mooresville, NC. The truck we rented is a total POS. My husband was a concrete truck driver many moons ago and he’s had a difficult time keeping the truck in the lane. Furthermore he went through a thunderstorm and it rained INSIDE the cab……poured in through the roof and soaked him. The windows were up and everything, but there is a big crack in the roof. Luckily only a few boxes in the back got wet, mostly kitchen stuff so meh.

Now they’re unloaded and trying to return the truck and start the drive home to Florida, but the gas gauge isn’t working properly and won’t show the tank full. The woman at the desk refuses to take the truck because she says it’s not full. My husband returned to the gas station and pumped 6/10ths of a gallon into the truck at which point gas ran out onto the ground. The freaking truck is full…….but the lady refuses to take it. She told my husband he has to wait until after 10:30 which is an hour from now. At that point they may have an employee that will take the truck to the gas station and “fill it up properly”.

    Do NOT rent from Budget!!!

    • yttik says:

      Sorry! How frustrating.

      • Somebody says:

I just heard from them, apparently when someone took the truck around back the gas gauge popped up to full. So they took the truck back finally!!!! Daughter and husband are now on the road headed back home to Florida!

My daughter will be home for a week and then go back to NC and start her new job. My son’s premature baby is doing well, out of NICU and into a step down nursery! The doctors say she’ll be coming home in another week maybe two. SOOOOOOO hopefully our lives will be returning to normal sometime very soon……normal, ha, what’s that?

        • helenk3 says:

so glad about the baby. soon you will be able to spoil her and teach her to do things to drive mommy and daddy nuts. the revenge of the grandparent.
