More about those dumb celebrities who can’t figure out why people won’t tune them in anymore …. Here’s Jane Fonda reminding Vietnam veterans to suck it, she got the part anyhow.

I always thought she was overrated anyway.

      • swanspirit says:

OMG i saw the “teaser” , where Jane plays Nancy Reagan , and she SO SUCKS . She is Jane Fonda , wearing a Nancy Reagan Halloween costume . Her voice , inflection cadence pronunciation and her gestures , are all Jane , and none of Nancy . What a farce .

        • 49erDweet says:

If her father hadn’t been a fairly successful actor, she woulda been just another talentless starlet who slept her way through Hollywood. Sorta like another famous “outlaw” Jane, except not as nice and with smaller boobs.
(Most of you won’t get this unless you Google).

        • helenk3 says:

Jane Russell was so much prettier than Hanoi Jane

      • angienc says:

Her entire career — including her Oscar — is because her dad is Henry Fonda. She has absolutely no real talent and is only OK looking — her last name is what “made” her a star.

        • swanspirit says:

and she was willing to show her boobs in Barbarella . She should stick to playing two dimensional comic book characters , because that is what she is .

        • angienc says:

She played a poor man’s cheap version of Bridget Bardot in Barberella — even slept with & married the guy who “made” Bardot a star to do it. Jane. Fonda has *never* achieved anything on her own.

        • angienc says:

*ending should have read “on her own merits.”

Wow, must be the sequester as they’ve really downsized this year …. from a 21 million dollar house to 7.6 million ? Wonder why the Kerrys or Kennedys never let them use their compounds ? Or Tiger Woods’ in Florida ? I’m sure they have better security in place than the WH.

It’s a resort. This is their season. They must absolutely (but privately) HATE this, (except for maybe the accounting department). Fed staff staying there won’t tip, won’t suck up all that much extra booze, and won’t party wildly till the wee hours as much as most of their normal guests WOULD HAVE. The staff up there have got to be ‘down’ with this. But can’t say so. Precious irony!

this seems to be becoming very pervasive throughout the education system today. every day i read something like this from all over the country

    MYIQ
do they give classes on how to deal with people in law school?
my daughter just got a letter from a law student that showed such lack of a clue on dealing with people. apparently this kids interns at the attorney general of Pa’s office. brought the office into threatening my kid over a landlord tenant issue. My family will be reasonable and would try to help if needed. but we do not handle treats well.
my daughter called the attorney general’s office and wanted to know why they were threatening her. the law student might lose her internship.
the tenants family is having some problems right now as the husband just died. my daughter would be more than understanding as she lost her husband not quite two years ago. if if were monetary she would give them a break, we have all had rough times and had landlords who gave us a break and we remember that.
the kid made the whole situation much worse than it had to be.
I hope they give some kind of teaching on how not to make a matter worse in law school

    • 49erDweet says:

Helen, at a law school near Fresno you already had to have an AA degree, but they had no special class on not ticking people off. Sounds as if the intern got carried away with the “majesty and authority” of his temporary office and went too far without oversight. I’d say a big, hairy push back against the AG’s office would be in order, but then be reasonable.

      • helenk3 says:

my daughter only knew about one problem and had told them it would be fixed asap. it was a leak and could not be fixed until it stopped raining.
What made her so mad was she would have helped the family and done so in the past so there was no need for the threats.
as someone who had just lost a husband and knowing how hard she and her daughters took the loss, she would have been more than understanding. but do not threaten, then the Irish comes out and we take no prisoners

        • Lulu says:

Get rid of the tenants when their lease is up. Going to the legal authorities before telling the landlord what the problem is an act of bad faith. Sorry about the loss of their spouse but they have no judgement.

    • Lulu says:

The law student SHOULD loose their internship. Nothing they do should be without oversight. Nothing. I have worked in government offices with law student interns and they cannot go to the bathroom without permission. They do NOT send out letters on letterhead. Unacceptable and the Attorney General’s office owes an apology.

      • Klown says:

When I worked at a law office while I was in law school it was a while before I was allowed to send letters to anyone without approval. And I was a full-time employee.

        • lildoggy4u says:

Question: who signed that letter? Should have been a supervising attorney with position. Direct inquires to that person

        • helenk3 says:

as far as I know it was the law student. I know when you are grieving you do things without thinking, but do not attack before you know person you are attacking. she does not live in the house her parents did, now it is her mother and siblings. My daughter has worked with them since they moved in. right before they moved in the house was remodeled so there can not be that many problems most of the stuff is new

I need advice from experienced cat servants. Is it normal for them to pick high-traffic areas of the house to take naps?

Baxter used to find the most inconvenient (for me) spots to lay down and start snoring. I thought it was just one of her many quirks because none of the other cats did that. (Anakin liked the sweet-spot on the bed and couch but he rarely slept on the floor.)

Catness is doing it now (minus the snoring). Unlike Baxter (who would not move) when I try to step over Catness she suddenly bolts, causing me to stagger around trying to avoid stepping on her.

Is this a common hobby of cats?

“There were two groups of people in line at the ticket counter and one of the groups became impatient with the child who was taking their turn choosing a prize,” Mironischen said. “Words were exchanged and one thing led to another.”

About 20 people began yelling and throwing punches in the crowded area. A 6-year-old related to one of the unruly guests suffered a bump to the head after being pushed around during the scuffle, Mironischen said. Someone used pepper spray during the argument, and five people were treated by the fire department at the scene.
