Real Clear Politics:
Krauthammer On Obama: “This Is His Economy And He’s Pretending He’s Just Stumbled Upon It”
I find it astonishing that he goes around making speeches in which he deplores the state of the economy, the growing income inequality, chronic unemployment, staggering middle class income, and it’s as if he has been a bystander, as if he’s been out of the country for the last five years. It’s his economy; he’s the president. He’s talking as if this is the Bush economy, I don’t know, the Eisenhower economy, and he just arrived in a boat and he discovers how bad the economy is. This is a result of the policies he instituted. He gave us the biggest stimulus in the history of the milky way, and he said it would jump start the economy. The result has been the slowest recovery, the worst recovery since World War II, and that is the root of all of the problems he’s talking about, the income inequality — the median income of the middle class of Americans has declined by 5% in his one term. So who’s responsible for that? Those were his policies. He talks about this in the abstract and he actually gets away with it in a way that I find absolutely astonishing, it’s magical. This is his economy and he’s pretending he’s just stumbled upon it. And the policies he proposes are exactly the ones he proposed and implemented in the first term.
Yeah, I know. They all do it. Presidents claim credit for every good thing that happens during their term(s) and blame everything bad on someone else.
But George Bush is long gone. You built that, Mr. President. You wanted the job. You were ruthless in seeking it and ruthless in fighting to keep it.
I never thought you were up to the job. I’m not real happy about being proven right. But it belongs to you.
Own it.
How not to win friends and influence people:
Fire them now for terroristic threats.
The only way that this will belong to Obama is if the media makes him the proprietor, the media must hold him accountable and it does not appear that this will happen.
I disagree a tad – this will belong to the big Zero whether today’s media agrees or not. They are doing their best to obfuscate the cause of our malaise, but future historians and economists will not be so kind.
That said, in the short run you ARE correct. The nation’s low-information voters will not know for another generation or two they’ve been thoroughly and permanently reamed and creamed from both ends by their friends at today’s Dhimocrat party, and their lord and master, Teh Won.
If we survive, and to me it’s a question, it will take three decades to recover. I will not be here to see it. I just hope my grandkids will.
How Democratic.
Un-fucking-believable… This is textbook narcissistic personality disorder at work and in your face. He really needs to have that checked…
A slimy creep possibly best suited to representing the character and vigor of NYC? We shall see.
How little we know, how soon we forget….

I listened to karl rove on tv yesterday acting like a scared whiny little boy. “but they will blame the republicans if the government shuts down”.
get some backbone if the bill passes to stop funding obamacare and backtrack refuses to sign it that is on him and the democrats this is the time to take a stand. obamacare hurts this country. basically it is an attack on the economy of this country
Why does anyone on either side listen to Rove?
^this^
I have never liked karl rove. but for some reason he got on my last nerve yesterday.
If you want the GOP establishment talking points then he’s your source.

backtrack on leno next week
Of course! That’s exactly what Reagan did to stimulate the economy. Go on all the talk shows. Be “charming”. Works wonders. Entrepreneurs will respond by opening up tens of businesses. Economy (according to the media) will be “fixed”!
And then back to Martha’s Vineyard for some serious stuff.
I hope Leno gives it to him. 😆

There’s nothing astonishing or magical about it: he is not held accountable by the (ahem) free press. He can say whatever the hell he wants and doesn’t have to justify any of it, and most people are not informed so they just believe the same blah blah blah. If it wasn’t so damaging, it would be incredibly boring and predictable.
