“Andrew Spanswick, a(n idiot) friend of the DiMaggio family, said, “We’re disappointed that we didn’t get him back alive and that we can’t hear his side of the story.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

It looks like my nephew will finally be leaving Kenya. He has been stuck in Nairobi since the airport burned down.

No word yet on whether he found Obama’s real birth certificate.

Thank him for looking, will ya?

Maureen Doud has a Hillary / president opinion in NYT .
Wow did she swill the koolade again? I need a shower from reading her droolings of Obama and seeing her push the knife into the Clintons… again.
Though, she does have a nice dig at McCaskill.

those chicks have it right. that is true feminism. the ability to handle what life throws at you when no one else is there shows a true feminist

    • Constance says:

I like the Chicks. But Republicans need to stop implying that having Obama care cover birth control means that the government or business is providing women with birth control. Women are going to be required to buy very expensive health care insurance and the only health care service young women need is often birth control. The inflated premiums women are required to pay are paying for their birth control. If that is exempted from the plan you have a bunch of young health women forced to pay too high prices to subsidize the erectile dysfunction and prostate problems of old men without getting anything in return. So Republicans need to answer for me will men be having the government pay for their ED drugs? This is a dead horse of an issue for Republicans and they need to stop enthusiastically whipping it if they hope to win elections.

Another thing how is birth control a women’s issue? It is a human issue that women usually take responsibility for.

Simple, they should be against any mandated coverage of any sex related health. If you’re going to be consistent, be consistent. Then if someone wants any of those coverages, they can add the option. That’s small government philosophy. And it would be nice if they were that way about everything, like war, security, people sexual preference, etc.

Then the Dem party can push for both to be required. That’s some government things are worth it because it helps society overall. That’s government has a roll as parent type thingy philosophy. And it would be nice if they also checked their ideas with better research and studies to watch for unintended consequences of their bigger government approaches. See for example, war on poverty.

Consistency would be nice. Then easier for voters to choose. Instead we get both sides riddled with inconsistency and corruption, so in the end they make different noises but do the same crap.

        • DandyTIger says:

And the more consistent libertarian approach would be the government doesn’t mandate any coverage for insurance companies. Not just on the sex side. It’s not the governments business. Individuals and insurance companies can do whatever they want with coverage. The governments job stays on the safety and legal side of thing to enforce against nasty and illegal stuff. But if individuals and doctors are fine with paying cash. And insurance companies are fine insuring against major medical only, etc. And the government wouldn’t be there making it illegal for insurance companies to sell across state lines, etc. The more you get government out of everyone’s hair, the less likely corruption becomes. That’s their philosophy anyway.

It’s why we need to drop the phony “War on Women” and have reasonable discussions, the messages are getting skewered by partisanship. I still disagree with a lot on the left, and the right, and a media complicit with covering dancing vaginas rather than issues that affect all of us.

No, nothing is free, but the dancing vaginas want it to be a right. Also college kids for Obama haven’t figured out his “affordable college” still means they have to pay back the loans.

Here’s another one, from a young mom on PolitiChicks and a regular on Ace……

I would have found her experience amusing (nothing worse than a concerned mom in the ER being ignored), but a similar situation happened to my niece and grand-nephew. Something’s changing fer shure as two friends, a Physican’s Assistant (a rank above RN) and a Pediatrician have recently both quit recently….blamed Obamacare !?

    • DandyTIger says:

Yep. It’s a train wreck. And the Dems know it. Their only hope, funnily enough, is if the Repubs shoot themselves in the foot and make big noise about de-funding, and shut down the government to do it. First rule in politics, if the other side is making mistakes, shut up and let them talk.

I will tell you why this is really bad . Ordinarily , in ANY decent ER , a CHILD is given priority , even if their vitals are normal . She could have easily had any number of potentially dangerous conditions that should have been assessed .
She could have had a bowel obstruction ,caused by Intussusception in children which is not uncommon ; a foreign body , or even a live appendix , (doesn’t always raise temperature and usually MINIMALLY requires a white count ) . Those are just a few of the possibilities .
If i could advise this mother , and I advise any of you , to forget telling anyone where to shove their stethoscope , because it may have already been there; but instead use the word to which most doctors and hospitals will respond very quickly , and which also quite frequently appears here at TCH , if you feel you are not receiving the care you should . This word is very effective .
This word is commonly referred to by the medical community as the “L” word , which stands for LAWYER . Any variety of same will work , Lawsuit , Litigation , Litigiousness etc etc . You may use it in a sentence , as in “The next call I will be making will be to my lawyer ” ,
” Am I going to have to resort to Litigation? ” “I have a history of Litigiousness “. and my favorite ” I am going to take two aspirin and not wait til morning to call my Lawyer ”
Remember , the idiots who wrote the Abominable Health Care Act also neglected to include tort reform .
